HI, For me, having played 2 but tried all 3, the Premia is the softest feeling head of all 3. That is down to the different face material to the ones in the D1 and V-Spec. It says the premia is long but I believe that is very much largely due to the increased overall length (46.5) that the Premia is designed to play to and not just the face material. I played the V-Spec and now the D1 and find both to feel rather similar. I will advise very very strongly that unless you are a very strong and fast swing speed player, to get a 10.5* and not lower as the V-Spec and D1 are relatively lower launching and very low spinning heads. Playing too low a loft may result in you not be able to generate enough spin consistently. I and I believe quite a few others in this forum had that result with 9.5* heads. Then there are the ST non-conforming heads. If you are comfortabel with a non-conform, then this is supposed to give added distance. My belief here however is to get the added distance even with non-conform heads, you must still be able to nut it on the sweet spot. Costs' a bit more and if you are above 105 mph (I think) SS, this may not be for you as the face may nt be able to take that hammering over time. You are asking for specific swing types.. if I had to generalize, I would say if you are a fast swinger (105 mph and above) then a V-Spec or D1 in 9.8 or below may suit but if not I would recommend any of the heads but in 10.5*. As mentioned above, for a softer feeling, the Premia is better. They also come in a variety of face angles and you can read about that in the Proshop. What I think you will find if you have the right combo is that the Ryoma could be the most consistent (not the outright longest but not far behind) forgiving fairway finder. My fairway hit percentage I would say has improved tremendously. Of course you will still miss a couple of fairways here and there but this is by far the most forgiving driver for me. Finally, its not just about the head. If you;re wiling to pay the moolah for a technologically advanced design head, do not forget about the shaft. You need to experiment and find the shaft that suits you and this head the best. That unfortunately is not easy and costly. Good luck. P.S. There are "fake" Ryoma heads out there now so be careful.
  2. Just ordered the Mono 3 Style 1... Retailer tells me made in Japan but I know not who forges his putters for him now. SUS303, 354 gram head weight. Looks good to my eye so lets see how it goes..
  3. Hi, I have a 5-PW set coming out of a Romaro in Stiff flex if interested.
  4. A healthy festive season to all!
  5. I seen and felt these at my friend's golf shop and was neutral to it. I am very comfortable with the Iomics as well.

I have a copper Epon Technity X Wedge 52 degree that I can bend to 50 for you and do head only if interested.
  7. That's fair. For ME, their past few drivers have been misses. Just me of course.
  8. Actually, this works very well to extend revenue and used to be known as line extensions in old school marketing speak. This happens a lot in the watch industry as well much to my chagrin. Take a look at Panerais, Hublots and AP Royal Oak Offshores (no offence to owners), different colored so called limited editions for every significant and insignificant moment but mechanically, no change at all because buyers of such tome pieces tend not to be movement motivated but perhaps more trend motivated? But it works and sells. We are more hard core JDM guys so no surprise this does not appeal to us but it will appeal to the less hard core and those looking to get some of the famed Epons. I donlt like it but if I were an executive at Epon with revenue KPIs, I'd do this. The previous re-ed must have worked well for them to continue this trend.
  9. Regardless of which you choose, I would hold on to the 302s. There could be the last of the non-reedition Epons :-) Merry Christmas!

When you say custom lofts meaning they wil specially make a say 54 instead of taking a stock 57 and bending it to 54? All the new lofts and bounce for JDM wedges don;t seem to be what I want which is why my wedges are still the older models.
  11. Yup. More a players cavity.
  12. I'm not sure if these re-releases does Epon;s premium image any good. Also, are they running out of ideas?

    Don't need this anymore
  14. I don;t think you are comparing apples to apples with the H and the AF Tours. You should compare the AF Tours to RomaRo's Blades.
  15. My set will probably only come in after the new year so sorry I can't give first hand experience as of now.
  16. 3 more days on this Christmas deal.
  17. Great info! Thanks for the effort and post!
  18. Hello.. when will you arrive? PM me your contact and hotel and we can meet for you to take a look at it. Your first trip to SG?
  19. Thanks for chiming in. Do you know where his putters are forged and who does it for him?
  20. Yup. I noticed that too. Thing is, in the dubious sites, all the H sets offered have no star so I guess perhaps best to err on the safe side and get a set with the star?
  21. Hi Vega, I really can't say as I don;t know how Kamui terms them but as I was telling a couple of PM enquiries, although this seems to be a draw setup, for me at least, I never did hit one ball left with this. Good shots were straight or a very slight push maybe 5 yards right of target. So perhaps in this case, the draw setup is counter balanced by the square to slightly open face. THe few great shots were straight and very long. Bad shots with this were high power fades but not crazy slices. In this case, it's clearly the Indian and not the arrow LOL. To give a comparo, I can draw my D1 much easier than I can this head so anyone who wants to take left side out, I guess this does that.
  22. You and me my friend! I usually use this as the silly season to test cubs and by next year, I'll usually stick to the same clubs for the rest of the year no mater what new stuff comes out and just focus on the game. But it's christmas, we work hard and we only live once! :-) And wouldnt you like to see if this or the KP-X is the best for you from Kamui......
