  1. I have a set or two in storage of the 999's. I forget what it's all about. Mine are dark ion style.
  2. These are not stock pics, I just took them in my soft box.
  3. Actually I know they have a small stock of blank heads that haven't been engraved yet. Let me ask him if he has any with no sight line.
  4. Introducing the 2013 TourStage X-BLADE 909 Limited Edition irons. These irons deserve their very own blog post not because they are rare & limited but because TourStage has done a fantastic job evolving their muscle back over the years making the 909 in my opinion their best effort yet. So how is it different than previous years? The biggest thing for me was it's feel & finish. TourStage has moved to the center a bit to please muscle back enthusiasts by providing us a softer feel at impact and a fully brushed satin finish. How's it look? I think it's beautiful with little to improve. From the clean and uncluttered pressed text on the back face to it's attractive shape from just about every angle TourStage seems to have finally figured out what TSG'ers are looking for in a muscle back. Of course this all takes back seat to how it actually performs and we are happy to report that these deliver. Several customers jumped on these early to ensure they receive a set. A few of these customers placed an order sight unseen and when their irons were delivered 100% of these lucky TSG'ers are ecstatic about well... just about everything. Feel is a big deal here If you've hit Limited X-Blades of past you know to expect feedback by design. What that means is anything hit off center you get a more harsh, firm, some say clicky feel. That ha changed by a good margin with these new 909 X-Blades. TS has softened these up while still maintaining great feedback. When it comes to setup, the 909 could be the sexiest of them all, what say you? It's not often a brand gets everything right and while I can literally pick out a ton of things to change with just about any iron in seconds this one has me stumped. It's near perfect. We took the 6 iron and PW out to the range for some testing and it was praise across the board. Better ball strikers loved these with a capital L! This time we let anyone give these a whack, watching a 20+ handicaper try to hit blades is not pretty and naturally the comments were negative in all areas, It's too small, feels harsh, can't get it in the air all sorts of problems. But once we moved toward the scratch even plus players it was as if they were in paradise. Comments like super easy to work, the most beautiful iron they have seen. When I asked about feel they all said not bad but when I told them that these are designed to give you accurate feedback about where you hit the ball on the face thats when the players got excited and began to notice how valuable that is and something we rarely find in other blades as this extreme. Every single digit player with good ball striking skills left saying wow so those are Japanese golf clubs... I don't know what else to say about these. Near Perfect sums it up for me as far as blades go. It's sole is slim, with a nice blunted leading edge. Trajectory is low/mid obviously much of that depends on the shaft. Finish is flawless, setup is near perfect, feel well I personally wouldnt mind a touch softer but the better players said that the feedback is one of the best and most unique things about this iron. These are limited irons guys and if you need a set it's time to contact one of our staff immediately. I believe within a week all will be gone. I will be posting up more info on the other new irons, wedges, woods, and drivers shortly as well.
  5. No customs but we can always expect a steady flow of new releases from him.
  6. I think we can get yours to ship ASAP if u order now. I'm going to get extra to help hold us over between batches.
  7. Not sure how you could come to that conclusion. These two irons could never share the same mold.
  8. what shafts did you install? I have the 909's right here but in S200 I'm thinking about putting the Recoil 95 in it or sell it as is after we shoot the review. I hit some balls with it and your absolutely right, TS did soften these up quite a bit.
  9. These irons are bad ass. This and the ONOFF forged are my 2 favorite full sized CB's. ONOFF 13 has C-Tapers installed 3D mono has soft stepped recoil 110S installed. I give the edge to the ONOFF in setup Feel is a tie, both different but still so good confidence at address I go with 3D mono accuracy is a tie distance is a tie too close to call. when you hit the 3D mono on the screws it feels like the ball is really soft and compressed.
  10. We had a customer who couldn't wait and ordered a V from some online site without reading this topic that the V & G are having production issues which is the reason for the delay. He contacted the site he bought it from and tried to get a refund with no luck then came to TSG for help. We Contacted Ryoma and all the V & G's floating around should have been trashed for some sort of issue at the factory but some were stolen. Be careful what you buy and from where gents.
  11. Demo set has been sold. The MC is out of stock at TourStage next batch end of April. 909 blade is sold out. 909 driver is only available in 8.5* now
  12. GT-7 was a little heavy for me, In stock form this club seemed pretty heavy. It was coming in at D3 45" so I pulled it and slapped in a DI-6 which helped make the combo more user friendly in the later holes. It feels great at impact! It's got noticeably less spin than most 450cc drivers around. I'm planned to sell this Demo but may have to keep it.
  13. It's smaller than the vokey forged and epon wedges. Offset you can see for yourself below. These are not geared to mid/high handicappers at all with it's high CG and trailing edge grind. The higher lofts have next to no offset while the lower lofts have a touch but we have the FP #'s its nothing out of the ordinary for a players wedge. BTW.... all standard orders ship today from Japan!
  14. Yea! Hiroyuki Fujita's bag! These irons look amazing. I don't see Yamaha making a masters specific iron set and this isn't the first time we've seen Fujita playing a prototype. I'd love to see it released
  15. Japan doesn't nearly have it's fill yet. Our fingers are crossed they all stock configured wedges go out this week.
  16. Yes we know exactly what it's about, SYD doesn't have enough to meet demand in Japan let alone other countries. Literally you guys knew about the BOLD before the Japanese media did. We were cleared for a ship date and to begin pre sales then told there's a supply issue... We're here for whatever you guys want to do wait, cancel or switch.
  17. It was a bit premature. We would rather be 100% certain than get your hopes up again. There is a chance they go out this week but its not guarantee and also custom spec orders will lag a week or two after. It's been green light, red light for us, we're really sorry about this major delay.
  18. +1 tired of waiting... Just jumped to the GTSW Pro and not looking back, Forgot how well Takei does wedges
  19. +1 I've been playing a good amount of golf lately and I'm just up in the air when it comes to drivers. Ryoma D1 is back! 388 slides in every few rounds always with great results, George Spirits GT450 is my current gamer and I've got the new 455 mono & X-Drive 709 all gunning for the same spot in my bag. No single driver is leaps and bounds better than the others. The closest that comes to mind is the Ryoma for its forgiveness and 388 for it's flight and feel. I don't recall a better year than 2013 for JDM drivers.
  20. Yes! It's compact, It feels freaken fantastic, spins proper and is difficult to find fault with. Top edge for me was fine I would like it if the head were just a hair bigger. Not vokey forged sized, smaller and somewhere in between. I guess Toyoshima sized would be perfect. They are also producing more clubs using S15C like the Quelot Neo blade and the new LTD Forged CB forged in Japan. I want more members to try this wedge so for the next 2 days $89.00 + shipping to anyone with more than 100 posts. Just email [email protected] btw have we ever told you guys about TADO-san Geotech's lead designer? He's pretty amazing especially when you look at Geotech's drivers and how well they perform for the price.
  21. VERY nice, does he have a more matte version of his matte black? In the pics the paint looks thick. You kindly introduced me to him I should contact him as I've got a bunch of drivers that could be spruced up. I assume his background in is automotive air brushing?
  22. My take, Gotta keep the offset where it's at, a lot of people especially on the web desire less and less offset but for the sake of performance and especially with this particular iron it must stay. Notice the Personals & the Tours have more offset than your average blade and it's for a very good reason. - $1500 MSRP w/ standard Modus 3 shaft 3-PW - Same exact face milling as SYD Bold wedge or ONOFF Forged - Brushed Satin with Chrome edge around back face - top line grind a little bitty more boxy. - slightly more offset in 3 & 4 irons + tungsten sole yet somehow maintaining the highest CG possible. - available AW + SW matching wedges that are compact with near 0 offset. - Higher CG overall for a lower flight - Evolve the logo just a touch - slightly thinner sole with leading edge relief - cavity accent pressed lines like Callaway X- Forged or TourStage + dark chrome accents within the back face somewhere if it can look classy.
  23. In march at a Baldo meeting they showed us a prototype 460cc VT511. Naturally the smaller head is more attractive. Also coming is a new driving iron and forged wedge we will post pics of soon.
