From the experience I have had with the ball I did not notice any shredding Mike. These are good balls.

I think they are a great ball. I do not use the Pro V1 or V1x so I cannot compare them to it but I think they are a great ball. A little longer than the Maxfli M3 but about the same as the NXT Tour. I really like the NXT tour because of how soft it feels off of the putter. The UR-X feels a little firmere off of the putter but not too hard that I cannot live it. I will know better when I get it out on the course after the courses around here green up and the greens heal from the aerating.
  3. Considering the greens had been aerated not this past monday but the monday b/4 I could have easily been about 3-4 strokes better (had a few putts that were going in get knocked out of the way when they got around the hole). I guess the wind (15-20mph all damn day) and the wait just got the best of me. I am not going to get down but I do need to get the swing in order. I felt too loose...arms getting away from the body and the swing was getting too long and too quick...past parallel. As you can tell from the signature the Baby Bee will be posted in the B/S/T soon and hopefully it will find a new home that appereciates it. Just too much offset for me and I did not feel like tinkering with the shaft too much since I really like my Monza.

Damn I feel kind of guilty that I got some over christmas for 47.00 for two dozen American dollars. I caught them from golfsmith when they had a code get out. I like the ball. Oh and that included free shipping also. Can't get them for that price now. They are 39.99 a dozen.
  5. How to turn a 78 into an 84: by Alan 1) Be six over going into 16. 2) Take a six (par three) on 16 3) Get pissed and take a 6 (par four) on 320 yard 17. 4) Get a brutal lipout on 18 for par. This was my day today. Needless to say I came a little unglued after the 6. I was hitting the ball pretty good but I am still struggling with keeping my arms part of my body which is leading to some hooks out of the tee box. Had a good day though...the wind was up and 80 would have been a great score. Just aggrevated I haven't had a meltdown like that in a while. Oh well at least the beer is cold.
  6. Guy's I'm fine , just need to sort some things out . As the Governor fo California has been know to say " I'll be back " Mike :) Glad to hear man. Hope you have a good weekend. :D
  7. Just thought we needed to start the weekend on a good note. You may have seen this before but I still think it is funny.
  8. Pete, Have you heard from Mike? If you do let us know.
  9. All right I guess I am going to have to chime in for us southern boys on the board. Yes there are some idiots down here and some gene pools that if you stepped in them you would not get the tops of your feet wet but damnit if I see another word about grits and sweat tea I may have to get a little ill!!
  10. Hey AL PM me your address - I want to send you some two part 5 minute lube - please set the video camera up right before you apply it - I need a real laugh  AK you got me on that one...there is no comeback for that...I am honestly sitting in my chair laughing out loud. After such a bad day at work this is what I needed. Man if we ever all got together to play golf we would not be able to get out of the first tee box...too much laughter.
  11. I don't know about you but I would always prefer IT to feel a little harder. I do think there is a little blue pill for this  . I like the poem AK. The info being passed along in this thread is great. One of my first posts on here was about getting some irons rechromed and it had some great info about the copper/nickel underlay and why it was so important. I just wish it did not get wipped out when the site was down for a few days. I personally could not tell the difference between the Mizuno II's and my 300's.
  12. Well we might need some of AK's lube if we start that up  . Here I go again...must resist the temptation. I think I am going to have to change my avitar....my personality seems to be gravitating towards it. I'll be back later....off to the driving range.
  13. Thanks for the info man and I am off to study the back of my eyelids also.
  14. Thanks AK...looks like I may have to get some lead tape out. I am going to practice on some old beater irons first. How much swingweight change would I be looking at?
  15. Damnit...I need to step away from the keyboard for my own saftey. I am going to shorten them tomorrow. Just a question since I have not done this b/4...all I need to do is measure them and put a mark on the shaft a half inch down and cut. I am using a new metal blade on a compound mitre saw so I shouldn't have any problems right? Thanks for the help
  16. Wow I am in such a smartass mood tonight. Must use caution when posting. I have even made a reference to Beavis and Butthead tonight.
  17. Wow I am in such a smartass mood tonight. Must use caution when posting. I have even made a reference to Beavis and Butthead tonight. I think I will have to edit that one out because the post was trying to be serious.
  18. Sorry about that AK...I guess I should look at the forum a post is in more often. My first post has been edited.

They look almost as good as that honey in your avitar.
  20. huh huh huh (trying my best Butthead impersination)...he said lube. :D On a serious note I would say these: 1) Benefits of checking lofts/lie angles regularly and tipping shafts to different lengths for different results. 2) Shortening my irons a half of inch and the benefits. 3) What to look for if I send some irons in for rechroming (weight of head after and the copper nickel layer)
  21. I honestly play better when there is a little wind 10-15mph max or a little drizzle.I seem to concentrate more than I do when it is beautiful outside. I just find it harder to keep my concentration when it is beautiful outside. This does not happen every time I play when it is beautiful but occasionally I will be out there and don't play worth a s**t and my mind is everywhere but the golf course.
  22. Come on now Pete...I seem to remember you speaking of some "peeler joints" earlier on this same thread. A little pot calling the kettle black :D . Glad you had some good rounds. I have been getting stuck behind the ball and swinging flat. I think I have that worked out but as we all know something else will pop up. I just have to tell myself high hands. I am so envious of Craig Parry right now. He has a sweet ride now thanks to that victory.
  23. Maybe the Tifosi will go out quickly so we can see some others shine. It will be fun for us to watch though.
  24. Yeah I usually record the anyway because I keep the volume down and it is very easy to go to sleep with the volume low listening to those engines. Last year for both Canada and US I went and played golf b/4 the races so that is nice. I wonder what the Baharin track is like? I think I hear the range calling me sometime today.
  25. www.uselessgraphics.com Someone else mentioned this site when they were talking about animated graphics and I saw mutley on there and had to use him. I had to update the occupation also on my info page. I would have to get up at 7:00am to watch the races...guess the east coast is better for those European stops. The pic is at my grandmothers next door so it is just a matter of going and getting it.
