  1. Miura Japan buys it from Himeji, that I'm sure of.
  2. Chris, thanks for the thread. Titleist is Endo forged? WOW! That I did not know. :titleistjp: Oh, and btw, those new Mizuno Black MP wedges look awesome! Do you have an idea of what the price point will be when they hit the market? :mizuno: Thanks! As it says in the thread a lot of what we know about where stuff is forged could not be 100% accurate. I may be wrong. The Mizuno wedges are out in September, I can also custom order them in flat black with all that M stamp label stuff to. How about a T series wedge in flat black and silver paint fill.
  3. Last time I asked Mizuno Japan thats what they said  I think 5 years ago they moved their production line near the border of Cambodia and until only the last 2 years QC has gotten back up to par. I just dropped them an E-mail but I'm almost positive the answer will be the same.
  4. Cant go wrong with the 2004 Maru wedges, the are some of the best TS has ever made, Tourstage makes great wedges I suggest you get the marus and have them reshafted and put to your specs, they come stock light but as soon as you change that, there could almost be nothing better.
  5. I don't know I have never hit these Irons, the wedges I tried were last model 515s and they were soft, well built, grinds made forgiving similar to MP wedges in a way. They are probably expensive because the steel could be just a tad more in cost, The product line is very small & interesting, overall its very expensive and i would take Hiro M's any day of the week for that price. They are expensive because MR. Ishihara has a name for himself doing tour players wedges for many years and for him to hand grind and build your personal set is kind of a thrill. Same feel you get when Joe Kwok does your clubs :niceshot:
  6. I am bummed that there is no Tourstage Driver for our niche, We need to tell them we want a square face, conforming, 400cc bomb dropping foam headed driver. :wah: How about a J400 that would be nice, I guess we will have to wait for the 05 Maru's. I pray for Cb's
  7. Hmmm... my dream set would be: Driver: Srixon W404 w/W60 TIP9 FW: 14* GAF1 w/HK-80 DI: 19* Taylormade TP w/S300 Irons: Hiro Matsumoto MI-02 satin w/PX 6.0 -half inch longer, strong lofts, & Iomic blue grips Wedges: MOZ TW handmades w/NS 850's Putter: G-Field " AUTOMATIC " Bag: Maru 04 Limited
  8. Chris, are you serious? I thought Mizuno Japan = Made In Japan, not Cambodia, Bangladesh, or something! I thought only TM Japan was out-sourcing their forgings to China and surrounding countries. Hummm, so all custom orders from Mizuno Japan really means another country from the Asian continent - even the forgings that create Tiger's irons? I guess their Grain Flow process could create some consistency whether the fires are in Japan or Bangladesh. Almost every brand is made in asia, Im not sure 100% but maybe together we can figure this stuff out, I will make a thread and if everyone contributes perhaps we can accurately place where all the forgerys are at. ok here it is... http://www.tourspecgolf.com/modules.php?na...c&p=54269#54269
  9. retail is 2500.00 so i guess my price would be about 2200.00.
  10. The new stuff is the 405 driver ( built for slow swingers ) the new FW's also built for slow swingers and some womens stuff, they are almost due for a few more iron sets, the Duo 370cc 9* Square face is still going strong on the J-tour and I have also seen some that say CFM for conforming model.
  11. I don't know if the 14's have a copper underlay or not but i would suggest Iron head covers for a set of custom mizzy's, I have had mine for a couple months and not a single ding due to the head covers, I also have a set of U.S retail MP30's which i didn't use head covers and they are all dinged up. It all depends on how you take care of your stuff and usually the with the hefty price of Japanese Irons people tend to baby them. Another issue is several years ago, mizuno moved their plant to Cambodia or Bangladesh or somthing and had to train an entire new staff of foreign workers, I have heard from many that in the last 2 years mizuno has really been back to up to par or even birdie for that matter.
  12. D0 with the 50g stock shaft that isn't in stock yet, I will only order these with high end Fuji's or Gd's for the TSG'rs, i have hit the proto graphite design by gauge and its too light and ball goes high so I'm not going to even sell the GAF1 with that shaft.
  13. Your right I dont have EI curves, wait I dont even know what they are :-D What are they?
  14. I forgot to mention that all the heads are ALL .5 open face. They are built for the JPGA Tour players as its #1 user. http://www.gaugedesign.co.jp/Products/Prd_FW.html
  15. Hey Bushkin, Just for you I will be selling them on Special in this thread brand new for 169.00 shipped. Can you beat that price?
  16. I don't know the differences between the old 515 wedge, MOZ is the most expensive brand next to the stuff like honma, access and majesty. Wedges 250 - 350 Irons 2200.00 +. No custom grinds etc. Most quality Japan forged heads are made in Himeji. Ishihara is buying them from Himeji and Scratch is getting them from someone who knows Ishihara personally, Thats 2 to many people in the operation, i hope scratch can get rid of the middlemen soon.
  17. what price you selling them at Bushkin?
  18. Where did you hear this rumor, can you confirm its source? Lets get down to the nitty gritty, PRGR is registered in the U.S, Pro Gear is what is now known as PRGR in Japan and owned by Yokohama Tire company. Some companies are saying they will take a crack at the U.S, I personally don't think PRGR will be making a run at it soon. I will give them a ring but doubt on any knowledge of that subject, Perhaps your source is dreaming or speculating.
  19. I think the first one looks very similar to the MP-27s.

  21. MOZ Ishihara is a very small and famous company in Japan known for making Tour wedges actually #2 last week with 12 in play. Mr. Ishihara is a famous hand grinder who is expanding into making putters and irons. I just got the account if anyone is interested, their selling point is the 1018 soft carbon steel. Mr. Ishihara is the only person who does the grinds for this brand so the price is at a premium. Here are some pics of their new products, look forward to them soon in your TSG catalog site. MOZ 2030Cb Irons MOZ PROTO 0820 MOZ Blades MOZ 2020 Irons MOZ TW306 Type N Type M
  22. Smaller heel to toe, lower trajectory made to do battle with the X-Cb's.
