  1. Most of us need more lessons. I guess at a very fundamental level human beings tend to fall back into the old bad habits. My coach I've had for thirty years. Of course I only go and see him when I'm playing really bad. The routine has changed much. "Get your hands ahead at address". I pay the money. I go to the range and hit em like tiger. I go play great while I'm concentrating on what he has told me. Then I forget and we start again. ......... but I'm sure if I bought a new set of custom irons I would play great ALL the time :tsg_smilie_wink: I guess most of us would just to like to remove the golf club variable from the equation (as well as getting some bling bling from having a great set) You can play great in front of your buddies, but you generally speak to them about your new graphite shaft, that you bought in Tibet from a Himilayan Monk, that was blessed by the Dala Lami.
  2. Honest opinion. I like D6 Wedges, so no good for me either!
  3. Chris, are you still using 1150s?? How does the M266V compare?? Pros and cons??
  4. I could never take the sugar out of mine. The days when the putter runs hot it is just unbelievable. The only thing to compare is to turn the clock back thirty years, when you expected to make everything.
  5. Any update on the driver report??
  6. Bag and head covers :tsg_smilie_cool: :tsg_smilie_cool:
  7. "Old blue eyes" is a nice touch. We share a common love of the Mizuno product :tsg_smilie_cool:
  8. Well life's tough for Chris :tsg_smilie_confused: So many beautiful clubs to choose from and only one set is allowed to go to the course!! Like all others, I look forward to the review :tsg_smilie_cool:
  9. Mate, just contact Chris (Tour Spec Golfer) or Ari (Fairway Fred) on this site and they will look after you.
  10. .....the saga continues. It would be interesting to know what sort of business volumes Whitlam does compared to Gauge Japan. :tsg_smilie_confused:
  11. This is why we all love this site...nothing escapes the eagle eye of TSG. Great clubs (but would you expect anything less) :tsg_smilie_cool:
  12. Chris have you tested this club at this stage and if so is it a chance to make your bag??
  13. Very, very cool and may I say reasonably priced :tsg_smilie_cool: :tsg_smilie_cool:
  14. Another quality product :tsg_smilie_cool: However there are a number of quality products on the site. Ah......so many clubs......so little time.
  15. If possible the pictures would be good :tsg_smilie_cool:
  16. :tsg_smiley_embarrassed: Fair enough!!
  17. Simply a classic, like everything else Mizuno :tsg_smilie_cool: Chris, are you sure it was 1991 these came out. The only reason I'm quering the date is because I purchased my MP11s in 1992. That said, they are beauties regardless.
  18. I recently acquired a Honma Twin Marks Dual Attack 15* wood. The Dual Attack is a combination of a fairway wood and a utility club. The club itself is probably 5 or 6 years old, and may have been the pioneer of the utility clubs we have today. The head shape at address is to die for. That said, when I first took it out to play, the regular Doric shaft was very ordinary and the headweight was just too light. Truthfully I didn't think much of the performance of the club. Of course not to be deterred I saw the local clubmaker, who is very good, and got him to put in an Accra shaft I had lying around, and knock the swingweight up from C8 to a solid D2. Well holy moly, this thing now absolutely rocks. It goes miles and miles and straight. The feel at impact now is just unreal. It might be an oldie, but with a bit of tinkering, this has now become the gamer. ......just wanted to share the good news :tsg_smilie_cool:
  19. :tsg_smilie_cool: The heads look very good!!
  20. My view is the sole and the face look class. Don't like the hi-bore concept in general. I think it cheapens a good looking club. Just my 2 cents worth.
  21. :tsg_smilie_cool: Should be more of this!!
  22. Didn't really matter, THOSE irons won the US Open :tsg_smilie_cool: :tsg_smilie_cool:
  23. :tsg_smilie_cool: Keep up the good work!! :tsg_smilie_cool: Those Mizuno wedges look like real beauties!!
  24. Some terrific bags. The equipment is really interesting. If I had unlimited :tsg_smilie_money3: there is something I would buy out of each of those bags!! Keep up the good work!! :tsg_smilie_cool:
