Fantastic session at 7D
Wow ...those are pretty significant gains ! Do you feel the shaft kick in? I am also amazed that the SW has worked out to be so comfortable from the get go. Perhaps worth experimenting with length and SW a little bit with my new builds.

Strengthening 303 lofts....any problems?
Exactly my problem. I do dig and the course is often very soft. OK. Will keep the clubs as it then and just take a club more. Bah!! I can just see the glee on my playing partner's faces.....silly boys!

Strengthening 303 lofts....any problems?
I am building my 303 set and am coming to them from the 503. I love the feel of the 303, easily one of the best irons I have hit, but the lofts are 2 degrees weaker than the 503 in the higher clubs (and one degree weaker in the lower clubs). I kind of enjoy the length I am getting from the 503s although often enough it takes me by surprise! I was planning to leave the 5 and 6 irons the same loft in the new set, but thought to deloft the 7, 8 and 9 by one degree. Hopefully this would result in somewhat of a compromise. Will I have a problem with the bounce designed for these irons by bending them and would that affect the playability if I marginally adjust these lofts? Could I even go two degrees with strengthening if desired? Thanks in advance for any opinions.

What other hobby do you have that you...
Staxxx replied to TourSpecGolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearPhotography for me, although I have calmed down with hardware at the moment and am trying to improve my processing.... Also, spend a lot of time with music. Mostly classical ......(and also am an hopeless audiophile....whatever that means:)

Kamui Works driver hosel depth - KM 200
Thanks Chris. Appreciate that. If any members can chime in, it would be most helpful. I was thinking of drilling a little of the plug out and fathoming what the material inside was by the filings. Anyway, a 1/2 inch bore depth sound pretty much impossible so (in my opinion) it has to be foreign to the head.

Kamui Works driver hosel depth - KM 200
I hope there are some forum members who can remember the time they had a Kamui Works driver head and were building it. I just bought a Kamui Works head KM-200 from a forum member. Unfortunately he did not inform me that the bore depth appears to be about 1/2 inch only. According to Wishon you need about 1 inch for the shaft to hold. I am pretty sure therefore that this is too shallow to shaft up and the shaft will crack if I do so and play it. There seems to be a plug of sorts in the hosel. The weight of the head is 205 gms. Do you think this is a weight that was added to the head? Or perhaps it is the remains of a previous shaft (the only thing the seller mentioned was that his shaft had a crack when he removed it but otherwise it was perfect original condition). I don't know if it is the remnants of a shaft as from the picture one can see it is not hollow (are tips solid?). I cannot determine the material. Since I am not familiar with this club perhaps someone can clarify if this is perhaps how it comes originally? If not, can I or should I drill this plug away? What depth should the bore/hosel be normally and how do i check that I have got it right? I will take a photograph (although it will be difficult) and show you what I mean. Thank you for your help.

Getting the swing weight up....
Thank you. Could you perhaps give me a list of lightweight grips off the top of your head that I could try and order and get shipped to me please? Have you tried the Tour 25 perhaps?

Getting the swing weight up....
I am in the process of shafting my Epon 303 irons with graphite shafts. The first time I just put the shaft, head and grip together the swing weight came out to C7. Eventually the club builder suggested increasing the length of the shaft with a 1/4 inch extention to get about 1 SW + and then put a weight in the tip to bring it to D1 (which I like to play). Temporarily I have lead tape on the head, and like the playing characteristics. If I were to put a purpose made weight in the shaft tip will it change the playing characteristics of the shaft significantly enough for me to notice? Should I alternatively (and is it safer to) go down the route of a very lightweight grip even though I like the overall weight of the club as it is now built? Would appreciate some advice. Thank you.

Has anyone tried the drivers from Works Golf?
I was looking at trying the Wild Maximax (in my quest for all out distance) conforming version driver. Has anyone tried any of their clubs or know about them please?

Fantastic session at 7D
Would love to know how it works for you in terms of consistency and feel. Needless to say it is probably very long with those specs! :)

Fantastic session at 7D
Wow! Those specs are insane! :) Now you really make me want to go out and experiment.......I've never swung a club, I think, with that SW and length. Did you get to try something like it at the fitting or was this the result of the analysis of your swing results on Trackman? Just curious to know how they came up with it. ....Or perhaps you're just really tall ! :))

How is this working out Nob-san? I am particularly interested to hear about the performance of the Grandista head in this set up please.

PRGR's new stuff

I'll adopt the T-MB family, if you have them please.....good home here!

Might have the FWD/ driver alt double winner here....,
I find my F9 to be the same....longer than the usual and can draw at will. I wonder though if it is a function of the shaft (a regular Diamana Thump) that allows me to do this. However, I am also enjoying the same pleasure with my Baldo Brassy 13.5, outdriving my fellow players' drives. I am now getting to believe that perhaps a little more (rather than a little less) loft on my drivers may be the ticket......

303 irons - does anyone know....
Thank you for the information. Perfect.

303 irons - does anyone know....
...what the bottom of bore to groundline dimension is? Is it the standard 1 "? Meaning if I put a 36.5 inch 5 iron butt-trimmed shaft into the appropriate head and grip it (Iomic), I will end up with a finished club of about 37.75 (taking, say, 1/4 inch for the plastic tab on top of the grip)? Thank you

Shaft recommendation for Ryoma D1 driver

Easy to align putter - what helped you?
Wedda, thanks for the input. Yes, of course, do try some other putters. It definitely worked for me. Some people like to use the method of rolling over a point a few feet (or inches) away from the ball. It really does not work for me. I actually like to see the whole putt, right into the hole. If I don't see that putt line right into the hole I do not hit the putt. I like to know or feel where that hole is and may glance at the hole before I stroke my putt, so that I am aware of where it is. Many people like to see the apex, it's not much more to see the putt into the hole from there. Whatever you decide, it will take practice :) All the best ! BTW: "But the ones I miss is due to I do not aim where I know I should aim if that make sense?" I think that maybe concentrating on the right body alignment as mentioned in my earlier post will help you with this. Another thing that I find throws my alignment off is when I don't return my head / eye to over the ball after I take aim or glace at the hole. I catch my head with a slight tilt towards the hole which I have to correct. Hope that helps.

Easy to align putter - what helped you?
The one thing that I found helped me a lot with alignment recently is a reversal of my previous process. I first take general aim, THEN I set up completely neutral and loose-limbed, dominant eye over the ball and make sure I am swinging square. Then I fine tune the whole set up (feet first) to line up my putt to exactly where I want to hit it. Earlier I used to aim, take my stance and stroke the putt. The difference now is that my putt seems much more repeatable and in fact feels very different to what used to be my earlier normal putt, in my case. I understand that putting is very personal, but I find that my best puts are made when I am square and well balanced over the ball. Regardless of the alignment aids on my putter or the club my body angles and alignment dictate where that putter face is going to send the ball. I just make better putts when the focus is on my body. I trust my aim. Regards PS: I am no putting expert on others' putting strokes, but do you think a little more acceleration may also help with your putting? BTW, do you three putt because you miss the short putts? If so, short putts are all about the face angle, but I don't see that to be a problem with your video.
