you're kidding right? if it's a marketing tool they should summarily fire their entire marketing department. what kind of marketing tool is, 'we have secret versions clubs that we only make available to tour players to trick you into buying the retail version. we give these clubs to people on ebay who tell you that what we sell in the stores is crap! AND we don't hardly make a dime on the tour issue black market!!! we're just hoping you don't use the internet and will never figure out the difference. thanks for your order.' i agree that tourspecgolfer's is an interesting question though - i'm not surprised about the onesy twosey deals coming from caddies and reps, but places that have large quantities of the stuff - i gotta wonder who's cutting those deals at taylormade. Pick up an R500 and pick up your favorite persimmons and go hack some balls. If you cant tell hands down the R5 is better than maybe you would have better luck at bowling. Sorry to be harsh but this is just silly. Sure pros's play some clubs b/c they are paid to, but not all. Look at all the out of production FW's in play.

I am thinking of buying one of these gaming systems. The only reason I am getting on is b/c I want to play TW '04, but I am sure I'll broaden my horizon's once I own it. I like mainly sports games with the ocasional adventure type games thrown in. Which one do you guys think would be better.

I hit my old persimmion about 200 on a good swing, my 983K is 250 carry. as far as the loft changing we also have to look at the lengths in relation to the lofts. We find these loft increase most in clubs who are aimed at high handicappers, often labled as "game improvers". These clubs are designed to minmize the amount of side spin placed on the ball and help it get airborn. So provided that the clubs live up to thier billing in the two catagories I jsut mentioned, then all the user has to do is get the club to the ball. so as long as the golfer makes solid contact the club will take care of the rest... So how does the OEM make it easier to get the clubhead on the ball. They make the shaft shorter. but now that the shaft is shorter the ball will not go as far so what do they do? They increase the loft. And since the clubhead design descreases side spin and helps the ball get into the air already the increase in loft will not effect the playability. I think that these changes aren't spurred to make you buy more wedges. If this was the case why would callaway, TM, or others be doing this when they know buy forcing us to buy wedges they are just lining the pockets of Cleveland and Titliest who control almost all of the marketshare in wedges?

well it all depends on what is in his driver too. maruwana: it may be helpful to list your current driver set-up, and the type of results (dist. & flight) you are getting with it. This will give the shaft guru's here a better chance at prescribing the correct cure.

I am not familiar with the two clubs however if I remember correctly neither are bore through so the difference should not be too drastic. However you will need to make some adjustments... probably no more than .25" in either direction.

I have a 47* Scratch wedge, I was thinking of going with the 46 b/c I had cally's back then. While I was ordering I picked up the TM's and switched to 47.

no chip in yet for me either... although I only have one scratch wedge. I did get a chip in with my vokey sw while I was in GA, so maybe the vokey loaned some mojo from the scratch on that shot.

The comment was that I get sick everytime I smoke a cigar but I always get talked into smoking one. So I really can't be the judge of any quality cause I only remember whether I got light headed or I full out puked. Damn you peer pressure!!! The Cohiba didn't make me sick, just woozy... but I only smoked half of it. If I would have smoked it all I would have been looking at lunch in the bottom of the bowl. you cigar experts ever come across this? Maybe its cause I am usually pretty liquired up when the cigars come out... or maybe its just a low tolerance to nicotien... but I smoke cigarettes like a fiend so I don't get it. I really wish I could get into cigars. It seems similar to golf in that its an activity that can also open up a lot of doors.
