  1. Don't necessarily know if I would put an iron shaft in a hybrid, however I am leaning towards a 95g hybrid shaft.
  2. Well gocchin, you'd better track down that driver and give us a report. Just as amatter of interest, do you know what shaft is in it??
  3. There is a lot at work here. Creativity Imagination Pride in one's work and company The wedge is beautiful. Congratulations to every one involved with the production.
  4. Man, besides having a great bag, I'm guessing photography is also at least a hobby, if not a profession. GREAT photos!!
  5. Great bag. As usual Carlton has done a great job on the grinds.

When do we see the photos of plus1s new set??

Hey plus 1, welcome back man. Well what can I say. I bought a Chikara 57*. The club is like a laser. These wedges are the best ever!! I played Magenta Shores today (check it out on the web) and the short chips and sand shots were nothing short of brilliant. Put a set of Roddio shafts in your Gauge Hand Mades. ... the rest is up to you, but I know you are going to come up with some great stuff.
  8. Great bag!! Like yourself and others I love my Chikara 57*......definetly worth the wait. BTW good job on the pond, if you are ever down under......
  9. I have the 57* Chikara and love it. I also carry a 52* Bettinardi and love it as well (although I am considering the Chikara 52*) I'm just interested in a little more information as to why Scratch is the way to go with the 56*, but Chikara with the 60*.
  10. Man, 2 clubs is huge in my view. ....does Roddio make UT shafts?? If you have them in your long irons you would need them in your UTs as well.
  11. The stuff that Bettinardi does under his own label are QUALITY!! Another beautiful putter from a beautiful stable.
  12. Whilst this link has been posted before, its an absolute beauty in my opinion.
  13. Do you know the cpm on the Diamana shaft?
  14. Interesting point you make with the hybrids. I have the stock Nippon 950 in mine, however it is the wrong shaft. I was thinking along the lines of replacing it with a GD 95 hybrid. I'm really interested in the difference the BG has made as the 950 feels weak to me.
  15. The custom set quoted by Chris would be awesome. If anyone can do it, TSG can do it.
  16. There is absolutely no doubt about the quality of the Mizuno product, nor in my view has there been in the last twenty years. The 57s are a good addition, to a good stable. Would it be fair to say Mizuno has increased the frequency of their product release? It seems in the last year we have had the 60, 67, 100 and now the 57. That said they are ALL very good. Could be some very interesting combo sets created out of all of this.
  17. Geoff Ogilivy played Royal Melbourne with mates not long after he won the US Open. On that day, he used a persimmon driver and 3 wood and had the time of his life shaping shots with those clubs. Metal woods simply can't do this....at least to the same degree. Bobby Jones also had a perfectly matched set except for his 8 iron which he disliked. The game has certainly evolved as technology has come to the forefront. An interesting observation I have made over the years is that "rogue" clubs in a tour pros bag tend to be Japanese. Norman's Maurman 3 wood, Nicklaus was carrying a Mizuno 3 wood last time I saw him, albeit he has his own club line etc etc I think the process with tour clubs, is similar to in the old days trying to find an old McGregor persimmon driver. Half the fun is trying to find it in the first place, the other half is the way it feels and performs with the right shaft. Technology has certain come a long way, however the "search / feel" thing has been going on for hundreds of years. TSG is a partner in the search for that unique club / clubs that feel good and make the player feel good. Long may it prosper.
  18. Good lookin bag gocchin. Pity you're a mod and can't enter the contest, you'd definetly have a shot at it.
  19. "A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work" Man, take the day off and go and test those babies. .....and then the next day so you can post your results
  20. Well Leo the leader, what's the number?? Congratulations mate on your birthday, you're a champion!!
  21. cpm accurately measures the stiffness of a shaft. The manufacturers of shafts do not have a common standard in relation to stiffness. One manufacturers stiff is another's regular. The best way to match a shaft to your swing is to know your swing speed and the cpms that match your swing speed. The interesting question gentlemen is what is the cpm readings for the various Roddio driver shafts?? I know this will vary from clubhead to clubhead, but best guess at this stage would be good.
  22. It would definetly help as Jack's DTs don't help his chipping.
  23. Redback Wheat Beer, Matilda Bay Brewery, Australia. (after that Jack and Coke)
