  1. Do tell I haven't heard about that. Should be ok as these are on the list, usga took the photos and checked the CT's signing off on them I assume. I've hit every current PRGR club just about. RS is awesome club, still a bit player but i found it easier to hit a fade than the red series and super egg. lower launching compared to them. I really liked the Red 9.5S and put a AAA pull I had in it, I play wet weather a lot now and this build had awesome carry and played dead straight reminding me of those pings that are point and shoot. RS-F was a fade machine for me I didn't give it too much time. but for the aggressive hooker this thing would help. My buddy just hooks balls and swings about 110 plays X and with the RS-F had tight tight draws using the stock shaft. PRGR Super Egg non conforming is one of my favorites, I want to put a better shaft on one in the future.
  2. What wedge design would help your short game the most is the question. What are you looking for in a wedge specifically grind, bounce, lofts, and build? Your Swing + Turf Conditions Materials and who made it Branding & looks imo the K-grind performs great all around especially those the grind fits, but it's ugly. The 213 has poor reviews, I didn't like it but it looks modern and cool. The Miura is handmade using Himeji materials while the Epon is mass produced outside of Japan. Feel is subjective based on build and where/how you make contact. Right now there are so many amazing wedges to consider and for good reason, try expanding your search a little. - https://www.tourspecgolf.com/japanese-golf-clubs/wedges.html
  3. I guess I never knew these were counterbalanced shafts or considered that. The Fuji techs in Japan we talk to haven't mentioned anything about counterbalancing to us. any additional info on this? I'm trying to figure out what makes these counterbalanced and how many grams etc..
  4. Most brands are not marketing if their shafts are counterbalance but many in Japan use an extra material to stiffen the butt section depending on the profile of that model. Do you guys find anything noticeable with counter balanced wood shafts? There are many ways to counterbalance a club at the club-makers or manufacturing level.
  5. I have not tried it. I've seen it. I go to Jbeam every year they have an awesome HQ with many unseen protos. Just and FYI fellas Jbeam offers Reem'd hosels if you want super janked specs for your woods. 3* flat and 3* open has been a popular one lately. ( warning: ferrule will sit ugly ) Another thing our Jbeam supporting members have been doing is sending them in for a face shave/re-groove/refinish to an exact COR. Your going to hear me talking more and more about this but it's a really cool thing TSG is offering. - We can shave the face to an exact COR ( voids warranty of course! ) - We can shave the face making it optimal to your swing speed for durability - add laser milling lines on the face - add various groove patterns on the face - shave the face of fairway woods - custom laser engrave designs on the face We can even bring your conforming driver to the very edge of conforming. Shaving the face of the ZY series is a good idea for anyone who swings around 85-95mph.
  6. http://muziik-golf.com/japan/puttershaft.html Its in stock and on the website. I just asked the owner.
  7. Full run down in the blog here - http://blog.tourspecgolf.com/ I only hit 7 irons in steel and carbon but they are awesome. Turf condition was wet but I have a feeling this sole would work well in firmer. 2 piece head, soft stainless body, thin ti face, vibe absorb material and tungsten alloy in sole. That's it in a nutshell please enjoy!
  8. Crazy Boron is a classic, wish I had some new. I've seen cool color limiteds but all mine were red/white. I used to play it in my SYD 388 and XV along with a bunch of other drivers.
  9. Here is the official page - http://onoff.globeride.co.jp/labo/labo-spec-shaft/index.html This year they have new and unique aesthetics although many of the shafts are identical to the previous versions. Hashiri is the softest and lightest with shinari and tataki as players models. If you hook bad go Shinari and if your aggressive with a slice consider a Tataki. Smooth slower swingers have a look at the Hashiri.
  10. Thanks Nobs, What is interesting is that the 3 month checkups showed all clear via CT scan. It's only when a breathing issue had them do an MRI which found many small growths that the CT could not pick up. I was told even if it does not show in MRI it can still be microscopic and spread. I'm glad to hear about your wife and hope she continues to do well.
  11. I wish I could say that were the case but nope that is a price error in our store as we fix known issues. 2400/1800
  12. They have the R5L and W which are swing specific wedges and now the t7 which is the versatile model, reminds me of a very soft Vokey. enjoy the pics:
  13. Yes Club-X was a popular iron back in the day That old school Bridgestone connection. Not the easiest to hit if I recall correctly?
  14. Here's another one. Ako-san's main expertise is in designing fairway and utility clubs including hybrids and driving irons. He is the man who designed all the best sonartec/royal collection clubs during their hay day. The A-Grind wedges are also something special. Ako-san a man who drives from JPGA event to event arguably produces the best shaped fairway clubs ever. In a nutshell your looking at the proto hybrid with a widersole and more shallow face. It's not for the high handicap either. I'm moving to these for now. STP shafts will be the ticket of course.
  15. Thanks to everyone's support. It's unreal to see how many people cancer has taken someone from.
  16. Mizuno Japan MP-66 Yoro Craft Irons - Sorry for the delay on these guys I know many of you have been waiting patiently. This is the first of 2 sets I will post of MP-66 irons modified by Mizunos very own Yoro dept. I had the team at Yoro reduce the offset, thin the topline, straighten the top line, adjust the face shape, change the stamping config and add a custom finish and MCI Black shafts. In hand they are stunning. I'd love to hit these but with I plan to sell both sets. Full rundown is in the blog - http://www.tourspecgolf.com/blog/mizuno-mp-66-yoro-craft-irons/
  17. To me this driver flies slightly lower than most and has less spin than most. It is louder but soft and spongy not firm. It's a good spin reducer and has more roll than most.
  18. All but 2 prizes will be shipping in the next several days.
  19. Recoils do feel better than steelfibers but based on feedback they are not as accurate. It's kind of like Mitsubishi OT vs MCI, the Fuji is tighter while the mitsu feels better and launches higher. Shafts play a big roll in feel.
  20. Sorry for the strange subject of this post but I felt it was necessary to give you guys an update to as why I've been distant from the forum for the past two months. It's been a wild ride in 2016... The plan was to live abroad for a year while our new place was under construction. I started the year working my tail off in Japan for three months the result of that work is on the horizon. (3 amazing brands coming! )... We Found out baby #2 was on the way I couldn't ask for more. Then for all our hard work we would take a break and spend the next three months in Europe, then Hawaii after. Work was pumping along fine lots of new exciting products and projects in the works, and then my father's health took a turn for the worse. He had already beat kidney cancer once a few years ago but one day a dry cough had them go beyond a CT and use an MRI which found stage 4 cancer had spread. Given a few months to live with no treatment or the possibility of a year or two he had decided to fight it. The treatment he was given hit him hard with a side effect that only happens to less than 1% of those who use the drug. The treatment almost killed him faster than cancer did and he spent a lot of time in the ICU which was where I was handling many of the emails from for some time. Construction of my home was recently completed, and I moved my mini zoo, wife, and child across the country last month. We are in the process of moving my folks nearby as well so that I can take care of them. My dad is stable now and about to start immunotherapy in a few days. With a young child and another on the way we pray now is not his time. My father is the man who introduced me to the game of golf and this crazy game of life. I've played more rounds with him than anyone else and would give anything just to have one more round with him. That is why the forum has lacked content lately. I'm sorry about that. Good news is that I'm back and what's coming and leading us into the new year and beyond is our biggest projects to date. Watch and see what's coming next!

  22. I used to play only 120g steel shafts then I moved to 100 even 85g carbon shafts ( STP ) and noticed it's better on my joints, I can get better distance and feel, and dispersion can be as tight or even tighter than steel shafts. High end carbon has really come a long way, it's just about finding the right shaft. If you can get along with 95-100g with your stature and strength it makes me more confident in suggesting 100g carbon shafts to faster swingers.
  23. There is a multiple winning PGA Tour player who is about to receive their CBC's and T55 wedges. Needless to say Suda-san is excited and hope the player likes them.
