  1. I have played with the J Beam Glorious Driver for 2 years now. Nothing has beaten it in terms of feel and distance. How would this one compare?

Just noticed these on the Japan website. Anyone can tell me about these?

A local golf shop just had its demo days and XXIO was present. I tried the forged irons. What a sweet looking iron. Was surprised its not as chunky as the pictures show, slightly more offset then my VG3 irons and larger head. Certainly would recommend them. It seemed like whoever tried these clubs absolutely loved them. Local rep was semi knowledgeable as he knew they were forged by Endo ( I assume they are) but could not give me any information on custom lie, loft and shaft options including length. Can anyone shed light on these options offered by XXIO?
  4. Curious on how the driver compares to the JBeam Glorious driver.

Just went to my local golf shop that has started selling these clubs. I know XXIO has been trying to make a mark in the US market. Is there any difference between XXIO Japan and XXIO USA? Beautiful looking irons. Got to demo the XXIO 9 series and very easy to hit. Very underrated company in the USA but irons are expensive.
  6. I play the Glorious and also am interested where this club rates in comparison.
  7. Anything new to report? I have the Glorious Driver and it still the longest driver for me beating out my recently purchased Egg Driver. Also interested on the ZY-7 if its a high back or does it slope down. Hard to tell in the picks. Just a quirk of mine to know that.
  8. If they are anything like the new Egg fairway woods, you cannot go wrong for that price. Everything about the older models I heard of are true with the new Eggs that I just purchased. Super easy to hit and loooong. Farthest fairway woods I have ever hit.

looking for a training aid that will increase swing speed but can also keep your swing on plane during the training. I had used the swhoosh for a little bit but when I tried hitting balls afterwards, my swing was off plane and took me weeks before I get everything back together again.
  10. Mid trajectory for me. My shaft is the NSPro 750.
  11. Just received my VG3 irons. Had a few rounds with them. Compared to the 2014 model which I was playing, the 2016 iron model appears to be a tad longer heal to toe and does have a slightly thinner top line. It does have a completely different feel than the 2014 iron. I think that could be the result of the tungsten weights on each end. The 2016 version does not have the spring like effect feeling at impact but it DOES go a little farther, distance wise. Happy to answer any questions.
  12. Just got mine a few days ago. Got the driver, Spoon (3wood) and 7 wood all in stock shaft m40. The 3 and 7 woods are the easiest clubs I have played. All the comments about how "stupid easy" these are to hit are correct. The 7 wood appears to go farther for me as I was hitting it on the fly of about 200 yards as opposed to my normal 7 wood of about 200 yards including roll. 3 wood appears to go farther as well. Ball flight was not that high and ok for me. Not sure about roll as it was wet on the ground but hoping it produces roll to get extra distance. Very loud ping when struck but that is not a problem for me.Jury still out on how workable these are as I have only played once. Will be playing again this weekend. Only could hit the driver a few times. I got the 10 degree (normal for me is 9 degree) and it does have a high launch. Again, a very easy driver to hit. Not fighting it like other drivers I have had in the past. Head size is ok, nothing unusual. sort of looks like te Ping G25 head.No issues with the head being a few degrees open. Dont even notice it at address. Need more time on the course to see how this holds up. Overall, if you are thinking of these, I would recommend them.
  13. Are there any rankings in Japanese publications or otherwise as to what the most popular brands of clubs are? Just curious to see what people are playing in the Japanese marketplace.
  14. These look terrific. Anyone else have had an opportunity to play them? I have the 2014 version and am curious to see how they compare.
  15. Although not new for 2016, I am wondering if anyone has hit the Yonex EZone Driver and thoughts on it. Looks great and the price is a lot less than other JDM drivers on the market.
  16. Thanks RLL. Your question is more to the point. Hoping to get some responses.
  17. So I am leaning toward purchasing the EGG Driver (looks awesome and has great reviews in forum) which my understanding is 3 degrees open face though it looks square at address. My swing fault is swinging too much on the inside out path which when done will either cause a duck hook or push way to the right. Therefore, if I push one to the right, because the face is 3 degrees open, will that cause the ball to go even further right? I am taking the shaft specs out of this question.
  18. Just curious if anyone else has played these and what they think.
  19. I need an education on this topic. Who benefits from high spin and who benefits from low spin? Is spin product of shaft as well? Can drivers be high spin or low spin bias made by the manufactures?
  20. Curious if anyone has played the previous versions of the VG3 Driver and what your thoughts are. Thanks.

I think if you Google Japan Golf Fair 2016, it will lead you to its webpage. There is an English version. I think there is a download button that will have the layout of the Exhibit Hall with the listing of all the exhibitors and where they are located.
  22. Curious to get some feedback for those that have tried the previous version of this driver.
  23. This may be a silly question but I am wondering if there are golf training aids exclusive to the Japanese market. I always try to do some off season training and this year, I am using the orange whip but it just got me thinking if there are any unique training aids sold only in Japan.

I just noticed the Japan Golf Fair is coming up in a few weeks. I see its the 50th edition. Hoping the golden anniversary will bring out all the manufactures this year. Looking forward to the great coverage which Tourspecgolf always provides!
  25. Also, top line looks just a tad thinner than my 2014 model.
