  1. OK. Great, let me know. Thanks.
  2. Funny that my current favorite shaft is a Diamana SPlus (S) in the Emillid. It is a comfortable shaft for me, but is it and out and out distance shaft - I wonder? I did like the Messenger when I hit it too. Am going to try out the Quadra but not sure I can lay my hands on an AAA reasonably unfortunately. I am assuming these are out and out distance shafts rather than just really good shafts for feel etc. Daverall, you hit it on the nail with regards to ball flight and no roll out. Hence wanted to try to build the JBeam head a little differently from my other drivers .... Thanks all for recommendations!
  3. The Quadra sounds really interesting.... My swing speed is between 100 - 104 mph on the course. Fairly easy transition and high ball flight.
  4. I can't afford 7D or Sanki...lol...but in a more plebeian realm, could you recommend your best distance shaft for this head. I am a naturally high hitter of the ball and would prefer a low spin shaft - don't mind launching it low, mid or high. Thanks for your advice.
  5. Thanks for all the responses. Just back from a round, so sorry for not being able to reply sooner. Will get back to everyone. Thanks!!
  6. The ZY-11 head is in mint condition. The specs are as follows: 9.5 degrees (mid to high launch), -1.0 face angle, 194.5 gms with three standard weights (4 gms, 3 gms, and 1.5 gms). If you would like it heavier I believe the Crazy weight kit can be used with all JBeam drivers. FOR YOUR INFORMATION: According to the Swing Weight Charts at Golf Components - a club 45.5. inches long with a 195 gms head and 65 gms shaft should build out to a swingweight of between D1 and D2. Price SOLD includes shipping anywhere. PP gifted. Pics below. Please ask if you would like more photographs. Offers entertained. Only deal interest would involve a D1 V Spec (not maxima please) in good condition. Or maybe an nice set of irons, heads only - 303, T-MB etc..... Thanks for looking.
  7. Will take the shaft if anyone wants the head. Thanks!

If anyone wants the heads only, I am happy to take the shafts.
  12. I have played this shaft in a TW 727 455 and 455s. It is a superb shaft and launched medium to high for me. I found that the SR suited me best (swingspeed of about 100 mph) but I know I prefer them slightly soft. I hit this long!
  13. Good pick up.....great price!!
  14. I really want to try those dent back wedges. Looks easy to hit. Great bags....
  15. Adam Scott was wearing these yesterday as well.... Just ordered a pair - hope they are as comfortable as they look.
  16. Let me know if you consider separating. Interested in the shaft. Thanks.

    The bounce looks great...
  18. OK. I think I may have got it. Someone at my club mentioned it is the latest Footjoy Dryjoy Casual. Perhaps not in the shops as yet?
  19. I like those dark blue (they may be black) shoes with the white soles. Any idea which brand and model please?
  20. Lol. For every seller there's a buyer though....... (at the right price of course). GLWS!
  21. If you visit London, you must stop by a store off Oxford Street in Mayfair called Higgins......it is a treat for coffee lovers. They still have a four table cafe downstairs where you can order coffee by the bean which is weighed out on old fashioned scales and made up for you. Served with a plate of assorted biscuits.
  22. Thanks Hutchy. Must confess, I used to hit my Ping K15 driver a MILE with its closed face.....seemed to work well for me so looking forward to trying this head.
  23. I thought that the response that I got from Tom Wishon was worth sharing: "Always happy to help with the best information possible. If the driver you have is actually at 9.5* real loft with 1* closed face angle when soled, then if you rotate the face back to 0 square behind the ball, the loft is now 10.1*. The relationship is 1:0.6 because the lofted plane of the head is sitting at a lie angle of probably around 60*. So the loft increase from turning the head from 1 closed to 0 square is not very much. That 0.6* increase in loft means a launch angle increase of @ 0.4*. With regard to the face angle, a 1* change in the face angle is equivalent to a 4 yard change in horizontal dispersion, based on a carry distance of 200 yards. If the carry distance is closer to 250 yds, the 1* change in face angle is equivalent to a 5.5 yard change in horizontal dispersion. Given the fact most fairways are at least 35-40 yards wide, that is not much change in direction of the shot. But it is true that there is most definitely a psychological component of face angle that can be very powerful. There are golfers who literally cannot stand to look at a closed face angle when addressing the ball with the driver or woods. For such golfers who are strongly pre disposed against that look, all sorts of bad things can happen in the swing when they try to hit a club with a closed face. All of them mental in origin, but the fact still stands, if the golfer cannot stand the look of a closed face angle, then he has to either find a driver that sits as he wants it to look, or he has to rotate the club to be square and hold it there when he makes his swing to hit the ball. And to live with the loft increase that results. Club length typically has nothing to do with this. However, it is true that if the length is too long for the control ability of the golfer, the result can be swing errors of all sorts of magnitude. Most typically when a golfer uses a driver that is too long for his ability, the tendency is to swing with more of an over the top, outside in swing path and hit more shots off center. This also tends to bring about a few more heel side impacts and can result in the golfer leaving the face more open than he did with a shorter length driver. No guarantee on that as it can be different with different golfers. Hope this helps, and best wishes to you in this great game," I plan to build the club with the face slightly rotated, i.e. square, and actually am quite happy to end up with a 10* loft. Since I can hit a golf ball with a chair leg if I have to, I am not too worried about the tiny impact on the look at address.
  24. May I recommend one of the set menus at Kikunoi :)
