Someone posted some in another thread I think on some ali site that sold fake romaros, epons and even Ryomas. Question for Ryoma guys, do the Ryoma heads (V-Spec, D1 and Premia) have any serials laser etched on the hosel or somewhere and if so, what is the format e.g.. 2A345678C? Also, the screw.. are all silver in color even for the VSpec? I do recall seeing some pics here where the screw is a darker grey/black color. Just want to know if there are visual cues to help identify geniune/fakes.

    In what sense?
  4. Hi, What's the head weight please?
  5. wmclarenf1 replied to idrive's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs

I was just emailing with Quadra on this. Interesting that for the Egg I+ 19*, they recommend that their FW shafts do NOT require tipping for the 19* and then 0.5 inch for 21* etc. I'm getting along well with Quadra shafts and am toying with the idea of a FEX FW shaft to replace the Crazy Super LIght iron shaft in my Egg I+.
  7. Hi Pete, have you hit the Epon Technica Pro Is or the 301s? If yes, how do the H irons compare to these 2 Epons? Thanks.
  8. I will vouch for the quality and playability of this set. I have 2 sets of the Technica Pro Is and I swear, they are as good or better than any current and new offerings out there for me. GLWS bump.
  9. Thanks for the pics idrive! The SDJs look to have a lot more leading and trailing edge relief. Do they look like they have more bounce on them? I still really like my Epon Technica Pro Is which I have 2 sets of (copper and satin chrome) but if there are any sets really tempt me, it would be these SDJs or the Romaro H irons. Thanks again. I will need to try to find a place to try the SDJs.

Who makes this for Epon? Bridgestone?

Hi, The shafts you listed and their flexes are for faster and harder hitting golfers. I do not think the head itself is only for faster swingers especially off the tee which from what I read, is what this new head as apparently developed to address. with the previous Egg, SOME had issue with the very thin profile and lighter weight off the tee. Just pair the HD up with a shaft and flex that suits you and you should be good to go. I have not hit the HD but imagine this to be the case.
  12. HI, Run a search with Kamui. Quite a bit of info comes up.
  13. Thanks. HAve you played the Epon 301 or Technica Pro Is? If yes, can you share more on how these play vis-a-vis the Epons please.
  14. Have only heard about their wedges. Anyone played and still playing these irons? How are these compared to say Epon 301s in terms of hosel offset, top line and sole width? Forgiveness?
  15. It's different for my Technica Pro Is. I have 2 sets - one in copper and one in satin chrome finish. Both are setup with same length, model and flex of shafts, grips and swing weight. As far as these 2 are concerned, the copper definitely feels softer to hit BUT the satin chrome while feeling a tad firmer on contact, spins more than the copper set.
  16. Interesting. Didn;t know that. Wonder if this gel thing will harden over time ... but that is not a concern for you seeing how you like to change stuff :-)
  17. Does the 502 have some new cutting edge technology? What is it? Frank, Glad that you are enjoying your new toys.

Unfortunately, there are sites selling fake Epons and even Romaros now.

Quadra wedge shaft sold. Thanks TSG. NS Pro 75 shafts and Miura heads left. Anyone?
  20. Your avatar is a legend. Best in his day bar none. I think Messi is the only one since then that could unseat him as all time best.
  21. I think that may still be model specific.

Anyone? THE NS Pros are in great shape and a fair price for NS Pros most expensive (?) shafts. And you get some Iomics as well which come at $15 a grip (?). And this is a great opportunity to try the Quadra Wedge shaft at a really knock down price.

  24. I think the RD in the Ryoma is a good match due to the lower launch and spin characteristic of the Ryoma heads. If only the RD was better dispersion wise, it would be a great shaft. Compared to the LY02, I find the RD feels much better and less dead than the LY-02. It could be down to weight of the shaft and torque I thought but then I tried the FEX which is in a similar weight category and and slightly less torque than the LY02 and it plain feels and outperforms for me. I know there are a lot of Crazy fans here but I have tried a few different models of Crazy shafts and with the exception of the RD, they seem to have a dead feel to me relative to the FEX. Just me of course and feel is very individual and subjective. LY02 is described as a mid kick shaft while FEX 55 is described as low kick but I find that the FEX55 launches a tad lower which is my liking and seems to have a stiffer tip which I like as well. As I mentioned earlier, the FEX is just a lot tighter for me dispersion wise but not shorter on average than the LY02. I have also hit some of my longest drives ever with the FEX 435 combo.
  25. Have you tried the Quadra FEX? I find that much better than the Crazy RD and LY02 both of which I have owned and played. the FEX is a more stable and consistent shaft I find with a tighter dispersion and no distance loss.
