you can try lead tape on the sole first-- i did that with a kzg pft head and it helped. or yes you can use rattle stop (rat glue) and it will deaden it some. do not use foam--do not use foam* after a few rounds you will have a huge expensive baby rattle and no way to solve the problem. the foam breaks up after a short while and than you have chunks rattleing around...ken
  3. well scott what about your old debt with me. remember the two sonartec's i ordered for you and dropped them off to you at the used car dealership.. "i'll drop by the golf shop next tuesday and pay the rest when i get paid" well by the end of the next week you were no longer at the used car lot and all numbers to you were null invoid. people the car lot was 100yrds from our golf shop-- the guy has the money and he is just a very untrustfull person. and it seems after some contact with past employers that he is not a good worker either and also not trusted.. i in good faith dropped the clubs off on a friday so you could play the weekend with them-- you it seems did your normal cheap scate thing and ran off oweing alot of cash. you know where i am - if you want to make good -- and i just pulled up my old invoice>> $142.00 is what you owe.. priceless that all your crap is catching up to you for a little coin owed. and i will work with anyone here to inform all shaft, grip and head companies to warn them of your dealings.. ken, low pro golf gastonia, nc.. please scott no personal checks. if your a man you'll pay in person with cash. don;t worry it's no worth any physical actions on my part but if no contact is made this week - i think i can get enough people here to take you to small claims court..
  4. i hope he does'nt owe you money!! he ran out on a note for two sonartec's from us-- about $250 in the hole from this guy. maybe we need to take a ride to taylorsville.. call you tuesday..

tip it half an inch.. it plays much like the tour release and blue pro launch and yes a light weight purple ice shaft. put one in a 14* ss-03 head and it playedout very nice-- gave me a little higher launch.. solid shaft. ken
  6. scooter, got the np-99 15* with blue nv75 stiff flex. plays just like it's green brother. made a 3wd up for a friend - nv 75(green) and the np-99 with the blue nv75 feels and plays out the same. now the r/s combo shaft is a nv shaft but correct not the same.. get the stiff nv and not the combo flex-you should be able to hit it very well considering what you have liosted as clubs and shafts combo's.. by the way the np-99 hit very well. before i had the ss-03 15* and the np gives me a little higher launch but still a very penetrating ball flight. ken

nv-65, mfs 65, harrison striper tour, blue, harmon tour cb-65 all woprk very well and come .350 tip if needed.. just a few modereate price shafts.. ken
  8. it's a very solid shaft and works well for smooth transition swings.. with a 110 swing speed use a x flex-- don't worry it will not be too stiff. the shaft has a softer tip section and the stiff would probably make oyu have a little control issue.. put a stiff tipped half inch into a 395cc 10.5 gemini and fine with a controlled swing BUT if i get a little quick -- she goes left in a hurry** close to your swing speed.. ken
  9. a few to look at>> grafalloy blue pro launch 65, aldila one 65 mid launch, harrison striper-j, fujikura vp-60 or tour release , accuflex icon v.2, somethingin the 60-70 gram range with 3.2-3.5* torgue and soft-mid tip section. in a stiff flex also.. ken,

you might want to get the lye checked while you change the loft--to make sure all things stay -clubs edge- right. main difference will be the yardages of each club.. ken
  11. you'll probably have to add a 4-5gram tip weight to get to a d-2,3 sw but besides that it should work out fine.. put the 85 gram hybrid in a friends and he has never been happier. actually hit it further and better control than with the rifle shaft that was it.. main thing is that he got a little higher ball flight.. ken

jerry, wait till you hit the fairway woods and try out the utility wood.. the 19 or 22 even if you don't need to-- they are equally as nice as the drivers.. ken
  13. check the fujikura web site for local dealers or closest.. yes probably a half inch needs to be tipped for installation. due to the short hosel.. and also depending on the weight of the head-maybe more will need to be tipped. ken
  14. the tour release has a softer feel -due to the tip section- and will launch the ball a little higher than the SIX. both are very solid and have the fujikura silky feel. if you have a low lofted driver that needs a little help in getting a higher ball flgiht the release may be the shaft to use.. ken
  15. plays the px not sure of flex inall his irons. i have the px 5.5's and play them in the 52,56, and 60 with nice outcome. but it's a feel issue when you get down to the wedges.. ken

integra sports makes a soolong 450cc head that is past COR and also bang golf makes a 525cc head that is past COR. both are very long heads and would work well to gain extra yards. ken

just for general info:: put a 9.5* 380cc head with a prototype aldila NVS75. new shaft coming out later this year. low torgue-low kick much like the fujikura tour release and purple ice shaft.. 45'', d-1 sw. other drivers tested it against> gemini w/tour release 27.3 and alpha version-2 400cc w/ aldila nv 75. nakashima > medium ball flight and alot of roll. the head sounds like a tank going off and the ball gets down the fairway like a tank shot it. good forgiveness, looks and the feel of a froged head-really nice. now the sound is just something different and not really as loud as a tank going off but it has that effect--too many nights watching old war movies--. anyway the nakashima is not the second coming but it is a very very solid club head- forged feel, nice workabilty and great roll. as for the three clubs hit>> distance wise they were all within 5-10yrds of each other. nakashima and the alpha head i got more roll with - any questions just ask. thanks, ken
  19. sounds like the shaft> speeder 757>> is too much shaft. no offense here but the speeder 757 is just a tuff shaft and really ment for high swing speeds and people who load the club quick. i'm talking in the 115 and up mph swing. if you were going to stay with the 757 line get a reg flex and will work out better. low left shots are due to you pulling hard with your left side-trying to get the shaft around. the speeder 652 is more suited for the mortal golfer. not as low torgue and a softer tip section. the ys-6 shaft is lighter, lower kick point and soft tip section>>made to help in getting a higher launch.. the speeder spec's are ment to bring the shot pattern in and lower. hope this helps, ken
  20. two years ago took out the DGS-300's and put PX 5.5's in- straight with no soft or hard steeping done. 5 iron is 190 carry for me normally.. it was a big change and for the better-- ball gets up quick but flattens out nice and goes. got more accuracy and better stopping power on the greens due to a steeper angel-- i think. they do play out a tad stiffer- and i really saw it in the 3,4irons.. but those are out of the bag anyway - put a sonartec t.r.c 22* in to take the place. only bought one set-- they are a little $$.. frequency's are very good with nice seperation between irons. sounds like the 5.5's should do the trick for your swing. normal 6.0's play out close to the px 5.5's.. hope this helps, ken

would like to hear all anyone has to comment on this company-it's products >> np-1 drivers, fairway and utilty clubs. they are new this year to the us market and putting alot of money behind it. i will be hitting the 380cc version this week and weekend and look forward to seeing if all the hype is true. i work at a custom golf store and recieved the nakashima booklet about two weeks ago and since have been getting alot of questions about these drivers. so would just like to know if anyone has hit them and their views. thanks for your time, ken **i am by no means trying to sell anything here-mearly info**
  22. the alpha version.2 (all black head) is very hot and produces a mid ball flight. hit a 10.5 with a nv75. the c-830 produces a more mid to high ball flight. also hit a 10.5 with same shaft etc.. all in all very solid performing heads and paired with a top of the line shaft it can perform like a OEM driver.
  23. as hot as the driver heads are these days- going a half or a full inch shorter won;t kill ya and probably have you hitting more square - center hits- and thus longer drives in the short grass..
