well, i hope they focus on the blade for the blade players.... accuracy, preciseness rather than forgiveness.......

i have the x-ut, gauge, royal collection, td and td+, and the ut-306. i will rate the ut-306 and the td+ the best, with the ut-306 getting the edge, very appealing to the eye, long, got the flight that allows it to land softly, but can hit low at will from the tee to get roll.... i use it for the short par 4s.... less than 360-365 yards and the long par 5s... second shots....
  3. driver - Epon 460zr, epon EMB (longest driver i have hit) Irons - Miura blades, Tourstage xblade 2, mizuno mp 33 (us obtained, but hey its a japanese company), gauge MB blades Wedges - Gauge Wedges (best ever) Fairway wood - Epon technity 3 wood (i found only the 3 wood good among the fairway wood) gauge fairway woods Putters - Gauge Premium Zone putters hybrid - fourteen ut-306, royal collection td+, gauge hybrid
  4. use a 7 wood, you will be surprised at what it does to your game. I play blades, but when i play courses where i will have a lot of 200-210 yards to hit the green, its the best to hit high soft cuts.
  5. length - 34 " or 35" PM Me with what you have. Note the plural....in the WTB
  6. the epon af301s are better than the nc-1s (feel, performance, etc.)..... you may want to give them a try...
  7. I have one Brand new. $200 shipped / paypalled. Let me know

other way around for good ball strikers - MB is more accurate.. for an ok swing to .... not so ok swing.... the CB will yield better results (note that i did not use the word "accurate")
  9. different clubs..... blade vs cavity...
  10. one other way to get birdies is to tee up from the forward tees..... wonder why its not as enjoying to the brigade that says that the only enjoyment is to get birdies.......... point is for some people, getting those birdies with game improvement clubs is not as much fun as getting it with lets say blade like clubs....... or they are taking the pain today to have even more fun tomorrow when their game improves to a higher level.... golf can be (and is) fun in different ways for different people. each to his own......

\i have owned and played both the fourteen \TB 1000 and the AF 301s. The fourteen are the softest irons ever. very forgiving for a blade. my only negative was the loft progression was not 4* apart between the 5 - PW. most of it s 3* apart. I will stay away from the AF 301s if you are coming from a blade and looking for similar play. the AF301s are very forgiving, soft (but not as soft as the fourteen - none are)..., but to me they appeared to be designed for the mid-capper (defined as around 10, with average to slightly above average striking skills), hence the shape, the offset etc may not be for you if you are a good striker of the ball. my vote will be to go for the tb 1000 between the two. i haven't played the miura mb 5003, but played and own other miura blades. in my opinion, they are the best blades.

I have a set of brand new 3-PW heads. Still in factory packaging. So condition guaranteed. You can have them at cost (since I prefer blades, dont think I am going to put them into play anytime soon, if ever)....However, note the cost ($1800 shipped/paypalled) is hefty and you may be able to find used sets significantly cheaper.
  13. My preferred shaft is the 1150 stiff in my irons, but in all my wedges I prefer the S400. Gives me the solid feel and more distance and trajectory control. The 1150 just did not feel right on all those half wedge shots or the chips around the green...particularly when I am easing on the swing to get better control..

i have owned (miura blades excluding MB 5003) and golds factory and played both. I will suggest the miuras..... hands day anyday.
  15. great review.... those clubs really look good......
  16. for me it will be the chikara proto ...... next will be the gas 1 and gas 2 wedges of Gauge
  17. the old epon and the new one are essentially the same. I will strongly advocate the Epon 460, (for me the roddio WA shaft works best).... and i have tried the fourteen.... very ordinary...
  18. count your lucky stars... out here in new york city... marginal tax rate on income is as high as 45-48%....and lets not even go to property taxes.... i rather pay the duty on the golf stuff and save the 8-13% on income.....

if you can't launch the 3 and 4 iron, i will err on the side of the af501/301 for the extra forgiveness....
  20. the epon 301s iron particularly the short irons have a relatively higher offset than other player CBs. if you are looking for less or no offset, they may not work.

  22. wish we had a comparison of this Tourstage driver versus the 2008 Onoff black driver... has the 2008 onoff black driver found any users on the JPGA
  23. for me the td+ was higher and slightly longer, but more importantly very accurate
  24. i will second gocchin's recommendation..... i have tried them all.....nothing beats the td+ if you are a good ball striker........thats what stayed in my bag... the td.... (older version) is good too ...a bit more forgiving than the td+.....
  25. ajaykkr replied to gocchin's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
have my eyes on the onoff driver for the 2008 season.... if anyone has played it, please post reviews and compare it to 1) Epon 460 2) Xdrive 460 or MP Craft Also, perspective on the stock shaft (my gamer is Roddio WA series 6WA or 7WA) Thanks
