IMO the 208KGX wedges are the best made and designed wedges ever. Set up to them softly with one hand and see where the first score line points to compared to other wedges. Its such a perfectly balanced and designed wedge that bending it anything more than 1* up or down effects the heel performance for the negative with out a grind adjustment. Besides the style of the grind there are many things that the normal golfer doesn't realize about wedges. How they should sit, where the leading score line should face and in what position and not to mention what to look for in the neck area that determines the quality of how the wedge went through the cooling process.

We have been finding many defects in Roddio shafts of recently. This has been brought to the attention of Daiwa, As of now I do not suggest them to anyone unless they acknowledge these problems and fix them. At this moment they deny they exist.
-
Tiger's clubs are made in Japan except for his putter, They are nothing like the retail versions in the states. And no his irons and wedges are not Miura forged like his old Titleist Irons were.

We do have Sky Dream Jump wedges, and have had access from about 2 years ago. You are the first to inquire actually. Just PM me if you would like them.

Hi Randy, 12* is also an option but being as you play a 9.5 XD the 10.5 seems to be the safer bet. For this club the standard shaft is a big hit, I suggest that route first and if that doesn't work out for you the MD5 or MD6 by Tour AD is a shaft that is highly suggested for this head. If its no good, you may notice it induces a fade, If its a match you will get a nice mid/high trajectory straight shot. Also custom face angle & length is a big plus. You will get a long distance, very forgiving straight shooting club with the EMB.

Rumor has it that there is one in the works but thats all the info i hear. You may want to consider the the Yamaha Forged CB's and also the Epon AF701.
-
That is pretty interesting as Daiwa say's its logo up and down. I have been finding a somel manufacturing variations between their shafts which is not a good thing. Main thing is it performs for you, If it doesn't please PM me so we can work this out.

You got that right some people claim almost 20-40 yards vs the last model Epon driver. Choice magazine gives Epon's drivers top ranking over every OEM U.S or JDM in their testings as does rating gate. They both rate them #1 and Epon didnt ask, pay or submit a demo for their review. I actually suggest the Tour AD MD shaft and the Stock Shaft. The stock shaft is the perfect match for this EMB head and its also less expensive.

Yes you can but I don't suggest this as the finish is not the most durable. Black Teflon is a better idea.

Its a Gun Blue finish that comes out black and a bit glossy.

Yamaha Tour Limited Forged Irons w/PICS!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yes sir I am sorry. Will try to find more but I doubt it. -
If your really into high end Japanese golf clubs I would stay away from these. YO1 is not a new company, it is based out of Korea their product is considered sub standard, Believe it or not Zodia barely makes their own golf clubs. The advert on the YO1 website says they are hand ground by Mr. Chiba, that my friend is false. These are catalog heads. I used to buy the same heads 4 years ago for a fraction of what they charge now. Tolerance and head weights are poor at best also. These guys are charging 1300, Geotech charged 600 for 3-PW + 2 wedges. You guys don't even want to know how much these heads are sold for in Lapacho golf catalog. A good rule of thumb is when you see a dozen brands with the same model head its not a good buy. Last year two of their staff came onto TSG basically pumping up the brand in the forums, its the same guy who is on WRX trying to sell the product now. Both were banned. The one thing they didn't expect is that we really know our JDM gear and where and how its made.

Yamaha Tour Limited Forged Irons w/PICS!

Thats what I was thinking when I first saw them, short heel to toe like the MR23's with about the same amount of offset. I must get a round in with these before I go. -
Yamaha Tour Limited Forged Irons w/PICS!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
One of the best looking irons I have seen. Endo doesn't produce many sets with this little offset so its a pure pleasure to see this. nice and short heel to toe yet when i do the nail tap test they feel like they are gonna be soft. I have not hit them yet as I am short on I-10's gotta get more but I don't think I will in time before leaving to Tokyo. I would have sold these but they look to darn good and they are too rare to give up. These irons, the Yururi Prototype blade, and the Miura MB5003's are my top choices right now. Gonna give each of them some course time tomorrow I hope. -
TSG was able to get its hands on 4 of 700 of the sets made of the Yamaha Tour Limited Forged Irons. Of the posters on this board only myself and BogeyDog have them. PW #7 Iron

Yamaha 2008 Inpres X V Forged and Tour Limited
TourSpecGolfer replied to bogeydog's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Thats It! I'm keeping the last set! The shape of the face and the top line view sold me. Soon they will be married to some I-10's. Thank you for posting the pics B! Someone asked the difference between the Srixon 701's vs These, and I always mention to everyone that no two Endo irons feel alike. Endo has a huge selection of materials, options and manufacturing methods all with different costs associated. Most golfers can understand this by hitting a bunch of them side by side. Feel depends on many different things and there are endless variables. -

Let's Compare the New AF101 with the 460ZR w/PICS!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
When I hit both side by side here are a few things i noticed: - The AF101 is about 5 yards longer. - The AF101 has the same awesome feel but you must hit it on the screws to get it while the 460 ZR has the metallic sponge feel in a bigger radius around the sweet spot. - The AF101 has a smaller and more pleasing appearance from above. - forgiveness is about the same with a slight edge to the AF101. - The 460 ZR inspires more confidence based on its larger look. -

Hey Bret, When is your web site coming out? My game suffers without your lessons man. I can attest to what this man says, it has transformed my game making me more consistent and much longer. Let me share a little background about B.Smith and I. When I used to live in Norcal about 5 months ago I took lessons from Bret Smith but he only took me as a student if I truly devoted myself to the game of golf and the 3 T's Technique, Training, and Technology. He is not the band aid sorta sensei like so many I have taken lessons from in the past. Bret put me on his hardcore and serious tour platform and beat the S*** out of me day in and day out. It was 3-4 days a week, each lesson ran about 3 hours long and most of the time on course. He took my swing apart and much to my surprise in several lessons had put it back together and stronger then ever. The back of my neck turned black, I ached for days and after the lesson hit the Gym for golf specific training and stretching. From working the coil, to having the proper depth and posture everything he had taught me was for a specific reason and goal. Another big aspect of what he taught me was Tactic's, On many Par 4's I was hitting driver like a num nutz, he showed me nothing was wrong with a 5 wood and after looking at the numbers he was so very right. I started learning about my personal distances and so importantly conversion tables and my scoring zone. So Many golfers would rather smoke a drive and have 60 yards to the pin or so than hit a FW wood or Iron to get to the optimal zone giving you the best chances of sticking it by using your most comfortable distance and shot. Its been 5 months since I have had a lesson with Bret due to the move, Not a round goes by where I don't think about what he has taught me or when the next lesson will be. He is Golf's best kept secret and a total genius of the swing. I would rank Bret Smith up there with instructors like Ballard, Harmon, and the greatest of all time Ben Hogan. Kudo's to ya Bret! Can't wait till the launch of your web site!

Yup the grind pre finish of the prototypes has more rounded edges, less offset, and a thinner top line. -

Actually Raw wedges are the softest, when I say raw I mean no plating, they are also the least durable. Again here is a good example of how shaft and specs effect feel. Any club will not be as soft if: 1. The lie angle is not correct for you 2. The shaft doest suite your swing 3. You are not making pure contact with the ball In my experience the RAW wedges are almost too soft and that is why i prefer plated.
