What's the best shaft to hit high drives?
Purple Ice. It weighs in at 83 grams or so but it has nice reaction at impact and gets the ball up in the air.

Need a little advice regarding iron shaft fitting
A lot of companies can use the Ping fittings. Go to a Ping retailer, tell them you are interested and go through the full fitting. After that use whatever setup they gave you as your guide.

What do you think is the best ball out there in japan or ?
Maxfli Revolutions (both EXT and Tour) are great.

kzg gemini 395
:-D :-D /begin sarcasm mode SACRILEGE! HERESY! OMFG I cannot believe you've said this. /end sarcasm mode In all seriousness, I really like my Gemini. It's got plenty of forgiveness and I've found a lot more fairways with it. There are other clubs I've hit that are longer but I tended to spray them a little bit further left and right. If you are prone to a fade/slice then this club can help you a bit with it's forgiveness. If your natural shape is a draw then you will really want to demo it before you decide to buy. I also hit the Cleveland 460 and if I had the spare change hanging around I would consider it as a backup/rival for this club. I've heard, but haven't hit, that the Nakashima NP-1 is a great driver with about the same forgiveness as the Gemini and maybe a bit longer.

Think you have balls?
need to hit a "chip" shot then... :surprize: That reminds me of the commercial for chipshot.com. Anybody remember that one? Golfer1: Chip it out. Golfer2: No, I can get through here.

Think you have balls?
My balls are too big for that thing

Dowels and Swing Weight
It's going to depend on the weight of the dowels. If he has the same kind of fluted dowels that I used in mine they will be only a gram or two each but may raise the swingweight by a point. According to swingweight.com: The rest of the swingweight article is here: http://www.swingweight.com/swingweight,_ho..._what_&_why.htm

Photos Gauge Irons, Can't talk, Hit today, Took off plastic
Very nice looking! I'm sure a lengthy review is coming soon. Let us know how those grips hold up. Our assistant pro tried out a dual textured grip like that (cord on top, rubber on bottom) and they fell apart within a month right at the seam of the two textures.

Project x or flighted rifle what are the diff.
Check out Royal Precisions website here: http://www.royalprecision.com/Technology/Index.cfm and see what they have to say about the differences between the Project X and the flighted shafts. I made the switch about a month ago from DG S300s to Project X 6.0 and really like the change. I feel as if I've hit more greens and had a tighter shot dispersion from the Project X shafts. The DG S300s seemed to get really whippy when I would need to really attack the ball. One thing you can do is buy a single shaft of each of these and have them put in a club. You can go to http://www.leaderboardgolf.com/index.html and they sell individual Project X shafts in any flex and with either taper or parallel tip. I don't see any of the flighted rifles for sale there but you might try Golf Smith or go to Royal Precisions site and they have a list of resellers.

what is the best steel shaft for a fw?
The DG S300s weigh in at 127 grams. If you are looking for something lighter but want to stick with steel then you can go with TT Dynamic Gold Lite which average about 15 grams less in respective flexes than the regular Dynamic Gold. True Temper also makes the Crossfire shafts for woods that weigh in under 100 grams. Royal Precision makes Rifle shafts for woods but they are only a few grams lighter than the DG S300s. I've been thinking about changing out my S300s in my fairway woods for a set of Royal Precision Rifles. I have rifle shafts in all of my irons so why not stick with the same thing through the fairway woods. I'm hitting them off the deck just like the irons so why not stick with a similar shaft. I'm pretty sure I'll get them within a week or so and try them out. Now I have to buy a heat gun so I can pull the shafts from the 975f's.

putting
My favorite long putt drill is to take a tee and put it in the ground and work my way back from it two feet at a time. I'll use three balls and try to hit it with at least one. If I miss, I move back in until I get to ten feet. After ten feet I have to have one within a foot.

Owning 2 putters ?
Yeah i was thinking of going belly on a 2nd Eldik just for kicks, Know of any websites where i can get belly grip set ups? I'm 5 ft 11" and i don't know what length to try :-D Its strange that I'm now interested in belly putters after hearing they should be illegal. My favorite site for shafts and grips lately has been Leaderboard Golf. They have a few differenty grips available here: http://www.leaderboardgolf.com/specialityp...puttergrips.htm

Owning 2 putters ?
I've gone back and forth between my SC Studio 2.5 and my Rossa Monza belly putter on the practice green. As soon as I find out the shaft size on the Scotty I'm going to install a mid length shaft and start using it.

ProjectX vs. Rifle Flighted?
I switched from DGS300s to PX 6.0s and did the work myself using the dowel insertion method mentioned here (thanks to Joe Kwok for his insight): http://forums.prospero.com/golfequip/messa...es?msg=141591.1 I've really felt great about making the change. With the dowel insertion I don't really feel that the Project X shafts are stiffer, I get great feed back from the clubs and the flight of the ball is awesome. The ball gets up in the air, seems to flatten out and then just drop right down on the green. I don't know about the shafts being "stiffer," the 6.0 means that they measure out at the same frequency as standard 6.0 rifles but from what I've read is that they are a bit stiffer in the tip than standard rifles. Also, I've heard people say that the PX's are better for those that are hitters as opposed to swingers.

TM300 Forged Retail vs. TSZ101
Sorry, I missed this somehow. I can't compare but can help with TS Z101s. I have a set of TS Z101s with Project X 6.0 shafts in them. Forgiveness: I've found that when I've hit shots a little thin it seems that the ball still stays on line and ends up just about the same distance as if I hit it full on the face. Playability: I can hit both a draw and a cut with them. I find the cut/slice shots are a little harder to create by swing alone and have to open the face to get the ball moving from left to right. Setup and Topline: The clubs set up a little upright but that helps me hit the draw I like. The topline is as thin as a set of Titleist 690.MBs and is very nice to look down at. Offset: Not offset in them. The stats I have on them are, 2 -PW in mm, 3.5, 3.5, 3.5, 2.5, 2.5, 2,5, 1.5, 1.5, 1.5 If you have any more questions just shoot me a PM.

Should long putter be banned?
Personally I don't see the need to ban the mid/long putters for amateurs or pros. If you go for a different set of rules for pros then what happens to those amateurs that occasionally qualify for the Opens or Masters? What is traditional about golf, anyways? Hickory shafts, leather balls stuffed with feathers, tees that are just piles of sand and playing with a long sleeve shirts and a tie, now that's traditional and I'm glad we don't do it. Look at the shape of the Futura, some of the STX putters, Voodoo putters, Big and Baby Ben putters (just to name a few) and compare it to the original blade putters and tell me that those are traditional shapes. So I'm really not buying into the "traditional" argument very well when you look at the positive changed that have happened. Defining anchoring is going to be a chore. What if I choke way down on a 3 wood to chip/punch and the end touches my body during the swing (like I had to do from under the trees last week), was I anchored? The grip of the club is pretty well anchored to your hands when you are swinging. If you try to eliminate a split grip then it gets even more hazy. What about those that currently use the claw as a putting grip? That's a split grip and very untraditional. Ban the belly/long putter and I'll go back to my old SC or maybe just take my money and take up another sport. I'll miss golf if I do because it's the only sport that lets me drink and drive and chases me down with more alcohol while I'm on the course. I wasn't struggling anyways but I'm not doing this professionally so why go back. I think the golf industry will lose a lot of people that found something that kept them coming back every weekend and that's not a good thing to have happen. As long as it's legal I'll keep using mine and do a practice session with my SC every so often.

Help me find Scott Schwade
I feel very fortunate when I read through the posts here. I paypal'd for a Gemini head about 12 days ago and it showed up last Friday. Hope everyone's situation get's resolved because chasing money down long distance can be a real pain in the tuckus.

Most forgiving driver
Another club I have hit is the Cleveland Launcher 460 cc but it's over the size limit. It looks freaking huge at the end of the shaft but I had no problems making consistent contact and found it to be forgiving.
-
Most forgiving driver
I'd say the 355 cc Gemini is easy to hit, too.

need PROJECT X shaft

Dual Wall Tourstage Prototype, X-Drive 2 and MR23 CB's 2005!
Interesting. Even if KZG gets the patent for the double wall tech I suppose it won't matter as much as Tourstage isn't really going after the U.S. market anymore.

Most overrated PGA proffessional current/all time?
Weiskopf! Great choice. He's still bitter about how great he should have been. The only thing that Casper didn't do when he was in the thick with Nicklaus, Player and Palmer was publicity. He was a total family man and gave up quite a bit of the spotlight and the money that went with it. Mickelson - I may have to retract his submission after looking at a lot of the things he's done. Can I resubmit with a Colin Montgomery?

Most overrated PGA proffessional current/all time?
I figured the putting Mickelson down would tweak a few people but it's just my opinion. After all of the hype I read about him playing in college in Arizona he didn't really come out and take off like everyone predicted and his rankings through 2002 were just so-so. In 2004 he's really started to pick up. Heck, just look at the current top ten in the World Golf Rankings: 1. Woods 13.12 2. Singh 10.50 3. Els 9.39 4. Love-III 8.40 5. Mickelson 7.53 6. Weir 6.94 7. Furyk 6.32 8. Harrington 5.25 9. Perry 4.93 10. Goosen 4.92 How many of these are already mentioned as overrated? One more player that really has been overrated since his PGA win has been Rich Beem. If that name had crossed through my empty noggin when I put down Phil then maybe I would have given lefty a pass....Nah, I still think he's overrated. :P

Who has hit the R7?
Regardless of politics this was just priceless. I almost had to clean the coffee off of my keyboard. Have to agree with you there CL , but for me it is diet coke  btw: what is a Republican , wasn't that some kind of aircraft or something like that in WW2 :?: Besides being one of our illustrious political parties I believe Republican was the company that made the old punch card voting machines for the state of Florida.
