Japanese Market For Clubs
I seem to ask this same question every few months but in different ways to better undertand the Japanese market for clubs (my never ending quest). The question came about again after I listened to some media running on the Japan Callaway site for the Legacy Driver. The only english speaking video is from a Callaway Tech guy saying the Legacy Driver is specifically designed for the Japanese market. My question would be what makes a specific club designed and marketed only for a specific market, in this case, Japan. Who makes these stupid decisions and why do they think a club would only sell well in one market? Gocchin?

The Trend of "too stiff"
Changing the topic slightly, my question is if one has a flex that is too soft and as the result, hitting the ball too high, is that corrected by getting a stiffer flex or is it corrected by getting a higher kickpoint on the shaft??

TOURSTAGE clothing??
I have been told that Japan sizes are different to USA size charts. So if I am a size small or medium, what would that be in a Japan size?

Grips - My woman-esque hands / recommendations
Hey Gocchin...along the same line, can you or anyone else tell us what the standard J spec grip is versus the standard US grip? Don't know what the measurements would be but I am sure you can advise!! Thanks.

PRGR M3 Hit Tour Fairway Woods- First Impressions
After a few weeks of hitting these clubs, I can state this is by far the best fairway woods I have hit to date especially the 3 wood. Use to think a 3 wood was a hard club to hit as I have always kept a 4 wood in my bag but I can say when hit, this club rocks! Very easy to hit. Really like the 2 degree flatter angle on these clubs. Since I am not that tall, I think the flatter angle helps me hit the ball more in the center of the face. I would recommend these to anyone thinking of getting some new woods.

Graphite Design Tour AD MD Series
Would like to get some feedback on this shaft. Interested in getting this as an upgrade to the stock Callaway speed axis shaft that is also designed by GD for the Legacy Driver. I know the stock shaft is lighter but would like to see if anyone can compare the shafts for performance. Thanks for any comments.

PRGR Hit Tour 3W
I hit a bucket with the 7 wood. I certainly was able to move the ball left or right. I was not consistant with flight as some were high and some were low but there was no ballooning whatsoever with it. Still a little rusty. Have the same stock shaft as yours. My normal yardage is about 200-210 and had no problem achieving it. Club reminded me of my old Callaway Steelhead plus which I used for many years. I never liked hybrids so I am sticking with this club until future notice!!

PRGR Hit Tour 3W
Nice review Bogeydog! I just got the 3 and 7 wood and just returned from California where I was able to hit a lot of balls with these clubs. Your review is on point but I do like the stock grips!! I am also on the short size so the lie angle is perfect for me. I would add the sound at impact is much more muted than my Callaway Hot fairway woods. In my opinion, a much better sound, not as tinny as Callaway. I was concerned about this club being fade biased but I was able to work the ball left or right. Very happy with my choice.

PRGR M3 Hit Tour Fairway Woods- First Impressions
Just received my PRGR M3 Hit Tour 3 and 7 woods. First experience with PRGR clubs. Looks great. Shaft is stamped "made in Japan", Nice color on heads. Compared to my Callaway X fairway woods, head size is smaller. Shape of head is in between pear and compact (hard to describe) but very pleasing. They do not have a marker on the head like Callaway. Hit the 7 wood outside today in 40 degree weather along with my Callaway. PRGR definitely a few yards longer. Ball flight with PRGR also appeared to be a little higher, more piercing trajectory than Callaway but shafts are different. Ball went pretty straight. It was hard for me to draw or fade the ball but my swing was awful today. Will try again when weather breaks but that could be in a few weeks.

Catagorizing cavity back irons
Thanks Gocchin! This will be awsome!

Catagorizing cavity back irons
Ok, with so many questions about the least or most amount of offset for cavity back irons, the next logical question (gocchin??) would be to make up a list of the JDM cavity back irons that would be targeted for low handicap golfers (scratch to 10) , mid handicap (11 to 20) and higher handicap (20 and above) players. I know some of this may be subjective but it would give all of us looking for the perfect iron a benchmark to go forward. Help from anyone would be appreciated!
