hey don't forget to throw the I404's in the mix. All your picks are great  Depends what you want forgiveness? thin top line? Feel?

Ahh yes mute stuff rules!! I'm playing a 380cc Bridgestone proto and its the mutest thing I ever hit. The 2nd would be the MR-23 Driver and other Tourstage early offerings I could only imagine what wonders J.K would do on the R7  Joe please tell us about the foam process and how many pulls it can handle before hearing a little rattle. hey BTW has anyone hit the R7 with all the weights removed?

I know this is a sin to talk about GD US in here...
TourSpecGolfer replied to xxio's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Personally I wouldn't buy it, When I was with Dave I would sell brand new GAA3's for 100.00 bucks each+ free hat to the small golf shops in Japan, as a dealer of course. If its new 150.00 is a good price, used 9/10 125.00. On the other hand if you buy one, then get the Japanese version you will see what we are all talking about. I am trying my best to mediate the situation between U.S and Japan, both sides are stubborn both sides have different angles on the truth. -
For a top quality embroidered logo & name on the bag its an extra 120.00 which i doubt anyone will pay for on top of Japan shipping costs. Clothing is a different story look for some quality saipan or italy made gear mid 2005. Gauge Japan is not really a sponser, they dont pay monthly, I play a lot of the stuff they sell and I sell a lot of the equipment they have but other than that not a soul from their side comes on TSG or even knows we have a forum..lol When TSG was first launched it was called the " Tourstage site " :-D now we are the Gauge Japan site and in the next month we may be considered the Hiro Matsumoto or Custom Mizuno site. Its just happens to be that way, it keeps the haters confused

What is the differences in feel/sound in regards to the location of the slit and size or # of them?
-
Oh yes I have a couple T series wedges coming for myself, they are custom satin w NS 850's. I highly suggest NS 850's in wedges for feel players. The T-Series is one of the sweetest wedges I have ever tried. I assume the U.S and Japanese versions are the same except for finish and stampings but the Japan spec ones I have tried are insane. Very excited about them. I think all Japanese Irons should cost no more than 1375.00 but these days Hiro and MOZ are really shooting for a new group, the Boutique Player who in Japan would drive a Ferrari, son of a tycoon, golf all day etc etc...the metro-sexual in regards to golf equipment. :pot:

Post some good pics, I'm tempted, I love Srixon!

This ugly beast is going belly soon! But for really, it does work great, Baby bee with mill marks so its a tad softer, other than that I have no comparison for it. I always keep the Neo's around, Its my key to better putts with the anser.

303 teflon, alu, floating face and ingots to make it heavy is a combination I would like to try. Team it with a Fuji TS putter shaft and it would look great. I prefer a full floating face compared to one that goes into it. I perfer either a sight dot or topline line for alignment. What exactly is a full floating face compared to the one i have pictured? Drop me a PM if you have some insight, I will be ordering some fully tweaked custom GD ansers and am thinking about throwing everything at it.

Shaft for gauge Design's GAF1 fairway woods
TourSpecGolfer replied to jack0428's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Ive hit them with all kinds of shafts, The HK80 worked best for me then a close 2nd the TW84. I have also tried YS9's W70's and M85's all with positive results. If you like the BBD-H you will love this FW, feel is different but performance is better IMO. -
Way overpriced at 229.00 + shipping :surprize: :wah:
-
What do you guys think about the feel and sound of floating slit putters? The feel IMO is very metallic and hollow. This putter in the pic is my Custom Tour Zero the slit line gives it the metal hollow vibe but the Teflon mutes it a tad too, I am not selling my tour 150 just yet but I'm really interested in experimenting with the floaters from now on. Kinda curious how a ingot-floater-aluinser-insert-Teflon anser putter would feel  Whats your thoughts?

the 60 has only 6 degrees of bounce but the 58 has 12.
-
Rolls putts pretty good, almost exactly reminds me of the baby bee in terms of performance. Its got a soft feel due to its CNC milling marks, Pretty heavy, I'm not sure exactly but feels 350+ grams, I will have a full comparison against the eldik soon, So far I'm extremely impressed, The location of the shaft on the head is interesting, its behind the face, semi futura style. They are only 249.00 shipped and available in all the colors of the rainbow.
-
Its all about the feel and these baby's definitely have the perfect blend of soft and hard. I have a 56 degree 10 bounce wedge from Hiro Matsumoto and it has been going up and up against the best wedges I have ever owned the custom Mizzy's. The custom mizzy's are of a harder feel but that could be because they are satin vs Hiro's black finish. The head shape and profile would be considered very safe and conservative much like mizuno's grinds as well. The finish is absolutely amazing soft and not glaring at you, Its as durable as every other black finish, even more than the black tourstage is using. Its got a grind/bounce setup that I consider very user friendly.

Dont worry man, I didnt get much love from the Air Muscle myself :punch:

Want to create the ultimate high end combo set

Custom Satin MP-30's -
I always thought the COG is higher in the MP37's :-D The Srixon I-404's are supposed to be lower trajectory but I know your looking for blades.

Want to create the ultimate high end combo set
TourSpecGolfer replied to ziggy1's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
They are MP-27s and an a PW in MP33. The Gauges are only from Gauge Japan, release should be in January. -
Wow, that's saying a lot! I know you just had a set of the Hiro's too. Well i would vote for Hiro except they only have one style Irons. If they had a selection like mizuno did I would select hiro M. I am currently waiting for a new mizuno set of MP 27/33, no M stamp, just # in text like " 27 " and " 33 " pretty much blank. The Hiro's are the strongest part of my game right now its indeed much more forgiving than it looks.
-
I vote Mizuno! :mizuno:
-
Yeah, I think thats the old putter i built, Bettinardi 370g anser style TR-370. It was indeed a great combo, This is making me want to put fuji shafts in my current anser. I really liked distance control, the head was a tad heavy for the shaft, I think 350ish range is just perfect with the PT110.
-
TM TP is very Versatile, I use it off the tee, in the deep stuff, even bumping the ball on the green, on par 5's my favorite spot to be is in the trees on the right side, i choke up put the ball in the back of my stance and can shoot it low out of the trouble and get it to roll skip and hop almost 200 yds. The mizuno I have tried several times but do not own one yet, still waiting.. It is better feeling yet not as stupid easy to hit as the TP. The UX1 has what i consider to be the ideal leading edge.
-
I didn't like this driving Iron, it was not forgiving and sweet like the TP or Air Muscle. The T100 Utility from Nike Japan is amazing, Its between a FW and mid rescue. Very forgiving, wants to go straight. maybe jack can comment on them, he has the protos from Asia. The driving Irons i do recommend are the TM TP, Mizuno UX1, and the Tour Issue Fourteen Type1 ( which I cant get ).

new titleist irons... Titleist 695 MB Photo's anyone?
TourSpecGolfer replied to rt2566's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
No I think its the never released 690 CH driving Iron. Chris is right it's the 690CH's.. there is more then just a driving irons available, whataplayer has the full set...for a cool 5K plus 1 week before Japan release the CH was dumped. It was originally scheduled to release as a combo set. I would love to see nice pics of a new set. I saw it at the golf fair and it was large and awkward, it didn't get a good reception that day IMO. I still want a set though :)
