  1. They come direct from Mizuno Japan, After i put the order in of course. Our relationship for ordering custom sets from mizuno is getting stronger and stronger, perhaps in a year or so I can get some proto's but they already are offering custom options to TSG that even shops in Japan cant get. Chris, How much is a set like this? What kind of finish is this? Would Mizuno due a combo set with MP-30's and these new cutmuscles? PM me for a price, This is flat black finish, Yes I can get a 30/32 combo set for you. I dont think its called cutmuscle in Japan.
  2. I hit the proto MB's they are the most forgiving blade since the MP33 IMO. Almost no need for the CB in the set. They are part of that whole new forgiving blade movement. Gauge Japan Does have a new 2005 Cb set coming that has the same profile as the blade so it will mesh well as a combo set. Total they have 3-4 different designs of Irons coming, one is very X-16ish, the other sorta remind me of the MR-23 but bigger, then the MB's. Here are some mizuno custom M stamp examples. There are other variations of these as well, you can move the location of the stamping or change the paintfill:
  3. That´s very true.... What would you think about the MP32 compared to MP30 in your combo? And how would you categorize the MP32 compared to the MP33? Thanks for your help, Ziggy The 32's were decent, IMO the 33's always have been some of the best made. a 27/32/33 set would be interesting, maybe a little funky looks wise. Ask Breal, he has a custom set of mizzy combo's that he loves, maybe he can give some insight when he gets back from his surf adventure, that way you can see if he would have done things in a different setup.
  4. Are your MR23's going to high? they have a pretty high C.O.G, Project X shafts should help keep it boring also.
  5. I definitely suggest some Mizuno Custom M stamps, 3-4 MP27 5-7 MP30 8-PW MP33 Thats always a nice setup, when ordering custom have them all spec'd to your desired lofts, lie angles and shaft lengths. The MR-23's are nice but very demanding.
  6. Very nice clubs, up there with the best mizuno Cb's ever made. They are not as forgiving as the MP27s, and I assume your talking about the S30 power blade not the V or S models. Feel is always top notch with mizuno. They are players Cb's except for the small amount of offset. I highly recommend these irons.
  7. Ive got the UX1 on the way now to test against the TM driving Iron. It is very interesting the differences I have found between the driving irons vs the utility woods. The utility woods have a greater chance of going ob, slicing or hooking yet are more forgiving because of the FW wood like presence. The trajectory is usually higher IMO. The Driving Irons I notice are straighter, lower, with more roll, they have a tighter band of error and you get less spin. If you don't hit your woods fairly straight, and you enjoy hitting long irons, I suggest a driving iron. Utility woods did not work well for my game, I had a lot of fear if there was an OB close on the right, with a driving Iron, they all pretty much go straight except for an occasional small pull or push. My TM TP U2 is almost as long as my 5 wood but a load more straight. On tight Japanese courses, I have shot my lowest scores with no 3 wood or driver, the driving irons are very useful in an area you need to play smart and hit the short grass.
  8. The Mac Tecs feel pretty good, reminds me of the mezza monza, there are three different sizes. The XXIO funky looking one I really did not care for at all, It was light huge and just didnt set up well for me. I have a couple ViQ mallets stuck in customs currently so I dont know yet. They are all pretty cheap as far as Japanese stuff goes.
  9. I was offered a set of Rac protos at an un real low cost of 2700.00 2-PW brand new. I know some people selling it for 4000 - 5000 If the retail version will cost 1000.00 they better be made by miura. No one is currently playing hiro matsumoto irons on the JPGA tour. The operation is very traditional, they have a tour van but I have never seen it at an actual event.
  10. Blank Mizuno's???? I think I can do that, but it will still say grain flow forged on the neck.
  11. There is a big difference in the size of these heads when compared to the 05 Tm Cb's. The heads of the hiros are smaller with less offset. While doing a search for specs on Cb's through every maker these hiros have the least amount of offset of any, even the MR-23 Cb. I have 1 set with S200's coming next wednesday that I am willing to sell way below retail. I want someone else to experience these here.
  12. I agree tai, This was a last and final result after dozens of e-mails and Pm's. Bomby was a great buyer, I don't know him as a seller except for this single transaction with glen. glen even agreed to pay shipping, in fact until i got involved glen was almost forced to have to fix, sell and 50% loss refund because bomb was 120% stubborn. I had to get involved because I have seen this situation many times before and there is only one right thing to do in this case. I think he felt cornered when I helped glen but what he doesn't realize is if glen was the seller and bomb was the buyer, I would be on bombs side just the same. BTW how many pulls can a shaft handle before the shaft begins to warp?
  13. Remember the Crack Tip Dispute? earlier this week? I deleted the thread when I got the E-mail he would refund in 4 days. The overwhelming support for a refund really pissed him off and this is what mr. bombdrive sent me: And this guy was a good member/customer last week :surprize: Of course the buyer isn't going to waste his time at court for a $100.00 cracked tip shaft but here is a great example of a nightmare seller. This attitude, lack of understanding and unwillingness to accept responsibility is the reason he is no longer a member here and the reason why Golf Forum B/S/T's are not as safe as we would like them to be.
  14. They come direct from Mizuno Japan, After i put the order in of course. Our relationship for ordering custom sets from mizuno is getting stronger and stronger, perhaps in a year or so I can get some proto's but they already are offering custom options to TSG that even shops in Japan cant get. Like what? A lot.
  15. The M stamp MP27's shipped to their new homes yesterday :wah: I don't know which is better when the level of quality is this high. I played 8 more holes today with them after a few glasses of wine :hiro: I was hitting them like a champ  its 90 degrees out and the sulfur headache is on and I can feel my heart beating in my skull. The thing i like best about them so far is the feel of a shot well hit, I have a problem pulling the ball now but today the pulls just felt soo good at impact  maybe I could use a Lil more offset, I'm not sure. After a fitting and blueprint I think they could do me justice.
  16. Over Priced? Yes but not overrated IMO. I always wanted a set of these irons in Satin finish and finally i have the Irons I dream of. They just came in today w/ PX 6.0's and Winn arrow grips installed. The first thing i noticed was how they set up like blades, take a look at the top line profile pic, these Cb's have the smallest heads and least amount of offset since the MR23 Cb's. The entire set is very gradually progressive, even the top line slowly grows as you go from #3 to PW. Heel to toe size its pretty short and I noticed almost anywhere hit on the face has a forgiving result which is probably due to the nice size cavity and design. The back has a CNC milled piece similar to the 05 TM Rac Cb, the satin finish is almost ridiculous its so nice. I had a good time hitting them into a net pretty much concentrating on the feel of the ball at impact, which was very nice only bad feedback was when hit very high on the face toe side, heel shots were extremely forgiving. I still need more time with them to give a better review, they are not as forgiving as Gauge Cb's or Custom Mizuno's but the way the setup and feel could make up for it.
  17. Your bag is no longer for sale. I no longer sell the Titty Japan stand bag because it is out of stock, there is a new model coming in January to replace it. Please PM me with the exact tag it was and i will ask them if they got some.
  18. I never really thought of that but thats absolutely true. They are willing to try new technology that way Later the U.S will pick up on. Like Carbon Crowns, I.C.T from TM i think which started with the XR series drivers, carbon crown utility woods, many different types of materials etc etc You should see their, washing machines they turn to dryers after it washes all in one, refrigerators, and electronics. No holds barred spend a ton of money on R & D kinda stuff. I was looking in the golf mag Choice and they had ridiculous hand made leather golf shoes CUSTOM from design, color to everything on it :surprize: They were back ordered for 19 months at 1890.00 - 3500.00 each :money: :wah: At the Louis Vutton store, Rolex, Tag, Gucci etc stores they have limited edition watches and bags that the U.S never See's. Like in the U.S we have the Tag Tiger woods watch but in J-Pan they have limited edition models for individual victories etc. Although I have never ever seen a Proto or Tour Issue time piece. Titleist, Scotty Cameron, and many other brands sell special clubs exclusive to Japan like the Ignite Tiger 337cc signed in a case, Scotty Cameron CT putters I have not seen on any U.S site, Tigers T model Titty Irons, and a million more crazy collectibles. In the U.S the unofficial name for us is " Club Ho's" In Japan there are Club Maniacs" and if your really sick "Club Freaks". They do experiment a lot with new things and thank goodness for that or I would be out of work
  19. They're expensive simply because they are Japanese. Anything marketed in Japan is expensive - perhaps due to a higher cost of living? Even cd's in Japan are priced higher. So the higher price is not related whatsoever to a quality issue. As a matter of fact, some high priced Tourstage balls have lower prices USA Precept equivalents. Jovi good point, right now people in Japan are getting fat and living good, salarys are going up and the economy is getting very solid again. When I first got to Japan times were hard for many but now it seems as everyone is spending a ton on luxury items. It is always a good sign when the sky in the outskirts of tokyo is filled with cranes building sky scrapers.
  20. So how soft is M266V X-stiff? I hear they're softer than X100's but how do them compare with the NS Pro 1050 X? You cant just order the shafts, You must buy the MR-23 blades or X-CB limited editions that came out with that shaft about 4 months ago.
  21. Hey guys cool news, I hear the rumor ( from pro support ) that Maru will be switching to Cb's next year, He already plays the M266V NS Pro shafts over the X100's and he has been using the more forgiving X-Drive 2, it looks like he may be getting back to his Japan roots with more forgiving equipment soon.
