Copper zen as a backup, mmm not greedy....Sensational.
  3. Over a long period of time it has to be the 301 for me. Only titleis I have gamed are the 591 forged or the DCI tour blade, they both special irons although bit older. Like the look of the new MBs

Great putter....fill more than your boots with this one. Was gona say someone should be all over this like a fat chic on a pizza and a can of coke. But I wont say that ;)
  5. Anything placed in the head of a driver will stop the sound dissipating and reverberating in its usual manner. Sound is a huge part of feel, I think messing with the 388 sound will make it a different beast.
  6. Think the nunchuk is heavy in the but, so usually a 100g + shaft would help with SW but don't think the nunchuk does. We checked the profile out yesterday and it is nothn like a std shaft, one shaft fits all. Mikey is right the hot melt can be placed anywhere in the head, that's why I suggested toe placement with tip weight limiting the effect on bias. If I remember I think the 388 has a weight placement in the inside heel as std for face back to square. Like I said not a pro though so I could be wrong. 25g grip will also help.
  7. +1, they look superb, high toe nice and simple.
  8. Congrats mate, great looking bag.
  9. Also consider the Quadra F series proto, very good shafts at a good price also, they in the store, check them out. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/quadra-fire-express-prototype-2014-ver-1-shaft
  10. Yep I think the nunchuk is like over 100g.
  11. Guess all I sayin is if you are gona play a driver at 44 and want Dswing weights then the 388 isnt an easy option. That doesn't mean to say it is not possible by a good builder and some creative tinkering. Dont we all play this game and buy all this gear to dream the impossible dream. I aint a good player by any stretch, but I love the game and the toys, especially the 388, it just doesn't like me ;)
  12. Have to say Nob-san, they look very cool, some TT shafts and gold wovens will finish them of nicely.
  13. Cool nob-san They look great, can see the rainbow effect. How do they feel with the copper plate? Can we eyeball the irons ;)
  14. I would suggest SX as the head weight is light @ around 193g. Even S in a high grade shaft. Probably pick one up second hand for experimenting. As nob-san asked what is your current gamer, maybe try that first to get an idea of how the head reacts with the flex and rating you are normally comfortable with.
  15. Thought I would start this thread so I can get to see some of the custom creations you fellas have had done. I would love to see the product and hear the opinions of all custom work in one section, more as a point of reference for me and am sure for some others. Or even any custom builds that people are particularly proud of. Please show and tell. Cheers
  16. I don't see this as a JDM issue at all, this has been the trend for all modern drivers mainly out of the US Its only the fact that you can adjust non JDM drivers in a 1000 combinations including the weights that make the difference and allows us to consider head weight of a driver when purchasing JDM. IMO that's why I like JDM drivers and FW...the fact you can order your specs without adjust-ability to an extent. You always get the exception like the T388 which is a one of a kind and designed by IMO the best designer in golf gear history...Mr KK As most will say on the boards here it is probably in the top 10 drivers of all time, but as with most things not perfect for everyone at 193g. I see it more the average golfer issue not getting the distance with the shorter driver so trying to increase length with longer shafts. You will also find that many shafts including USDM are designed to be used at 45+ Different strokes different folks, It can be easy for a low handicapper to say the driver is more about control and not distance but for us mere mortals what we have left for our second shot makes a huge difference. Distance is king if you find one that works.
  17. Yep he would know best, what time Thursday? will be down myself this week at some point.
  18. Yep even @ 45 as most of me 388s have been....tricky to get consistent. For sure smaller head drivers must hold the weight for heavier shaft choices that are more accurate. Dont get me wrong, some of the longest drives I have hit have been with the 388 crazy noir combo @45, but just not consistent enough to warrant a permanent place in the bag, having said that nothn seems to find a permanent place in the bag no matter how good it is. Working on that though ;)
  19. Was just thinking Mark...doesn't happen that often...lol Usually speak first. Wouldn't a hot melt from your builder have been better suited in 5g towards the toe and a 5g tip weight giving you the desired weight and balance?
  20. Keen to hear how it goes at that length, not sure if I have heard ant reviews on one that short. All the 388s I have owned have all been more or less 193g on me scale. Using a 410v with QFE F4 @ 45 and it is just perfect in every way, should really be sending the rest to Coventry and sticking with that but I just love the big stick collection, the putter collection, in fact I love them all. No doubt I will acquire another 388 in the future and continue the love hate relationship, I may just need to give it a real good talking to the next time we meet....Something like...Now look here you lile bastard, are you gona behave yourself this time around. Wish I could get on with it, hope it all works for you buddy, leme know when its up and running and will come for a hit at your track man. Not keen on a tip weight?

Think I can help here D, or at least give my opinion for what that is worth. Been playing the elite series for a while now, have tried them all....just about. For me these are the best grips for all round usability and easy to maintain. very tacky when they warm up. and as we both like...great in the looks department Currently using the RS 50 for putter on my zen and golds, use the athlete A50 on the irons. Use a mixture of dark and light grips on different sets and wedges, I find that the absorption of grease and grime from the hands to the grip a big negative when it comes to using light grips. In the past I have steered away from light or white grips for this reason. I don't use a glove now, the elite athletes have more than enough tack not to use, one of my pet hates was removing the glove every time I was on the green, so the elites are great in that respect, back to the point in question....These grips are without doubt the best when it comes to (keeping clean) like I said I don't use a glove so my grips tend to dirty a bit quicker. After about 10 rounds I always give the gear a good clean and oil (heads & shafts) at the same time I give my grips a clean, bit of soap in warm water and an old toothbrush. They look and feel like new again. Almost forgot to say they are the longest lasting grips I have used by a country mile. Look at the A50 (my choice) and the new Y360S, hearing good things about those. Dont think you can go wrong with the elite series D, hope this helps in your (grip quest) So to summarise...durability, looks, feel, swing weight optimisation and easy to maintain, look no further than elite.

I just hope they bring out a CB players edition, not sure if I could handle the pure blades. Think I would be ok with the blades from 7-PW but the longer irons not so sure. Very keen to build a set of cavitys, blades, wedges and Di's combo, all same suit same shafts. DI's 3&4 CB blades 5-7 blades 8-PW Wedges 50/54/58 Leaving room for driver, UT & putter Would go with other DI's if yururi could take care of the rest.
