you think the 454 is loud? it sounds very solid i thnk.. but cotton would be the only thing besides rattle stop to make things softer.. do not FOAM the head-- it will turn into a GIANT baby rattle***

he is part human after all  getting down to our level in the graphite shaft range.. just watch as nike & diaman sales skyrocket** :money: :money:

look at the new bridgestone drivers.. all coming square face angel...
  5. Lowpro replied to Ringer's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
not an exact length but a hair over 25.5'' from the tip before the blue paint starts...

at the most i would tip it half inch.. very strong shaft and sometimes i have not even tipped them for 3wds and they work fine at 43'' length.. for a 5wd an inch is fine.. inch for a 3wd would be great for a high swing speed> 110+ on a driver.. point and swing effect.. my thoughts..
  7. when we first started insatalling the zcom's it was and is a learning experience. with the long us version at 48'', there is alot of tipping ot do to get them to play at a certain cpm or flex.. i would be afraid to tip a stiff 2'' to feel right for your swing. as far as the 46'' version - i have no experience with them.. maybe joe can chime in here. great feeling shafts though.. :smile1:

something is way off as joey stated.. the freq of 239 in a stiff speeder 757 is not right.. it should be reading more like 260+.. the r7 head can't be that heavy- in that it softens up the shaft that much.. unless you have a senior shaft in? with a 115+ swing speed you could handle a x flex w/ no problem.. but something does'nt add up with the stiff 757 at 236cpm's? unless the driver is 48'' in length or something i would say the shaft is not a stiff.. wild numbers though :-D
  9. there are a few 5min epoxy's out there.. brampton technologies makes a good 5min, golf smith or g-works also offer 5min glue's that work fine..
  10. not a problem .. a very easy task for a custom golf shop to handle..
  11. you would benefit more from the PROJECT X 7.0 flex.. i don't think you have any problem getting the ball airborn so the flighted rilfes would be out.. the PX shafts do get a high ball at forst but it levels out and goes.. been hitting the PX 5.5's for 3yrs now and love them.. came form the DG-S300'S and it's night and day really.. lower flight, more accuracy, better feel and gained a few yrds.. not much 2-4yrds but a better ball flight in the wind.. i said 7.0 flex maybe for you but try to get a proper fitting..
  12. look at the ACCRA SC-75.. very nice low torgue to help handle the fast tempo and produce a nice mid ball flight.. the heavier weight is perfect for the shorter length.. M4 or stiff flex.. should be fine also..
  13. just a standard length shaft comes 46-47''.. so any new shaft you like will be fine and just butt cut it to final playing length..
  14. sonartec does'nt offer the fwy woods with a steel shaft but it can be done.. did a ss-03 15* with a rifle 6.0 for a friend of mine and he loves it.. may look at the ss-07 as far a geting one made up and might save some money - instead of getting the 02/03 model and having it reshafted..
  15. i think i know why you don't hit the purle ice combo further.. the purple ice is 85grams while the vista pro 50 is 50-55grams.. alot of weight difference here and MAYBE the reason it's not performing for you. if oyu add the lead tape -- apply it to the club head--towarda the face or center bottom..
  16. jg, do a search for graphite design golf shaft company and you'll fine their home page with the spec's and pic's... :smile1:
  17. not really, adding lead tape will soften the flex some but not move the kick point.. the PI is a great shaft for a getting a higher launch -- the only to get more height would be to go to a higher loft... or tee it higher but the ball back in the stance some but to make a noticable difference - a higher loft is the trick..

kp, a few to look at>> vp 50, accra tour series 50, accuflex pro ld, ust low carb, blue pro launch 55, harrison 3.5sl, aldila nvs 55.. all very stable and run in the spec's you like...
  19. please don't get me wrong-- was'nt in anyway saying your not a good player.. just that graphite shafts really make huge difference in getting these clubs to perform nice. possible a mid to low kick shaft>. aldila nvs, pro luanch blue 75, purple ice etc.. sorry if you took it wrong.. and yes the steel shafts makes great tomato states.. :smile2:

striper tour 70 is a excellent driver shaft.. smooth feel and good control. medium high ball lanunch. i would still only insert the shaft nomore than 2''.. just to keep some feel in it.. and you are correct-- alot of great shaft under the $250 mark
  21. that is heavy for swing weight but not bad.. you may just need a lighter fwy wood and have more head weight than back weight.. graphite three at 43'' and a d2 swing weight will be a world of difference.. hard to say but that club is built for straight not long shots... a higher swing speed player could handle the club better..

the shafts will ready in a few weeks.. they are coming TAPER TIP only** yep, that is what true temper told me at the pga show.. long irons get the ball up quick and a progressive stiffer tip section as the irons get lower to help in a tigher lower ball flight.. ala-- going after the project x shaft.. retail is looking at $60 per club for reshafts..

agree 100%... the .350 shafts play firmer.. had the same experience with the nv-65 and blue pro launch.. more mass at the tip..
  24. i did see the hammer toady and the shaft is crazy looking-- looks like a regular shaft that has been smashed-- twice as wide and flat oval leading edge.. had no idea fuji made the shaft.. it felt horrible when i hit it a few times in the net.. looks like your holding a small sword...
  25. your prices are spot on.. the zcom is priced with the speeders and will be priced as reshaft only in the states $250-275+.. i questioned the fuji rep about the BSG guy getting everything and the prices and they are very aware of it and said really no way to stop it. Graphite Design has hurt their sales in the states - with their dealers and price jumps etc.. but seem to be making a real effort to right the ship. both make extremely solid shafts i feel..
