  1. Tourstage is known for a different type of driver, Foamed heads and a muted sound/feel is what i associate them with. What gets many of us is why they do not have a single square face driver in their line up. Its always 1 degree open or 1 degree closed. The only models that are conforming is the Pro Spec Series which only come in 9* -1 Open face & with stout stock shafts. To Tourstage Pro Spec means PRO SPEC. The TS woods are not easy for club builders also, They need to heat slowly and do some things different. Always tell your club builder its a foamed head and to apply low heat while taking their time. I have heard of nightmare stories where a novice club maker ruins a Bridgestone head. In the past year Tourstage hasn't really made any user friendly drivers. I am hoping this 365 is the what I'm looking for.
  2. Performs like a Cb, I havent hit these but last years version sure did. PRGR is owned by Yokohama Tire company all of the clubs are made in Japan. Its a Neo Blade for sure.
  3. There is actually no retail version, these are being marketed like the MR-23 line as limited edition. In fact there is no advertising for them at all. 44.5 & .5 open face S and X flex only is the norm.
  4. Coming January 2005 the new PRGR 900 Forged Irons.
  5. I'm paying retail price for my personal version but its coming from Pro support car at .5 closed & 44.25". The ones on ebay were all pre ordered at 44.5" .5 open. If you want to pay retail + my profit I can get anyone a pro support driver. The retail version with your choice of Shaft & length is 770.00 shipped. I am in the search for the perfect Tourstage Driver, I hope yet doubt this could be it.
  6. The X-Drive 2 is the X-Drive 365. They release on the 10th of November and it takes 2 weeks before shipping because they are made per order custom shaft lengths.
  7. A couple people I know acquired these from U.S Tourstage Reps late last month but my custom ordered driver will not ship for another 10 days so Id like to know if anyone has hit them here. The X-drive 365 is .5 open so I ordered mine .5 closed, Its available in any shaft length, I went with 44.25 Graphite Design M-75  I am scared because Maru is using this driver and every driver Maru uses is very difficult to hit. It being a PRO SPEC model, the C.O.R is within and conforming to the USGA rules and regulations. The TYPE 365 was manufactured as a more forgiving head than the Maru Spec. The 365 is Limited Edition Special order only researched and proved to work best for the high trajectory, fade hitters. This X-Drive model has been made and released in limited quantities ensuring a higher level of quality control and specification accuracy. But, keep in mind that waiting too long for this limited driver, puts you in jeopardy with the lack of inventory. The feedback I am hearing is its a 365cc driver shaped like the 325cc version with a less open face. The C.O.G & weighting is for someone who plays a high fade.... thats me
  8. What pro's are currently using the TP irons anyway?
  9. Yeah 825 4-PW, They only offer NSpro 950, S200, & X100 :tired: 88,000yen 4-PW is a much cheaper price than the U.S MSRP :surprize:
  10. The Clevelands ARE NOT new. This is a set from 4-5 years ago, not the protos for the CG2. They are real forged as opposed to form forged, in addition to the combo there was all a straight blade set and a full cavity set. They've been floating around Ebay and Yahoo Japan for years, but they're nothing new. The blade in fact is a take off of one of the early blades Cleveland made in the 1980s when they were starting to become a real company and not a vintage club replica company. Nice sticks, rare for sure, tour issue for sure, but not new. Sounds like this guy knows what he's talking about. :surprize: They dont look like nothing new would.
  11. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/modules.php?na...order=0&thold=0
  12. Hmmm with your 110mph swing speed you would hit a 19 degree about 475yds  They have been out for a year and sold out for half a year, very hard to get. They run about 370 shipped and were designed by Nike Japan. Currently Nike Japan has none in stock.
  13. Cant go wrong with the F/UT.. I love them My #1 Choice is the Japan Nike T100, its wicked sweet to hit. The Akira is closed face with a carbon crown. I think they are on to somthing with this in UT woods. I have never hit any so i cant comment on performance.
  14. Funny how many of the members that buy the best clubs dont take the time to post pics... just makes us appreciate the people who take pics more.
  15. And a Nike PW instead of a Titleist one..... Its a very rare Tour Issue Nike I think... The bounce stamp on the sole is pretty cool. Zip you know a lot about titty's have you ever seen these before?
  16. What the Heck Are these?? :-D
  17. Is this for real? Custom Grind Proto satin 681's from the USPGA? My first time ever hearing about these...
  18. I just added a few vids near the bottom right of the screen on the main page. Let me know if there are any errors. The members area will have a HUGE CraZy Video room ( not all videos will be golf related  )
  19. I see nothing wrong with me having a preference, no ones obsessing here, trust me..
  20. Ok Japanese comercials it is, I will start with the Tourstage/Bridgestone then upload the Srixon's etc. You will see them on the right side of the home page within a week.
  21. The members section is done and awaiting perfectly translated content, I think you guys will be happy, Its got a large image hosting service+ gallery, Handicap tracker, WMV instruction, WMV import club review, WMV club building workshops, Golfers Dream & Anserfreak USA. Please wait a month or two until all the content is translated and uploaded. Another cool feature is the members get their B/S/T listings w/Pics on the home page. Some of you may have seen funky music videos on the home page, what do you think? Music no Video's? Videos & more choices? How about Golf Video? Japanese Golf Commercials? There is a really good ebay style B/S/T ranking system but its not available for php Nuke, It would have to be custom made..lol just like our clubs. Is it worth a 1000 bucks? :money: Anyway I need some feedback, I don't want to add a bunch of high end expensive cool web work and have the majority not like it.
  22. I just started with a question and then my opinion, my intent was not to share the info I am now having to because of people always calling me to the point. I know your a big time scratch supporter primo, but your eye is far from critical. Your telling me the grind work for Scratch Customs is on par with any other brands is WILD. Of the 13 Scratch Customs I have purchased not one has been on par with any other brand on the market. NOT 1 them ain't good odds. I shouldn't have to teach you what to look for and if you don't see it on your own you most likely never will. If I had your Custom 52 in my hand I could spot out flaws in seconds. I'm no grind guru but I know that non golfing laborers who do grinding for OEMS are able to make every line smooth, rounded, with no transition errors even implement basic techniques that scratch has not perfected yet, and this is all pre finish. There are areas on scratch where I can almost count on things being un flush. I can post more pics if you want of every area I am talking about , but do we really need to? Its not good for Scratch. Many customers know exactly what I'm talking about already and customers with a not so critical eye will never notice the flaws. I play the scratch OTR's and like them a lot, these are strictly problems with the wedges hand done by the guys at Scratch in the U.S. In grinding apprenticeship a formal training is necessary unless there is some major natural talent within. Sword makers have apprentices for 20 years. at Ishihara MOZ there are apprentices also. The people at the factories in China or elsewhere had to all go through basic grinding technique do's and donts. I don't know who is doing the grinds for the U.S customs but error after error followed by promises then error again IMO means more attention to detail and training is needed. Usually when a company manufactures large amounts of product there are errors but when making small amounts & single wedges at a time the ability to make sure everything is flawless and perfect shouldn't be an issue. Take MOZ for an example, have you ever seen a more flawless hand made wedge? Zero Errors or they toss the head. Thats the way it should be or at least close. No stamping bumps, leading edge, neck, or top line flaws should be seen on any brand or any wedge period.
  23. If you mean strictly the new plater scratch uses in Japan ... you got a point for all the chrome lovers. But frankly that doesn't change the fact that Scratch has an excellent product at hand. In my opinion their wedges are the best on the market. The customization they offer is outstanding. My three wedges are in the Antique finish, meaning non-plated. I highly doubt they would be any better if I had opted for the(japanese) chrome/satin version. haribo I have no problem with you having that opinion, I'm happy your happy and my intent was not to make any points. There are differences, take a look... The OTR has a smoother transition neck OTR U.S Custom no plating Hiro M neck non plated I pay a lot of attention to detail and need clean rounded lines, I also prefer a method of Illusion grinding that hides size, Mizuno does this well. I also ask because I find it very appealing to have the same Black finish MOZ uses and the same grinding technique that his apprentices who make the OTR's use. Scratch can hand grind the heads and then send them to Japan to be finished, or the head could be 100% made in Japan, or it could be made 100% in the U.S. I am the type of person who would care to know or may even have a preference.
  24. What shaft is that? TT lite A/L? Any info jeff, that is a great price. What do they compare to?
  25. Who did the grinding and the finish? Were they done in Japan or U.S? Chris, no offence but I think you're getting a little too obsessed with the question "Japan or U.S." haribo None taken, Its in my opinion there is a big difference between the two in regards to scratch.
