  1. Nice! Please take some pics if you have time, What do you mean split the costs? Pretty much everyone can do Black Nickel or some sort of variation but I think the bigger companies stay away or just don't like to do it for some reason. Gauge will do some wedges here and there for a studio customer but mizuno does have a dark finish that could be similar. Who is refinishing your clubs?
  2. Possible release of what clubs? There is Black Ox and Flat Black available from Japan. They both wear easy. IMO there is no durable black except for Teflon. I never trust reps with information they most often only have one source and its the company they work for. Sold a ton of Mizuno Custom Irons and surprised there isn't more pics. Cmon guys post um.
  3. Have you ever been banned for no apparent reason at TSG? There is a system error I find Ironic and funny that will ban a user from a certain part of the website anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. I have been banned only once. I get a few e-mails here and there from people complaining i banned them, I simply apologize and tell them about this error. Anyone experience this error?
  4. :-D :-D :-D Ok Ok, you caught me.... I dont play Hiro's or sell golf clubs
  5. Well i have the money because i have been saving for about 4 years for school and golf. I dont make too much because i only work 3 days a week but i probably will have around 3k by June. So mixing companies would be a bad thing like mentioned above? This does damper my excitement but if it wouldnt be recommened then i wont do it. Do you really have all these brands available and if so could by individually. Im selling all the equipment you see on the site, pretty much everything from Japan. By June you may be interested in somthing else, Nothing is wrong with mixing brands, I do it and so does the majority. Brands like Hiro dont sell irons individualy, I know mizuno does no problem Im not so sure about scratch.
  6. Only Rumors but they are a small CB with thin sole like the MR-23 blade, with a black fill inside the cavity. Cb's for sure. Tourstage holds their products for a very long time, I would not expect them until mid to late 2005. Would be nice if they had protos at the Tokyo Golf Fair in January. Maru would be using a proto set if they were coming out anytime soon.
  7. If your 16 without much money I don't think the Hiro's fit the bill. I think Hiro's are all about the name and prestige, they perform no different than any other high end set, they just have a setup some people cant live without and If your shooting for a Major Drool bag that gets attention go for it. Your shooting some killer scores, with your skills hopefully one day find a sponser, :mizuno:  Hey wasnt their an 18 year and older disclaimer when registering?...j/k
  8. Thats a very good question, I would like know.
  9. Miura isn't doing any U.S company forgings now that N.A has been established, No one in the U.S can have their heads done by miura anymore nor can purchase the raw heads to grind on their own. TM is going to make a killing off the TP sets from China, your looking at cost of about 5 bucks probably less in TM's bulk per raw Chinese forged head x 8 = 45.00 + grinding, finishing, labor, assembly and shipping. My best guess would be TM's cost being around or less than 200.00 per set. If made by Miura I am guessing their cost would be almost 500 shafted and assembled.
  10. I think it comes in waves, a while ago I thought the same when MR-23's were all over ebay. The people who bought them for 800 - 1300.00 probably sold along while ago due to resale value fears, Now they are being sold for are extremely reasonable prices, It is still very hard to find a mint set and keep it that way especially with the copper under layer. but at least now everyone can afford to see what the rave was all about two years ago. I only recommend MR-23's for single digit players with good ball striking. The majority of decent players on golf forum boards are using open face, X-flex, high C.O.G etc etc clubs because someone says its cool and retail is poop. We need to all grasp the reality of the type of equipment we use. Currently I am using the Hiro Cb's which I shouldn't be, they are just as compact as the 23's...maybe smaller. I'm thinking at my level Srixon 404's, Gauge Cb's, Mizuno MP-27's etc etc should fit my game profile. .5 closed face & Stiff flex cause me no shame in the game. I still hit the Retail R7 much further than the TP, even with the same shaft.
  11. There are a bunch of killer wedges to look at: Hiro Matsumoto MOZ Mizuno Customs Scratch Japan built version Fourteen low bounce Mizuno T series Srixon 202 Zodia Tourstage X wedge I currently play Mizuno's but I'm now testing the OTR scratch's, I think I need about 10 degrees bounce in my 58. I highly recommend NS pro 850 stiff or SR in any heavy head wedge.
  12. Only two made for Hoshino both GSS i sold that one for 1900.00 used in Japan.
  13. I bought the last wedges in stock. I have 5 for sale in Satin, I will do the paintfill in any color you want. 159.00 Shipped ! I have 56, 58, 60 & a PW w/ S300 shafts and Lamkin crosslines, all brand new. What is the bounce and grind on the OTR's LOL beats me :-D Hey Ari! Any Idea what these wedges are?

  16. There were some issues in the past with the finish quality of the Scratch Custom made wedges. Ari has had some tuff times trying to get us the best product possible for us due to the poor quality of U.S finishers. Scratch Golf is currently in the midst of a 2005 model revamp and has purchased all new machines as well as created an OTR series that is 100% hand made and finished in Japan. I stepped away from scratch wedges due to the finish flaws a while back which is not Ari's or anyone at Scratch's fault. I am now a firm supporter once again due to the new Japanese OTR wedges. I got 6 of them in the mail today. I bought the 6 to see if the new machines made a difference. I also wanted to see the quality of the new OTR's. Here are some pics, the finish is on par with the Custom Mizuno Finishes. The OTR's are hand ground heads done in Japan.
  17. I know Hoshino personally he is one of the three GD players in the top 10 on the J-Tour now. He has Srixon 404's the 404 driver, Srixon Tour wedges, and a custom baby blue bag. Not sure about the FW's but i will find out. He uses many of the same putters i have sold in the past. like: GAA0SP Prototype He actually uses these two putters on and off. He also uses a 2 ball blade DFX.[/img]
  18. Hey Paul, please post some good pics and prices  I'm curious to learn whats different. Zodia has almost disappeared in Japan.
  19. I did it twice and played it, but hated the Driver. My bag now is MR-23 irons and wedges and the Bettinardi putter. But I have gone to TM for the Driver and Sonartec for the FWs. However, I am looking at going to an all new set for 2005, just for fun.... I had the same experience, It was the Maru spec driver for me that sucked. Other than that I am thinking about trying to copy Hoshino's Srixon bag and Im pretty sure I will go for the 2005-06 MR-23 Cb's if they do come out.
  20. 1.5mm shorter heel to toe - hardly noticeable. How much for a set? And I thought you had a semi critical eye :-D . 1.5mm is a big difference IMO especially to the eye. I suggest you put the 302's and 404's side by side to see the difference for yourself.
  21. Paul, Whats the difference between U.S Spec Zodia and Japan Premium wedges?
  22. The Irons and putters are made by Gold's Factory, so they are of awesome quality. Dance with Dragon makes head covers, bags etc for GF and they trade product. Iomic grips look nice but are no good IMO, if you want them let me know but there is very little traction to your hands.
  23. Yes 404's are sweet, getting a load of play on the J-Tour they are bigger than the hiro's and not as player too. The offset is minimal but it does exist. much shorter heel to toe than the 302's with less offset would sum it all up.
  24. Yes I know the owner of Dance w/dragon. They produce head covers and some pretty funky bags, They were supposed to do the TSG shirts but I totally flipped out on them when they said my cost would be 65.00 a shirt ( MY COST :-) ) Stinking Bums I'm still in shock especially after getting quoted 8.00 a shirt from saipan. Sasaya from GF stamps stuff on the putters and blades for them in exchange for bags, shirts, & headcovers.
