Just wondering who has hit this driver and what they think of its performance. Also, what about the stock shafts and how they perform. Thanks for any comments.

Hey Stevo, Nice you finally purchased the 2014 model. Definite upgrade than the 2010 in my opinion.

Welcome aboard the bandwagon singing praise of the VG3 irons. I have been saying the same thing for the past 6 months. Best irons, hands down. They are staying in my bag for next year as well. First time that has happened in a long, long time!!

Wondering how the iron head size compares to the Titliest VG3's? They look great but head size "appears" to be large.

As the season comes to an end in Upstate New York, I just want to say after spending the summer with these irons, they will definetly stay in the bag for 2015. First time in a long time that I will play the same irons over a 2 year period! These irons continue to amaze me. They feel both very soft, and springy and I consider them "automatic", nothing hard about these irons. I still will recommend them to anyone that is looking for a great set of cavity back forged irons.

Wow. I did not know they had so many varities!! I think I will need to go on Amazon..

So my friend comes back from Tokyo and gives me a bag of Chocolate candy bars. I have to say the green tea Kit Kat bars were probably the best tasting chocolate I ever had! The milk chocolate Kit Kat bars are not as sweet as the US version and had much more of cocoa flavor. I ate 3 bars yesterday! I want more!!!

I know what you mean by the extra epoxy coming loose as that has happened to me before. Perhaps, its not so much a rattling noise but more of a different "vibrating" noise that was not present before.

So I have been using my Ryoma Driver for about 2 years now. Have always had fantastic distance and roll. However, over the past few weeks, I have noticed a lost of distance of about 5 yards on my good solid drives and a significant distance loss with my miss hits. I was thinking it was just me and bad swings but something just did not feel right. I then just noticed when I let the head of the club bounce off the ground (on grass), there is a "rattling sound", Any thoughts on what it could be and any relationship with distance loss?

Wonder what's going to happen to all the different "Tourstage" golf balls presently made for the Japan marketplace.

My friend advises me he may be interested in playing a round of golf. Any recommendations for places in the suburbs of Tokyo to play? I assume you can rent clubs?

So my very best friend will be visiting Tokyo next week. Although only an occassional golfer, he does want to see some Japan only golf stuff. The good news for me is that he wants to bring me back a present!! 2 questions. 1. Any mainstream department stores or sporting good stores that have a good selection of JDM golf clubs that I can point my friend in the right direction? 2. Any suggestions for what he can bring back to me that would be easy for him to carry on the plane or put in luggage. I was thinking of a dozen golf balls (Which ones? --looking for a distance ball) or even a pair of golf shoes that you can't get in the states (I am a size 7D-what size would be equivilant?). Other suggestions welcomed! Thanks.

As an update, although I have had some bad rounds with these clubs as the result of bad swings (me!), I still say these are the best irons I have hit and still have that "spring like" effect when hit on the sweet spot. I am getting a few extra yards off these clubs compared to the 2012 VG3's but that could be the result of the lighter shaft. Again, these are something special and I would recommend them.!

Seem to be more automatic and the ball seems to be more "springy" when hit. If you are worried about the looks, don't be. I think the original pictures published did not do the clubs justice. Looks are just fine. Overall, a well balanced game improvement iron. I have now practiced with these irons for about 2 weeks. I know there is always a "honeymoon" period and know we typically love our new clubs until the next model comes out. With that being said, I have to say these are the best set of irons I have ever hit (previous new models include JPX,Tourstage and 2012 VG3). I have never hit an iron like this that has a "spring like" effect when hit. The ball just rockets off the club like no other iron I have ever hit. Not sure if I am getting more distance and not sure if going to a lighter (NSPro 850 in R flex) shaft has anyting to do with it but can state these irons are really something special for me. Curious to get Tario's view when he reviews these irons on the spring like effect I am getting or others who have tried the 2014 model.

Had the opportunity to finally hit some balls with the 2014 VG3 irons. Compared to the 2012 model, the 2014 irons are softer feel and slightly higher trajectory.

Hey Stevo, Just had another 8 inches of snow in Rochester! Will be a few more weeks until I test them. Be happy to post side by side pics with the 2012 if you want. After comparing them, the hosel appears to be a little longer along with the ferrule for the 2014 model. Again, I think the 2014 model is ever so slightly more compact with a tad slightly thinner top line.

Do any of these grips come in size m62? Standard grip size is m60.

Looking for size M62. Seems difficult to locate this size?

I just received my "box" today. Of course, I am like a kid in a candy store when the box arrives. I did not have my 2012 VG3's handy to do a side by side comparison but I can tell you the 2014 model is much much better looking in hand than what the pictures have shown. Initial looks seem to show slightly thinner top line.My biggest concern was the width of the sole. I can say its no different than the 2012 model and may be even a tad less wide. Also, the overall size of the club may be more compact in appearance but I really need to look at both models in hand. In my opinion, there is absolutley no uglyness (that was another concern based upon previously posted pictures) to this club and am looking forward to hitting them when this winter finally ends! We still have snow on the ground in Rochester (NY) so it may be several more weeks.
