Just a spare ; ), but it would not hurt to buy and try as you could always go down to a fairway wood length, or even try it next time you buy a new FW shaft b4 you have it fitted. Its like how many times do we all change shafts, heads, swing weights and so on, we spend a fortune in the pursuit of perfection so this is just the same as all experiments really. Would defo recommend it as I said, my reasoning was that FW shafts are made to carry a heavier head so in theory could be more stable infarct with a driver head, this does seem to be the case.

Ok chaps I gamed the Romaro hex black today with the AD SF 6 shaft, FEEL: Wow the results were very unexpected, the shaft felt so solid through the transition at the top of the back swing (not loose at all), but even more surprising was the feeling as it released through the hitting zone (Smooth and powerful) FLIGHT & DISTANCE: The flight was mid and very penetrating and actually reminded me of a 3w flight and or the T388, distance was slightly better than average but heaps of run and then some more. The accuracy was also very good when a good swing was made. i have a tendency to fade the ball.....this didn't fade any more than some of my more accurate drivers. This was just an experiment and i only used it on 6-7 holes but the results were definitely better than I had expected, I will game it a few times more to be sure, I might even keep this build together as something different in the locker. I would definitely recommend trying this as the shaft will never be cut to short for its real purpose, give it a go chaps and let me know how you go, I think you will be pleasantly surprised...! Yep something like that...I had heard someone say that if you get the right FW shaft it can work very well in a driver as they are designed for heavier heads, Im guessing it might be slightly more accurate...only a guess though. Will be glued tonight so will game it Wednesday, fairly eager to see the results though. Will keep you posted.
