  1. I did the same kinda thing last weekend... except it was how to turn an 82 into a 93... Par 3 8th... took 3 tries to get out of the sand and then 2 putted. I killed my whole round the back 9 was just terrible. The good thing about it was we went back and replayed the first 9 and I parred it so I got my evengence.

  4. adios Mike... I'll try to hold things down while you are gone... What the hell happen here ? Are we stuck with just a ball and no bat ? 8O Come on now ! :!: ;argue Knock it off :!: well someone else is going to have to step up big time or else this place is going to get really slow... I'm not going to be able to post from the 20 to the 27th. 8O Nor sure what you guys are doing or why there has been a lost of respect between the two of you - but it just brings the entire board down. By the way - I guess next weekend will be pretty dead - I am gone on a trip to do some fly fishing. I don't know what your talking about but thier are no lost feelings... I think mike was just signing off before his trip... at least I hope there are no hard feelings???

  10. All I could say is if we do SW Michigan lets do it the weekend after Labor day plus a couple of days - rates fall to nothing, for lodging and golf. Weather is the best - and if you want you have enough day light to go 36. :D :D Lastly - if we have a fourseome and you want to spend the $$ I think I can get us on the Dunes Course, New Buffalo - (Mr. Kaiser's first creation) see Bandon dunes. Unfortunatly that would be a very bad time for me :( Have way too much already on the plate on and after Labor day weekend . Would have to pick another time of the year , but then it might not be good for everybody else . I know from experience how hard it is to get one of these off the ground . It's not very easy thats for sure . :( But don't give up hope for one yet I'm sure between the 4 of us we can come up with a time and a place for a TSG summit :) Yeah it shouldn't be too hard for me to get a free weekend... I don't really care where it is I just want to add another state to my list of places I have played... so no GA, SC, NJ, NY, or PA. To bad we couldn't make a week long get together in like Vegas . That would be like way cool dude's . Then we would also have chainsaw with us. Maybe some more if there are any in the area . The only problem being I probably wouldn't be able to afford to come home.

  12. Yeah its just a different kinda slime that lives up North... the South has thier Rednecks and the North has thier White Trash. I just like picking on the south b/c my girlfriend is Georgia born and raised.
  13. Was this for me ? I hope Al does not read this. If so Roses are red violets are blue Yes my TM's feel softer with dowels too. oh no... stick to golf buddy stick to golf!!!
  14. Hey AL PM me your address - I want to send you some two part 5 minute lube - please set the video camera up right before you apply it - I need a real laugh  AK you got me on that one...there is no comeback for that...I am honestly sitting in my chair laughing out loud. After such a bad day at work this is what I needed. Man if we ever all got together to play golf we would not be able to get out of the first tee box...too much laughter. a TSG convention is definitly on the list of must do's!!!
  15. so does it feel softer ... please describe as best possible with out going poetic on us.
  16. now that you say it... the sound of my K changed when I went to the pro lite... Joe: did you go full insert or did you blind bore it a bit? if you didn't fully insert itthat could seriously affect the resonance of the head Shaft is untipped and inserted 1.75 inches. I don't think so, unless there is a hollow spot. Even that I would hardly believe it. The hard proof is when you change from graphite to a steel shaft, this will definitely louder. Joe Oh you went from Steel to Graphite... yeah huge difference... but I still think the insertion depth would effect the sound. its the difference between two contact points and one. If you strike a cymbal on different sides at the same time it will not sound as loudly as when it sounds when struck only once.
  17. the .5g tolerance is post tooling I assume... its still pretty impressive either way... excessive? yes but a good marketing tool. anyhow I don't think Muria is anymore special than any other forger. I am willing to put my entire bag on the line if someone can tell a Muria 300 from an Endo just from hitting. As I said before I believe feel comes from sound... resonance... and anyone who has every struck a bell can tell you size and shape have more to do with sound than who made it. If you don't like Titleist irons its probably because of the design not because of where they are made. I think its cool to know who does the forging but to let it dictate your club choice is foolish. The .5 gram tolerance is for a finished head, and when you consider the inexactness of the plating process it's even more impressive. I'll take you up on that challenge, but I'm not putting my CB1005s on the line! Now, if you had prefaced that with "just from hitting... with earplugs" I'm not sure 99% of us could tell the difference. I agree with you, feel is based primarily on sound... ...so I guess my Miura's sound softer than any other brand! well if your not willing to put your clubs on the line where is the fun... I have hit the Muria 300's and mine side by side and I could hear no difference or feel no difference. The real test is to hit a bunch of the same clubs with different shafts... Rifles tend to make a club feel softer than DGs. I bet Ak has some of the softest feeling 300's around with that wooden dowl in the shaft... I bet that has a much greater effect than the forger.

  20. perhaps it had something to do with the way Joe adjusted the swingweight... or perhaps you are just catching it on the screws. When I am hit my driver on the screws its pretty freaking loud. You'll learn to love the thunder when your booming it past your friends.

  24. as I probably mentioned in the thread Mike linked to I suffer from this problem as well... don't worry you don't have to send me anything I know what it looks like and what it does. Here is what helps me over come it. 1.) play in a tight jacket... if you have an old dinner jacket or blazer go and hit a few balls in it. It will keep your swing short... very short. You will see that you can hit the ball just as far or farther with a short swing. 2.) Slow down your back swing. Most of the people with our problem have it b/c thier backswing is so fast that they can't stop the club at the top. Remember you hit the ball with the down swing the backswing just puts you in a position from where you can strike the ball. 4.) focus on keeping your hips still in your backswing. Unless you are incredibly flexible you are probably also over rotating your hips to give you that extra length in your backswing. If you keep your hips still (or relatively still) your shoulders will not be able to over rotate. 5.) turn your left elbow in. once you stop over rotating the shoulders you'll have a tendency to break down the left arm. Turning in your elbow will keep it ridgid. 6.) play heavy clubs. I am talking static weight here not swing weight. I have found playing heavier clubs lets me feel where the club is in the swing more than a lighter one. Us over swingers tend to prefer heavier sahfts b/c of this. This is one reason Tiger plays steel.
  25. http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/South/03/11/mil...g.ap/index.html If you lived where I do you would then know why I believe this lady really thought it was a million dollar bill. Actually I need to get me a few of those... I could make a killing.
