  1. So what improvements have you seen compared to the AF?
  2. Why so few shaft options listed in the Proshop for the 901?
  3. Bogeydog, Any additional comments after 2 months of play since the initial review? Still in the "bag"?
  4. I would be interested in hearing some comparisons between the super peenings versus the 1150's also. Any reason the super peenings aren't listed in the proshop? May be interested in picking up a set just to try.
  5. I recommend you take a look at the Yamaha iff Tour.....great FW imo!!
  6. This wedge is in excellent condition! New Price....$150 Shipped in the U.S.
  7. LSeca, I measure the face height of the Yamaha at around 3.4 cm and the SF206 at around 3.2 cm. From the view in the playing position, they look almost identical...just a bit deeper face with the Yamaha. The face width is very close. If you liked the look of the SF206, you'll like the i.f.f. To my eye, the SF206 may be a bit closed where the i.f.f. is definitely square. May not make much difference, but I prefer the score lines look of the i.f.f. Let me know if you have any other questions or if I could add more.
  8. No longer have the Epon, but the face height on the Yamaha is around 3.4 cm.

The MTI feels really soft too....the JPGA players seem to really like it.
  10. Anyone that is in the market for a new fairway wood....I would highly suggest you take a look at the Yamaha Tour Model. I've had one for about of month and it has been an excellent performer. I've been searching for a fairway wood for the last couple of years and have hit a bunch with different shaft combinations. The Yamaha has won on the combination of feel and performance. A few of the fairway woods that I tried in the past 2 years. Epon Technity (Stock and GD QT) - ok performer, a little too muted for me, hit it really high off the tee. Srixon Z-Steel - (Stock) Good performance, good trajectory, great looks, a little metallic feel. Could easily play this one but would need to replace the stock shaft. PRGR M3 Hit (Stock and GD PT) - Did not like the feel, too shallow for me. TaylorMade R7 TP (Stock and Fuji Pro 95) - Played for about a year with the Fuji Pro95. Good performance and trajectory, a bit metallic feel. Fourteen SF206 (Epic) - Good look, muted but good feel, one that I could easily play. Royal Collection Type H (Fuji 757 and Code 8) - another solid performer, always liked the looks and feel of RC's. Another I could easily play but something was missing. Above is just a sampling of the ones I tried/played....quite a few USDM fairways too (Titleist, Nike, Callaway, etc.) The Yamaha wins out for me...all around solid performance, feel, trajectory. This is with the Stock shaft, which is lighter than I normally play. I purchased thinking I would immediately replace the shaft, I'm glad I didn't, it's working well. I liked the 14 degree so much, I ordered the 17*.....must be popular, it's back-ordered!
  11. New Price ---- $165 shipped in the U.S.

Anyone have pictures of the PW and/or 9 iron of the 247's in the "playing" position? Also, same as above for the Onoff Plus. Thanks!
  13. Did the 247's ever show up?
  14. Differences between the GR Black irons versus the current GR irons?
  15. I have no idea who makes the Yamaha.......who? It sets up square to maybe a degree open. Feels "solid", if you like the Royal Collection feel, you'll love the feel of the Yamaha. Similar feel but more solid imo. I'll put together a more detailed review soon. Until then ----- Who makes the Yamaha?
  16. Epon driver is outstanding, but the absolute best new club that I put in my bag is the Yamaha IFF Tour Model Fairway wood. I been searching for a fairway wood for what seems like years (tried a lot, including the EPON AF/Technity), the search ended with the Yamaha.
  17. For sale is a 58 degree Cool Design MTI Type D Wedge. Stock Dynamic Gold Shaft. Now On Grip. Very good condition. Only use has been chipping around the green, never in the bag. $165 shipped in the U.S. (others please PM for shipping)
  18. Anyone have pictures of the 247 short irons in the playing position that they could post?
  19. Any comments on the sole grind of the 247's?....I've always found the Japan Miura's "dug" quite a bit for me, leading edge just too sharp in anything but hard conditions.
  20. Randy, Could you expand a little bit on the offset of the 3 models? which has more, less, progressive, etc. Thanks!
  21. Has anyone ever figured out the differences between the CB247 and the CB202?
  22. Randy, First of all, thank you for taking the time to post your reviews and pictures. One question, when you say the following: "but OnOff Irons have a little to much going on compared to the other two sets." Are you referring to the cavity or in the playing position? Thanks again, very much appreciated and extremely helpful.
  23. OK! How about this.....Which has the deeper face height, the AF101 or the TS 445? Thanks!
  24. Anyone have the face height on the 445?

ICE, Tells us more...you are the first I've heard that have them. Did you get a full set or just short irons? Comparison with the S58's?
