  1. Played yesterday in cloudy, misty 49* weather, not my ideal but hey it's the end of October in Wisconsin...gotta say that the wait for my Scratch wedges was worthwhile!! I've never spun so many pitch shots so accurately in my life. ...musta put 6 pitches inside 4 ft..only reason I only stunk up the place just a little bit.. I am already anticipating spring so I can get some practice in and see what these can do when the guy on the operating end sort of knows what he's doing..what am I saying I NEVER have a clue what I'm doing, especially if I'm playing well....
  2. Never thought I'd have to worry about reading posts at work.. :surprize: :surprize: ...not that I'm complaining mind you..some folks just don't appreciate quality scenery..I can't concentrate on her face enough to tell if that's my sister.. :-D

Nice set up D...now we sit back and wait for the follow up...
  4. Alan, I am glad you are Happy  Send me a check if you want - I am not shy and will always take a hand out :money: :smile2: :smile2: :smile2: and while you're at it you could send one my way..
  5. Nice indeed....enjoy them..

In the sig....until I see something else that looks good
  7. spending $$$ on computers has fewer consequences than stealing one... Alan..I think all parents have a responsibility and solemn duty to piss their children off...repeatedly ...frequently...often....without regard to where when how....why this is so I can not say for sure but I do know for the most part it is not a conscious thing....perhaps it's the result of years of familiarity.....or maybe parents grow up to be ass****s to their kids in retaliation for the whole having to change diaper thing...or maybe they do it to show us that they can still find the buttons and push them really hard.....we are always the most aggravating to those we love.... enough of that......anyone seen the new Corvette? I could see myself in one of those (what am I saying) nah...but is does have some serious get up and move down the road...
  8. sigh...once again a new goal...those are almost too beautiful to hit ...really anxious to read your review ... cash flow must have more cash flow.
  9. I could play the Pro V but at $10 a box more that just snorts baking soda..I'll have to try the new Wilson Staff balls...was always a favorite of mine...back when you could buy a premium ball for $1.25 each....course gas was 29 cents a gallon too ...thanks for the info Mike...those wedges do make the ball stop on a dime and give you 9 cents change if you want them to..takes a little getting used to..
  10. Hipcheck...I know what you mean and I don't work in IT, they wrote that law to affect everyone..and expensive!, my word some of the nonsense we're required to do takes a lot of time which could be put to productive use rather than this nonsense. Ah yes, life is always so much better when the guvment gets involved... on a happier note I got to play the other day, actually took a day off to finish some work around the house and much to my surprise was done before noon, and must say that those Scratch wedges are something else. I didn't play worth poop but that's just because it's been 2 weeks since I hit many balls. I believe the Nippon shafts will be a serious contender in the next irons...very very smooth :scratch1: but I think I'll need to find a little tougher ball, they tend to peel the paint off my Precept's...but that may just be because they're new...any one else have that problem? have a great weekend guys....I just noticed the standing in DM's contest..major suckage from my boys..hope they quit playing like girls soon...
  11. nice...have some fun doing that...
  12. He was a truly funny man...he and Ted Knight never failed to make me laugh....
  13. Life's a bitch and then you die...somebody dead once said that...gee and all I have to do is clean the garage, the gutters and get ready to have the house painted. Just FYI stucco and Wisconsin were NOT made for one another....almost 10k to have the place painted so it doesn't start taking on water like the Titanic...that's 4 sets of Hiro Matsumoto's..... :-) if only I had it as bad as the saw man...
  14. While some people call all hobbies silly, I see them as enjoyable, generally safe, entertainment, unless of course you collect body parts. As golf hobbiests, enthusiasts, or those so over the top that years of therapy and mass quantities of drugs are incapable of controlling their drooling, twitchy, wallet emptying episodes, we are allowed to indulge in whatever fetish like behavior we choose. If that includes changing clubs as often as your underwear, perhaps in some cases more often but that's more info than I need or desire, or matching our stuff with the stuff our favorite professional uses I say "keep the economy rollin' ". :money:  I can't answer to whether you buy six sets of clubs to call yourself a ho or you're a ho and buy six sets of clubs....I only know I've never had ONE of anything nor have I done anything just ONCE...even if I didn't like it there is always that little voice whispering that this time it'll be different...

I like this idea!!! Ditto....hats are good...so are shirts...I've been known to wear both
  16. AKFLY..sorry but I r a technotard and can't help...on a positive note my wedges showed up yesterday...5 months to the day...I feel bad that Ari had so many problems with these...now if it'll get above 35 degrees tomorrow I can go hit them....these things are very very nice to look at...
  17. check your profile and make sure that you have enabled the smilies...
  18. While I can sometimes get away without a sightline on anser type putters, I am much more comfortable with a mallet and 2-3 lines. Perhaps it is age or just a mental need that I have something to verify that I am pointed in the right direction. Now if I could just trust myself and believe what I see I would putt even better than I do.. I have never found slit putters to feel "right", something about the sound they make just grates. For now I avoid them because of that.
  19. Happy Monday Guys... Played in our corporate golf outing Saturday and experienced a golfing first..the fairways were so heavily watered that you left footprints in someplaces and the roughs were so dry that on one hole I hit it up the left hand rough 70 yds past everyone else's ball. I have no idea why they do that for a corporate event ? Most of the players are just out to drink and have a good time so what would be the point of taking all the run out of the fairways? Ah well...it was a good time even if we only finished at -10..they raffle off thousands of dollars worth of goodies every year. Got myself an MP3 player this year that'll make a great birthday gift for my oldest daughter. Anyway ya' all have a great week and be happy if you don't live/own property in Florida... :surprize: ....
  20. maybe if you do away with bobbing and weaving your head like Stevie you'd putt a little better?..just a thought... I played Tuesday and the guy who set the pins needs to have his nuts nipped....4 putted the 1st cuz the hole is 10 inches from a shelf...1st putt up the hill past the hole....2nd put 6 inches past and rolled back down to where I started with the first putt...grrrrrr...after the ball rolling off the green on the 3rd hole I gave up trying to make anything and just lagged most of the first putts...did hit every fairway on the front side tho...that was fun..now if I could just learn to trust my swing with my irons....maybe I should get a new set.. :money: Any of you read about the guy in Minnesota who got the 205 mph speeding ticket...was moving twice as fast as the plane that clocked him :surprize: ..on a Honda 1000...good thing it's September cuz a June bug to the chest at that speed would either punch a hole right thru him or knock him right off the seat....wonder how long it takes to stop at that speed? using the brakes not tipping over that is...
  21. ....yes sir I believe it is...some boat trip eh too funny
  22. those are amazing..I had a set of Hagen's back in the early 80's that were that small....how could they not be forgiving? there's no place to miss, at least 1/2 the ball hits the sweetspot unless you hit only half the ball..once again I am in lust..sigh
  23. I think he's out looking for Moose and Squirrel
