Throw into the mix the Tourstage GR Forged irons as well!!
  2. I am not an aggressive and hard hitter with the club. Much smoother tempo. Dont think CB 46 would work.
  3. I have been looking for a shaft that has a high kick point, light weight, nuetral bias, easy to hit for my Driver. Does one exist?

Also curious and how they would compare with my Tourstage GR forged irons.
  5. Not Clicky at all. My Fourteen MT28V4 which I don't think were forged had the clicky feeling. The Vokeys have a much better softer feeling when struck.
  6. Best wedges I have ever played!
  7. I have always stuck to the traditional JDM brands such as Tourstage, Callaway Legacy, Mizuno JPX and Titliest JP. For those of you that have played with the more exotic brands such as Royoma, Crazy, Romaro, etc, how would you compare?
  8. Great review. I recently purchased these in 50, 54 and 60 degrees replacing my Fourteen MT28V4 wedges. First thing I noticed was the softness of these wedges. Second thing I noticed was that you can work these wedges. High shots, low shots, no problems. Finally, these wedges are just pretty to look at! I highly recommend them!
  9. I was lucky enough to try all of them at various time. If I had to give an edge to one of them, it would be Tourstage X- Drive 405. Excellent feel and I always liked the muted sound at impact.
  10. Can't go wrong with any of them!
  11. I have been playing with my Tourstage GR forged irons for a few weeks now. Got them in standard NP SR 950 flex. My 5 iron is 1/2 inch shorter than normal. I play to a 10 handicap. Head size is slightly smaller than my previous JPX E600 forges irons and slightly less offset as well. Top line not too thin, not too wide. If you consider these game improvement irons, I think they would be considered more leaning toward the athlete irons (at least more than the JPX models). I was a little nervous when I opened the box as they "looked" a little more difficult to hit compared to my JPX irons. However, I am happy to say these clubs are extremely easy to hit. They are "automatic." You hit and they go straight. Off center shots still perform well with no measurable distance loss. "Soft" feeling is wonderful when you hit these irons. Still feels "soft" on mis**ts and for some reason, they feel softer compared to my JPX model. I made these 1 degree stronger to make up for the shorter shaft length and distance is great. I hit my 5 iron about 170 which is a few yards longer compared to JPX. Very pleased with these irons and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
  12. What ever happend to ZOMO putters?
  13. Corky....Always like Tourstage and I tend to stick with what I like. Purchased the 705 type 455 last year with Diamana ahina 60 S shaft. Shaft keeps the ball on a much lower trajectory for me and when hit pure, there is nothing like Tourstage. You do raise an interesting point as I have noticed a lot of members have "moved on" to more boutique brands. Does that mean the name brands that we all know and like (Yamaha, On-Off, Mizuno, JPX) are out? I dont think so. They appeal to the mass markets and nothing wrong with that. I tend to purchase items that I know and like. However, I am always curious about the exotics and love the forums that discuss these unique brands.
  14. Just received my new woods, irons and wedges!. Like a kid in a candy store when they arrived. Won't be able to give a review for a few weeks as I am traveling for a bit but in terms of looks alone, I can say the following: GR Forged irons 4-9 is SR stock shafts: 1. Head size is slightly smaller than my JPX E600 forges irons. 2. Looks like slightly less offset as well. 3. Top line not too thin, not too wide. It appears to be a straight looking top line similiar to the VG3 or at least the picks I have seen of them. Very pleasing looking at address. 4. The bottom of the 4 iron (don't really wan't to say cavity but for comparison purposes) does slightly show at address but still ok looking. 5. If you consider these game improvement irons, I think they would be considered more leaning toward the athlete irons (at least more than the JPX models) Callaway Legacy Woods: 1. Received the 3 plus and 7 woods in standard SR flex stock shafts. 2. Shafts are mostly white in color and very light. 3. Head size small but very pleasing to the eye. Does not look like it will be difficult to hit. 4. They do look like and remind me of the Callaway Steel head plus series from years ago which I liked very much. Vokey Wedges in 48, 54 and 60 degrees in R flex. 1. If looks could kill, these are them! 2. Very pleasing looking at address. 3. They just look like wedges that you can hit and control without a problem. Reviews to follow in the coming weeks.
  15. I have always been interested in the D forged. What may turn me off on the D Forged is the wide cavity that appears to show when addressing the ball. I have been told it appears on the 4 iron but curious if you see it on the 5 iron as well. Also would be interested in how they would rank in terms of a game improvement iron compared to the VG3 and the Tourstage GR Forged irons.
  16. I ordered the Vokey forged in 50, 54 and 60 degrees. What should I expect out of these beauties?
  17. I had the older Callaway ERC Non Conforming Driver and at best, I had a distance gain of about 5 yard. That was only if I hit it pure. Was not worth it.
  18. Ian...Well said. I have been a member since 2005 and am still addicted to this wonderful site!
  19. Just ordered one. Been told it looks like the old stealhead plus woods that Callaway had many years ago. Those were my favorite. Will do review when I get it.
  20. c'mom...I just purchased the GR forged irons. Waiting for them to arrive. You are all giving me a complex!
  21. Would anyone include Tourstage GR Forged irons in this poll? I think Chris ranks these high as well?
  22. Cant read Japanese or English! Great Chart. Think I know how the arrows point and what it means but if someone could interpret, that would be greatly appreciated!

What about Tourstage, in particular, the new GR Forged irons?

Since we all agree Endo is the best forging company around, would it be possible to get a list going of all Endo made clubs by the manufactures?
  25. Pete, Thanks for the information. I am looking at the Titleist VG3 Forged irons. Henry
