  1. Wow, some great gear here! Some rare gear too, that AAA is a crazy fantastic price! (along with the others...)
  2. These look wonderful Chris!!!!
  3. D, absolutely!
  4. Maybe as well... "Should I go for this shot? I think Chuck Norris approves..."
  5. Absolutely! Will shoot it over in a bit...
  6. Yep! 5 dozen coming! I am also going to make another with Shooter McGavin if I can find a good .gif...
  7. Great setup and I bet it goes long! GLWS!
  8. And... With their customizations, hard not to order some with this on it...
  9. Nice gear man!!!! Great bag(s)...
  10. Same here D, thanks for showing these off! I ordered some of the Pros just to compare but after a round with the Pro+ and a good chipping session yesterday, I think I have those dialed in. Though, one course I play has extremely hard greens, so maybe my gamer is the Pro+ but for that course on dry conditions, a Pro with more greenside spin wouldn't hurt :) Maybe some Tour versions for rainy/soggy days where you don't need the spin? With those prices, hard to pass up :)
  11. I got my 5 dozen yesterday of Pro+ and just ordered 3 dozen of the Pro's to be safe as well (logo'd too :) For the price, you can't beat this ball...

    Fantastic price and condition! GLWS!
  13. Has anyone tried ineedtheball?
  14. This part in that article is very interesting: "All of the balls are manufactured in Taiwan by the same company (not named in the suit) with a cast, aromatic urethane cover at the approximately same thickness and hardness." I wonder if "all of the balls" include Titleist as well? It certainly makes you think more about the differences between the various balls on the market and ultimately the manufacturing vs. marketing that happens behind the scenes...
  15. I played a round yesterday with D on my home course and played the full round with the Vice Pro Plus balls. As mentioned, the packaging, look, feel, all scream premium ball. If I compared it to the XV, the skin seems to have more grip when you run two against each other and performed similar to the XV around the greens in chipping/pitching and short irons into the green. If I compared the Pro+ against a normal Z-Star, it definitely does not perform as well in chipping as the normal Z-Star, but neither did the XV. I did not notice much difference on side-spin compared to the XV and do I dare say it might have been a little longer as it seems to be a lower compression ball than the XV. So, after getting past the mentally, was that a bad shot or or the ball aspects yesterday, I am comfortable about the 5 dozen that are being delivered today ;) (3 days from Germany to California with custom logos - wow).
  16. I agree, I would love to see the look improved a little and if I had my pick, a smaller more compact head with maybe a deeper face :)
  17. The SUS316s are special. They are thinner top-line and sole to the 302s, feel (IMO) better, and perform just as good. They are also rare to find head only, so I am also shocked these are still here :) (I also played them for a year before my Modarts and loved them, so this isn't just a review by reading specs/posts/etc).
  18. Watching D hit the 435/AAA, I immediately knew it was definitely a setup more for him versus me. I am a natural medium/medium-lower hitter (except the 2 times in 20 rounds I have some pop-ups - like today :) and I like more active tip shafts that allow me to work it but also a kick-point that gets me a little more loft. The AAA is a stable and great feeling shaft, probably one of the best I have ever hit - think of a lighter, better feeling Motore Speeder Tour Spec - same dispersion and ball flight but lighter and more stable. The AAA is an absolutely outstanding shaft if you are looking for stable, lower launch and great feeling shaft. I just need something a little more active which my 7D build brings me (though I can get in trouble too if I ask for it). Either way, agree with this thread, 7D (and AAA) are some pretty special shafts...

    Wow, gorgeous!!!! GLWS!
  20. I am excited to get my Distance shaft. I love my Standard 7D (unless I put a crap swing on it) but haven't gotten to know my Control one that well and it hasn't gotten close to kicking my Standard out (which has good distance, good dispersion and really only gets out of whack if I try to do something funky or put a funky swing to it). I personally definitely felt a large difference between the Standard and Control (which is one purpose...) These 7D shafts are something special though. I hit the AAA for the first time today, not too shabby either, that thing was super straight with a lower trajectory as well...
  21. Great looking bag, congratulations!
  22. I believe there was a rumor of a new Ryoma fairway wood at some point. Where those accurate, just a rumor, did they showcase anything at the show this year minus their new longer-shafted Maxima ST (like the Ut last year)? Any news or potential interesting rumors?
  23. Agreed, I think we all have had to purge at some point some good gear to keep the wife (and bank) happy :)
