The "newer" Kamui Pro TP-07 Nitro Version III
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Gotta love how it takes a detective to figure out. I had a Nitro Foam & Nitro non Foam, I'm pretty sure one of them had a red logo which throws me off again. They need a website that explains things better, it's so dated they don't even have the KP101 listed and even that's been replaced. -
Callaway 2013 New Legacy Black Iron
TourSpecGolfer replied to gocchin's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Some demo's came in, I got to give these a rip yesterday at the range side by side against the Stenson models and these are indeed a bit more compact and more forgiving we even think the ball flight is lower. I just wish the finish wasn't chrome but other than that it is an improvement over the stenson model. Even feels equally as good a bit more mute soft. Scanned this image that shows why. Guy's toss another one into the hat if your looking at irons that rival the ONOFF Forged, VG3, etc.. -
The "newer" Kamui Pro TP-07 Nitro Version III
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I don't think the III marked face in the pics has even been released it's supposedly a new version. So I don't understand how there can be a version 4. TP07s Aero has Kamui Logo in Red on face Tp07s Nitro with no Foam has Kamui Logo no color on face TP07s Nitro w/ Foam has Kamui Logo no color on face -
No irons or wedges on the horizon. This is first and foremost a shaft brand thats moving into woods.

The "newer" Kamui Pro TP-07 Nitro Version III
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It's confusing isn't it, especially for me as my brain is swimming in golf club models & specs right now before the show. TP-07s Aero (older model) - TP-07s Nitro (latest model) then foam spec and now Nitro VIII currently there is no mention of a VII or VIII on Kamui's home page. The Aero came before the TP-07 Nitro which gained a DAT face and 6-4ti body but looks quite similar to this one. Does Kamui Pro consider the Aero V1, the Nitro V2, and this _______ as V3? Whatever the case they all have the same name, very similar look, it's confusing. In the image below it shows an Aero paint theme but word is it's VIII Nitro. -
It's a long flight man and for an entire family so I suggest you find the airlines that you would use most in the future and create a strategy of gaining the highest status possible. Also another suggestion is to apply for TSA pre-check for your entire family if it's available. TSA Pre-check + high status + access to lounges = a happier family when you arrive safely at your destination.

Kamui Pro KP102 Irons & Specs for 2014

Will have specs shortly. FW80 on steroids?

I'm all for new gear but this is the 3rd version of the same visual design leaving me confused. We knew a new Kamui Pro driver is coming for over a month now, I was expecting something new & different, KP claims this one is hotter with a thinner face. Ideally I would have liked to see them take this opportunity differentiate or at least change the looks between models like from KP-X to Nitro. Perhaps remove a lot of the text, use matte black, or remove that channel on the sole, how about just a brushed chrome or black sole with no fill. Does the thinner sole translate into more distance? It should so in essence this one is longer than the previous. Does anyone know how to distinguish V1 from V2? VIII has the III on the toe of the face, doesn't V1/V2 have the logo on the toe? Is the V1 black accent and V2 white accent?

It's better than "Precious Edition"... Lol

These are not new. Been around for a bit. Haven't hit them.

Kamui Pro KP-102 Forged Irons (S20C) More brands are using S20C now in Japan, not from Endo but other factories. I must say this set looks much better than the KP-201, the lofts are a bit strong but overall this iron looks promising.

FS: Buchi 56* Prototype made for TSG. Head Only. Its significance is it lacks all the stamping the Japan models have. Not sure on bounce, also I'm pretty sure the face is Raw while the body is plated which is very very cool. If you were to order one of these custom it takes 2-3 months. 175.00 + Shipping

Great irons indeed but Kekoa is looking for something "gushy soft" and neither the 1007 or 2007 fit the bill. The 2007 is a little softer than the 1007 but They are both pure, firm & solid, somewhat soft on center spot shots but not gushy by any measure. If you want solid firm pure then these are killers. Kekoa, here are some pics for you of the Y-Grinds 1007 & 2007. 2007

I think I have a set or two in storage. Let U know in a bit.

We can get proceed guys, I like much of their products just the stamping needs a little work. I'll see if we can get that across to them at the show.

2012 yammy v forged vs 2010 titleist VG3
TourSpecGolfer replied to jeld's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I thought the VG3 was softer and more forgiving, like others say check out the ONOFF forged. The Romaro Type R rivals them all IMO as well. -

Pics of the Denim Crazy 9012 Bag, much more subtle but these Mizuno Framewalkers are just designed so well. -

Epon's New Product Release Schedule! 2014
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Less offset than the 702, More forgiving and improved dense feel to it. -
I currently use the Crazy Demin bag and love it, It's not all Tour like and flashy and yet I've never had so many compliments. Not sure if I would ever sell it but may become a back up bag to this new Miuzno framewalker 241 Co. collaboration bag. Not everyones cup of tea for sure but it's solid to me. Only issue with these bags is they Bleed in the rain! I hate that but hopefully Mizuno's doesn't.
