2005 Tourstage ViQ *Forged* Irons
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
No the X-Series is safe, this is of a different series and I would assume the ViQ is more forgiving. -
Its Tourstage in most parts of Asia. Myself and others think the B330 is the same ball as the 04 release Tourstage X01. The X-01 balls have 368 dimples, same as the Precept U-Tri Tour. Maruyama played the equivilent version of the UTT in the past. The B330 has 330 dimples. Different ball. Good work! I stand corrected. I wonder why the Japanese are not playing the 330 dimp.

2005 Tourstage MR series??? What's New??
TourSpecGolfer replied to tincup975's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
ok Sure, The new 2005.5 Tourstage MR-23 Maru Limited wedges feature a soft forged head and beautiful dark finish, Its shaft is made of steel and its grip rubber, Maruyama uses these wedges and loves them, even other non tourstage staffers have them in the bag. They are the best wedges in the world. Comes in a fancy black box  The new MR-23 irons are made of forged steel with a steel shaft and rubber grips also, it is an iron set that has the logo MR23 on it. The new MR23 woods are made of titanium and feature graphite shafts and rubber grips which is something they have never done in golf club manufacturing before. -

Hey God, Did you reshaft the Maru's? yours were v.2 correct? Joey can work wonders on Maru's ya know :niceshot: Im actually looking forward to hitting the CB sandwedge in the ViQ forged set, I know its a fag wedge but my game needs all the help it can get. -
2005 Tourstage ViQ *Forged* Irons
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
They have 2 tungsten ( hidden in sole) weights per head and turbo rubber, other than that just what looks to be a very user friendly design. Your a smart man for waiting till after the show, but beware that show might drive some of us into Ho overload. -
FAKES...FAKES...and more FAKES... w/PICS!!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Check the shaft, the OEM usually don't make a shaft exactly like the fake, If the price is too crazy like 250 - 500 for a full set brand new with a bag its prob a fake. A fake set will have a few clubs that look totally weird, just examine every club in the set, especially the putter. These are S.E Asia fakes, the Japan fakes you would never know, Its just sad that way. If the seller is in the Navy and just got back with the load of dirt cheap brand new clubs, I doubt they are real. Sailors bring in several thousand sets a year at least. -
2005 Tourstage ViQ *Forged* Irons
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Dont know have not hit them yet, by the way they look I am guessing they will be a good fit for me. I was looking for a CB with good feel and a small profile, Tourstage always makes great Irons, with such a basic design that looks extremely logical I will drop the cash to find out. -

The 2005 Tourstage X-Wedge Series
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Take a look at the pic, The difference is shape, offset, etc.. basically the way it sets up not to mention the bounce and grind. most pro's are playing the 01 & 03, personally I like the way the 02mid sets up looks easy to hit. -
The 2005 Tourstage X-Wedge Series
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
IMO the TW-01-02-04 etc looks way different than the X-Wedge. -
These Irons are on the way into my bag.

I am very surprised that one of the most popular and best performing wedges in japan is barely recognized here on TSG. I honestly thought more members would buy this club, its got a lot going for it and I have never met anyone who didnt love it insanely. It has shredder grooves like the maru wedges did. Here are pics of X-wedges: 01, 02, 03, & 02 MID This is a wedge that should not be overlooked if you are in the market for somthing special.

What is the best Tourstage driver?
TourSpecGolfer replied to dennisdaniels99's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The ones that worked best for me: 1. X-Drive 390 High C.O.R 2. X-Drive 365 3. J340 4. Izawa proto 5. X-Drive 350 High C.O.R notice I choose high C.O.R, it is because the face angle is .5 closed to square instead of open like the pro specs. The new X-Drive 2005 looks like a sure fire winner, square face available in conforming models, They did away with the foamed heads!!!! :surprize: and replaced them with turbo rubber, its a blue rubber that stabilizes the head causing more rebound they say  This rubber is under the grip as well as in the head, the Titanium used is supposed to be some super duper feeling stuff and they have something they do to the back of the face that makes it hotter. Cool thing is I will have them by the end of this week if anyone is interested. those of you who were smart and pre ordered will get it early. -
Currently there is no long putter for sale. I suggest you have your club maker build it that way for you. I have not seen a CS version yet also but I think it could come if support for the VT is good.
