  1. I got the ferrules from Grail Golf off ebay. The color is less red than it actually is. The FEX is a great shaft and I've come to find that I am most comfortabe with 50 plus gram shafts. While I am getting along just fine with the TJ46 in my D1, I find FEX shafts feel better than Crazy's in general for me and I have hit quite a few Crazys from the LY series to the RD to the 80Ts to the new Protos.
  2. Hi All, Am looking for suggestions for my new Black Widow Project. My White Mamba (JBeam 435 White with Crazy RD La Bomba) has touched down in Australia enroute to her new owner and I am now gaming my Ryoma D1 with Crazy TJ46 which is working very very well... ...but I miss the excitement and all out distance of the 435 and am toying with building a new driver if anything just for fun. The grip (black Iomic), ferrules (to match shaft color scheme) and shaft are decided and that will be the Quadra FEX 55 which I get along with well. So suggestions for a head with the following in mind is very welcome: 1. Must be a black head 2. 460 or slightly smaller will be ok but not overly small like a 400cc 3. Known for distance as I have my safety setup in the D1 already 4. Although going all out for distance, to not be super unforgiving or less forgiving than the 435. Something longer and as forgiving as the D1 will be perfection :-) 5. I'm not a super fast hitter and am more of a swinger so I think the super hard faces meant for faster more aggressive golfers like the K-PX or the new Jbeam 435R will be out of the equation. 6. Need to stay away from higher launching and spinning heads as given my less than perfect swing, I impart a lot of spin. The other extreme is not super low spin as well. As a guide, I struggled to get enough spin consistently with a V-Spec 9.5* paired with a Crazy LY-02. 7. Conforming heads only. 8. Not another Ryoma so V-Spec out of the running. Based on the above I have 2 possible shortlist from my reading which are: 1. Romaro 460HX Black 10* 2. Get back a 435 but this time a Black Crazy 435 in 10* as I found the 435 105 can be just a tad high for me. Your educated suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  3. Are cubans (cigars and women LOL) easily had on the US nowadays or some clandestine op is still required to get them. Several years back, I was advised to remove the labels form the Serie Ds I was bringing into the US and was told to declare them as Macanudos.
  4. I've bought fro them before. Never seen this design though. GLWS bump.
  5. Cool ferrules. Who makes them if you don't mind divulging.
  6. On some o the Japanese sites, I see them on all and on other sites on none. Even on Romaro's site, it seems there is one with a star and one without... http://www.romaro-sports.com/product/clubs/iron/ray_H/index.html
  7. I just noticed on some Japanese sites that for the H irons, some have a white 4 pointed star on the back towards the heel and some don't. Are there 2 different types of H models?
  8. Well I won't call the look pure but nonetheless very nice and with you scratch handicap, anything will have great forgiveness.... LOL
  9. I believe Hocko has (had?) a 9* 460HX black for sale head only. I have seen these heads (not hit them though) in person and they look very very nice.
  10. Potuna and Yourpressed, How would you rate the H forgiveness and softness wise over the Epon 301s if you have played these?
  11. Sounds like how I define my D1. Good to hear this is working for you.
  12. Well shafted and for a good condition 5-P used set, they were going for about 20% less than the price of new HEADs only here. Not a great price but not overly exorbitant as they were shafted. Thaniya is great once in a while but really, its maybe only 6 or 7 shops out of the 4 floors tat attract for JDM freaks. If you're into normal TM, Titty, Cali type stuff, then yes, the whole place is candy land.
  13. When I do, it's usually a Partagas Serie D. A very underated robust imo and close to and sometimes better (batch dependent) than the opt overrated Cohiba Robusto which is very good but overrated I feel.
  14. I'm really tempted by these as well. I held these in Bangkok and they look really nice. Very little to no offset. Pity the shop did not have an indoor range for me to hit them. Also, I'm really too used to my Technica Pro Is and have 2 sets of these...
  15. a 20% off deal and free ship will make the 460HX very tempting to try :-)
  16. Possibility of Romaro stuff being added?

I have a ltd ed Gauge Design A1SP with a Fujikura putter shaft with original gauge grip and headcover if interested.
  18. The ad mentioned the possibility of some other stuff being added on so just wondering if there will be...
  19. Yup... this thing is loud. I'm reading on some Japanese blogs as well that this is perhaps for the harder faster golfer.
  20. arghhhhh...... dont say that.... I just sold my 435.....

No one for the NS Pro 750 shafts? They are great performing and feeling shafts.
  22. I agree and I have or had both and am familiar with them which is why I am trying to use these 2 as a benchmark to see where the 460HX black will fit as I can't demo the 460HX Blk.
