  1. I have never owned the 5001's but have hit them before yet never had the chance to compare side by side with the MR-23. If memory serves my right, I think MR-23s are smaller, more angley, better feeling, more accurate, more compact head. The best part is the feel of the perfect struck ball. If you can handle the 23's they could be one of the best, just ask S.A and Maru.
  2. Here is a weird tip that helped me with that, Draw an Imaginary green line below your shin and try not to dip below it. It has helped me also when I used to hit it thin, I would imagine the green line...
  3. :wah: I want these now they look prettier than my current set!
  4. OK these should be hitting peoples doors around now and I know a few of you have had a couple rounds with the new re designed FST+, so what cha think? I think it could be overall the best and most well built Fairway wood for a better player ever made. Cant imagine a better shape, head weight, color and look, not to mention the performance of this thing. Its deeper than the old FST and has a less drag through the rough because the sole was made more narrow similar to the 980F & MR23 but bigger. it has a sound and feel that I wish every Tourstage driver had. The face is stated 1 degree open but looks square, I think this is the only open faced stock FW out. It also only comes in SR, S, & X flex TXD-65 shaft. Now can someone clear this up for me and tell me what graphite design shaft the TXD-65 is???? :-D was it the YS 6.?. all I know is its a very good shaft as far as stock goes. I give very high praise to this club because when I do hit it perfect it does feel better than everything else. The FST+ is geared toward low handicap players even more so this year than the previous model from the - loft - face angle - shaft & full cord grip...pretty hardcore as far as stock clubs go. :nos**t: . Wonder how it will stack up against the GAF1 :D w/ HK80's I got coming next week
  5. What exactly is balance certified and who does it? how much? Can you break it down and tell us exactly what they do to it?
  6. Sorry to hear that, Most of my misses are to the left with all neo mallets, many neo mallets sit square but people have a tendency to pull putts because they get handsy, your problem is the opposite, you probably have a very sound putting stroke and the open face is actually working the wrong way for you. I don't know, if its bad for the eye/brain its no good for you. we are each different animals.
  7. I dont know whats "Japan Only" and whats not. My best guess is that its all Japan only. I can get them all any time your ready, but want everyone to remember shipping prices on bags. :money: 6kg=100.00.
  8. No clue gentlemen :-D It better be good or what a waste of a great chance.
  9. I still play my eldik, switch back and fourth between it and my anser putters. The model that the Godfather bought was the 370g head w/ red Ion grip, his was one of 3 custom order eldiks. Mine is 370g with a ton of lead tape, same effect I just wish I waited for the custom one. Eldik sales have died down a bit recently but id like to know what you other eldik users think about the performance over the last several months. BTW, Eldik stands for Elephant d**k! :nos**t:
  10. Its very easy to call them and ask for an English speaking representative.
  11. U.S or Japan wont make a difference, they are not made in Japan, the key would to be find a shaft, head weight, grip, and length/Lie that give you the feel you want most. What do you want? a heavy head feel, a counter balance feel? I like heavy head weak shaft feel because it gives me the ability to get more feedback where the head and shaft is during the swing. NS pro 850s are great in wedges
  12. You will all have to wait till the release in October. Sowwy!
  13. Mine doesn't really have a ting sound. It's more of a little crunch sound. It's fairly muted and not loud and it's pretty solid sounding. My R7 lost its crunch many months ago ??? I have no clue why :-D HMM! Cracked Face? :surprize: So you guys still feel the crunch? I still hit it good but I will take a closer look. Thanks guys.

  15. Good news is the GAF1 Fairway wood heads just arrived today. I ordered a stash of Tourspec HK80 Stiff flex to fit in them. I will be doing a full comparison review GD w/HK80 vs FST+.
  16. I think he meant 200-300 LESS than the average price of Japanes drivers. So that would make it $400-500. Right Chris? Yes about 500 :wah:
  17. Many of us know SYB and Fourteen share the same product with a different stamping. The Fourteen 371 proto now has its twin with a slightly different twist on it. 380cc only - available in 10.5 degrees - 1 degree open face angle. :-D I have no clue why they didn't make it square :o The shaft options are great, W60, W70, I-65 Fuji Tourspecs etc and its at a barg shipped at 200 - 300 less than your average Japanese Driver which is super duper expensive..lol I haven't hit it yet but am curious as to how it performs.
