  1. Juan, get out and hit those things! They are hands down performing Irons very long and sweet feeling! You have some insane clubs there, how can you handle not hitting them for so long? I play in the rain just to hit new clubs :)
  2. Zodia U.S Spec? I have heard some carry the Zodia Line in the U.S for ridiculous prices, I'm talking more than Japan costs. IMHO zodias are great wedges but for a raw finish semi mass produced head, charging 240.00 retail is insane, A zodia wedge for what it is should cost 150 - 175.00. Miura wedges are good though Himeji forged old style designs, I suggest the Miuraism line if anyone wants to go the miura route the designs are slightly more new age yet have the ugliest stampings. There is a ton of dusty U.S miura stock that needs a home from what I hear and prices although low already may be hitting close out soon. My vote for ultimate wedge would be a Custom Mizuno Mp series w/ NS Pro 850 shaft at D3-D4 w/ Square grooves. 2nd place the Tourstage X-wedge Black or Satin. If you enjoy small heads, The gauge GAS1 SG, and also the Fourteen low bounce works very well. Paul do you have the URL to the U.S zodia site?
  3. Juan, are you a collector ? If not I suggest putting you favorite shaft in both of them. The maru wedges are a hit on the JPGA with non Tourstage Players having them in the bag also. The X-wedge is the same deal many many players even TM sponsored players are using them. Everyone I talked to with the marus think they are the best ever, I play X-Wedges and think they are more forgiving. both are low bounce but the marus play light with X100s.
  4. FST+ Deep face very long 14* I suggest the SR flex TXD-65 stock has a nice kick.
  5. TS girl is playing the FHT+ and swears its an absolute gem that I should reshaft and play full time. I have been more concerned with testing out the ST+, It seems the new ST+ is easier to hit from the fairway, rough or bad lies compared to the ol FST. 13.5 vs 14.0 degrees loft didnt quite make a difference, the distance was the same. I have an M85 in the FST and the stock TXD 65 in the ST+, I really like the stock shaft. In regards to the GD FW, I honestly think that the ST+, GD, & BBD type H are very similar in both looks and performance and it just boils down to square GD, open face ST+, or closed - square BBD as well as the feel off the face. I have a GD but its not the production model, there are slight differences between my early copy and the retail or tour versions which really effect feel and performance. I will know august 20th when they are released. Great thing is I have some coming with Tourspec HK80 shafts. Today I will play an R flex HT+ for 9 holes to try to figure out what makes this club so expensive. I will post pics and talk about it later.
  6. Yes wait about 1-2 weeks when they are released and I will be able to get them for you
  7. Two rounds completed with my new FST+ fairway wood. Its 14* and features a deeper face, tungsten weighting, and more rounded sole. The stock TXD-65 shaft plays very stiff , this club is for the better hitter very similar to how the BBD type H was. With a stated 1 degree open face angle it still looks square as in the pic. I have noticed the same distance and higher ball flight over my old 13.5 FST. It is just looks more refined and also feels very hot off the face. This cannon is better than the last model in many ways and if you like the FST or the BBD im positive you will like this new one.
  8. I didnt think about that at all and today will try it with a heavy head. Thanks!
  9. Your bag was ordered way after these guys, don't worry good things come to people who wait..lol nah but seriously I do my best to get it to everyone as quick as possible and you just ordered it a week or two ago so your clear. Thats another thing for everyone who shops in the Catalog the policy states 3-6 weeks but some get there in 2 days, It depends on the product, season, size, etc etc.
  10. I have had retail R7s since march as well as extra weights so I pretty much know exactly what weight setup I wanted in my TP. I selected 2x2g weights on the toe end side and a 4 & 14g weight on the heel to promote a draw but keep the head weight as light as possible. I find the shaft stout for an untipped club. It is not like the 757 or other U.S TP shafts that play soft, IMO it plays strong. 72g 2.2 torque 45" Graphite Design I-65. Here are pics of my setup, If you own a R7 TP please share your setup with us and why you selected your weight positions.
  11. Just for you guys I will run them for sale in B/S/T this week.
  12. The Teflon does put a muted feel at impact but its something I like 100%. The finish is flawless smooth black every where and these are special orders taking about 3-4 weeks. good news is any shaft installed.
  13. Oh my would a 360cc - 380cc R5 Dual be nice
  14. I assume its coming to the U.S, Japan has to many exclusive product by TM as it is. I think the R5 dual is a great idea because 2 plugs just seem more ergonomic, perhaps it will lead to the R5XD Dual or R5 Quad or Dual TP etc. I'm curious if the R7 style weights will work in the R5 Duals head. The retail price in Japan is CHEAP!! 58,000yen compared to the R7 TP at 114,000yen. Its coming out Mid - Late September and I got a bunch on order so we will see.
  15. With only 2 weight ports, there are different models to choose from they come pre set at draw or fade, the face isn't as deep as the R7 and the weights could be 1g 8g or 2g on the side of the model selected. R5 Adjustable FW's are coming out too! The R7 TP Japan version just came out today and they leak this info to the reps...lol It makes sense to only have two plugs, Im sure this driver will kick butt also, there is also a new series of XR03/05/07 TM drivers for Japan. Good news its all coming out this month :-D :wah:
  16. Hard Core! Thats right some of the heads of the Gauge Japan putters and Irons have a Teflon coating, same durable material as whats coated on pots and pans to withstand heat, I have played about a dozen rounds with my blacks and the finish is almost perfect. hitting big iron shots out of fairway bunkers is what has show tiny wear on the sole but other than that this finish has some major durability.
  17. Hey hey, Welcome to TSG! I think the NS pro 950 is a great shaft for your swing speed. You could probably handle a Stiff flex at 91 or a Reg because you are in the middle. The NS pro flex's play sorta soft also. I play 850s in my wedges and 1050's in my Irons every NS pro Shaft I have tried works very well.
  18. Yes they are out now! I got my FST+ coming and TS girl has a FHT+ coming today. Will post a review with pics when it stops raining.
  19. I am playing the 01's and loving them  They are extremely easy to hit and the finish does wear but looks great when it wears down. I am a gun blue freak so mine will stay black forever. They feel extremely soft and well made. I am very fond of them.
  20. I have been in wedge nirvana recently extremely happy with my Custom Mizzys and now I have had two rounds with my Black 52* & 58* X-Wedge's. I have noticed that these wedges put loads of spin on a ball yet don't shred them like the marus did. The finish is definitely different more glossy than flat. I have had great success with these wedges so far and they are in the bag for sure. The Satin version retail spec will be out late in September.

  22. I don't only play Import equipment, I play whatever works best for me. I like Japanese equipment especially the ones made and assembled entirely in Japan. The Steel is at a higher quality, the forgery does better more precise work, The people grinding the heads have been doing it for a life time, the head weights, exact loft, lie, date made are labeled on every head before it is assembled. Less is made at a high quality level where only 150 sets of Irons can be made in a month by one man instead of 4000 - 10,000 sets a month mass produced. Do I still have China made clubs in the bag? Yes ( R7 TP, TM Driving Irons ) nothing is wrong with clubs made in China or the U.S, The amount of Japanese golfers compared to the U.S is very small yet they buy hundreds of millions more a year in golf equipment than the rest of the world. These Ho's have evolved to Freaks, everyone here is obsessed with clubs.
