  1. Selling my Yamaha Power Spoon 3W. Includes stock Yamaha Orbit shaft, stiff flex as well as Aldila NV green 75g stiff shaft (installed). New New Decade white/black grip on Orbit and new Goodyear on Aldila. Near perfect condition. Assembled, pured and flo'd by Goodsie. This is a very poweful and rare club. Performance is great. I believe it was rated in Japan only second to the PRGR Egg in distance but higher in other categories. I am selling as I am working to buy a few woods to fill a gap between driver and 4 iron. I hit my driver almost 100% of time and haven't had much need for a traditional 3W of this length. You will be more than satisfied. Price - $399
  2. Final price drop. Will consider separating shaft and head.
  3. PRICE DROP FOR IMMEDIATE SALE.
  4. FINAL PRICE DROP TO $799 SHIPPED. OR SHAFT FOR $375, HEAD $425. A virtually brand new and flawless combination. Kamui 456 and Crazy TJ-46 just received the end of last week. Perfect in every way. Maybe 15 balls max. If I didn't tell you it was hit, you wouldn't know. I have been working through a few combos this season experimenting with shafts and heads. Excellent driver, bog distance, very forgiving. This setup is everything cracked up to be however I have been trying hard to stick to my new swing lessons and for me this setup is a little stout. I likely will try a similar setup with a softer and shorter shaft. Assembled by Goodsie at the following specs. I am willing to speak to you by telephone with more details on its play, etc. PM me. List price is more than $1350. PRICE - $850 shipped in CONUSA. International price separately. Kamui 456, black, lie 57*, loft 9.8*, square face, 201g weight, non-comforming Crazy TJ-46 SR flex shaft Assembled by Goodsie at 45", D2.8, 261 CPM, pured/flo'd Golf Pride New Decade Black/White grip Kamui Headcover Have included foam wrap with build specs of the head.
  5. I am selling this stellar setup only because I have another of the same Crazy shafts and another Kamui 456 head on its way. The new Kamui head has different specs that I am trying out. This combo is one that Rating Gate said was so great paired together. Take my word, it is a stellar combination. I also installed a Crazy shaft in my coveted Yamaha driver head and liked the Kamui better. I am looking forward to pairing the two together again. The club CPM'd at 266 however don't let this scare you. Read the many posts by me and Gocchin about this. It is my feeling that the design of the shafts skew the CPM rating. I am a high 90s SS player and I feel anyone from mid 90s to 110 could play this shaft. Specs: Kamui 456, black 11* loft 57ish lie Square face setup Neutral weighting Non-conforming Crazy TJ-46 Longest Yard shaft, SR flex, 45" installed, 266cpm, D2.8 swing weight Condition: 9/10 As one would expect with some play. Assembled and pured/flo'd by Goodsie. If you want one of the best setups on the planet and don't want to wait 3-4 weeks for delivery, this one is ready to go. I can ship immediately. Price: $799 shipped in CONUSA. International with additional charges. No trades. May separate the head and shaft. This club retails at $1375.
  6. The following was copied from their English version website. Our website in English being designed for overseas market, country of origin for each club in English website is different from that in Japanese website. The clubs for overseas market are “Made in Japan” and those for Japanese market are “Made in China”. Is this to be interpreted as those clubs selling in Japan are Chinese made and those selling in the US are Made in Japan?
  7. Hi-Trac. I still have them. They also made a full graphite iron head.
  8. The mystery of Crazy continues....
  9. Yeah I have thought that through. Do you think that 3/4 inch shorter with a head wight of 6.5g heavier would really result in a +14 CPm difference? To me, that would be a massive jump. Somewhere I read that Crazy rates the flex using a club length of 45.5". The TJ-46 is described as having a softer profile than the others so I can't imagine what the other models will demonstrate.
  10. Yes 266 after the build with a 5 inch clamp. That is part of the mystery here. The previous post by Chris, showed a SR flex, built with an Epon AF151, 194.5 head weight at 45.75 with a CPM of 252. The blog post by Gocchin showed his build with a Soft Regular at 239. Thos would make sense at they show approximate progression of 239 Soft Reg., 245 Reg., 252 SR, 250 Stiff, 266 X. Thus my dlilema. If this shaft indeed is an SR, and the install specs as I have shown, why on earth would it CPM so high and out of normal progession? I am waiting for Tario to help sort this out with Crazy to understand the possibilities. Bad measurement of CPM? Shaft mislable? No problem at all? Strange abnomality? Not sure, but mt concern is if this shaft is doing what it does now, could it be better with the shaft CPMing in the expected range of an SR flex? Today I hope to get some launch/spin info and will post the results.
  11. I guess I disguised that a bit in the review. The dispersion was very tight. The shaft being forgiving is essentially saying that the dispersion was tight and the distance consistent even on less than perfect swings. Tight dispersion is a high point of the shaft.
  12. I paired a Crazy TJ-46 SR flex shaft with a Kamui 456 head. Here are the setup parameters and initial impressions. Kamui Head - 11*, 201g, square face, 57* lie, neutral bias, black. Shaft - Crazy TJ-46, SR flex Setup - Installed at 45", 266cpm, D2.8 swing weight I initially ordered this shaft with some trepidation as there has been a lot of talk about how stiff their shaft flexes and profiles are in comparison with normal JDM shafts. I typically order stiff shafts and adjust the head weight, setup to arrive at a finished flex, etc. My aim is a final flex of an SR. In this case, I ordered the SR flex thinking that if indeed these run stiffer than normal, the the SR flex would be the way to go. After the build, the club CPM'd at 266, much stiffer than I thought it would. I was concerned as their is no way I should be playing a shaft so stiff. The scientific waggle test confirmed this shaft felt stouter than what I was used to however it was apparent that the mid section was stiff and softer in the butt and tip. The first day of play I hit more than 100 balls at the driving range. I hit this alongside my Kamui 420 with a JPGA stiff flex Griffin. The 420 was installed to the same specs. The next day I played nine holes with both. The Crazy shaft flat out performs. Despite this CPM reading, it didn't feel like a 266. It has a neutral feel. It shows a small kick with a smooth transfer or power. The feel of the shaft doesn't over or under present any feel. It is just a straight forward pleasant feel that I described as unremarkable because it doesn't leave any noticeable foot prints in my mind. What struck me as remarkable is the forgiveness of the shaft. I am not used to thinking of shafts as forgiving, however the Crazy is very forgiving. Like everyone else, I have good and bad swings. My miss is a toe hit by clearing too quickly or coming over the top. I am the type that has ultra sensitive feel, and can pick up on the smallest of nuances. On many of hit, I expected failure, but was pleasantly surprised. The shaft was able to make up for my timing and inconsistencies. Pretty cool. I assume this is how the high Carbon content shows its true value. Distance was really good. 30-40 longer, no. 10-15 yards longer on the fly, yes. I also tried to pound balls and find the line in which I could overcome the shaft. I couldn't do it. I also tried to baby it and couldn't hurt it much. The shaft should me that it was actually very very forgiving. Sounds strange. The Kamui 456 is a nice head. I can't say much more than has been covered already on it. Paired with the Crazy, it worked as planned. Swing hard, swing soft, mis**t the ball, it all worked out pretty well. I am pleased with the results and will post more as I get more time in the setup. In regards to the stiffness and CPM readings, I dunno. Gocchin is doing some research with Crazy on the specs of this setup. Could I get a softer shaft and get better results. I don't know, but judging how well this shaft handles abuse and TLC, it is a good bet that most can play 1-2 flexes less.
  13. I played it in the SR flex for a few rounds in the AF102. I loved the combo. Hard kick, smooth acclerating power. I do believe it launched pretty high.
  14. Which flex Quadra and what overall length?
  15. How did you set the Kamui up?
  16. Anyone have or test this combo? Or anything with the Fire Express?

Corky, You are correct. I thought I had the LE, but after review it is the regular 703. Now I need to try the LE. Sorry for the confusion.

Since so many have been looking for information, here are my initial takes on these drivers. I have been lucky enough to play each on actually courses so I offer the following. Spoiler - there is no clear winner! Yamaha - 2009 Inpres 4.6V rpm Tour, 10*, 45", JPGA Griffin shaft stiff. As you may or may not have read my previous posts, this driver has been my mainstay for more than one year. It has had a few challengers, but nothing has exceeded its length, feel and control. It just flat out performs. Look is very traditional, feel is solid and very soft, shaft has great kick. I don't know what this setup is missing it has it all. Kamui 420 - 57* lie, 10.3* loft, square face, 45", JPGA Griffin shaft stiff. Same setup ad the Yamaha. I bought and set this up as a direct competitor to the Yamaha. Feel is not as soft as the others. Not in a bad way, just more crisp. Launch is slightly lower than the Yamaha and lower than the Epon and TS. Setup and look is traditonal and face shape doesn't have much roll. Pure and simple look from above. Super solid and crisp with nice feedback. I point and shoot driver. In this setup, the side isn't an issue. Length is equal to the others. Maybe more rollout due to the lower launch. Epon AF102 - 9.5*, stock GD DI-6 SR shaft. The crown has a rounder back that the others. Nice setup and it inspires confidence. Feel is a muted super solid feel. The best I have felt from Epon. The softer shaft in this setup didn't degrade performance. I hit some great drive with this combo. Launch was quick but not ballooning. Distance was stellar. TS 703 - 10.5*, stock Tour AD shaft SR flex. Similar top look as Epon. Launched the highest of the group. Traj was flat once the ball got up. Feel was slightly crisper than Epon and Yamaha but softer than Kamui. Distance was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised by this club. I can honestly say I can't pick a winner here. All equalled each other length. I found all very friendly and confidence inspiring. Feel is subjective so I can't call a winner. Bottom line is each and every one is a beast and you can't go wrong with any of them. The gaps are so small it probably boils down to custom options, preferred manufacturers, and shaft setups. I know I may not be much help in offering a winner, but you wouldn't go wrong with any of them. Here are a few opinions: Softness Most to Least Yamaha Epon Tourstage Kamui Launch Highest to Lowest Tourstage Epon Yamaha Kamui Forgivness Kamui, Tourstage Epon, Yamaha Distance All tie Look from top Traditional to Other Yamaha, Kamui Epon, Tourstage Sound Mute to Metallic Epon Yamaha Kamui Tourstage Workability High to Low Yamaha, Kamui, Epon Tourstage
  19. Well I am sold. The first ball I hit and I was amazed. I debated to buy these or not for quite a while. Probably one of my fav items bought in the past many years.
  20. I can't believe that nobody has mention the Sky Dream Jump Proto DP2010. IMO and probably Idrive's, the best wedge out. Great shape, setup, durability, and feel. Ever so soft. Got my vote. Not hype.

Masda's should be to me on Monday. Will let you know. The new Iomic's do look pretty though.

I found the Nowons very nice, but I can understand why some would think they were soft. Maybe that was why I liked them as they allowed my hands to relax. I have tried a few of the Iomics and never liked them after having the Nowons. I have some Masda slicks coming. I hope they will show this week.
  23. BB, Where are you located? The Ozik shafts would be pretty cool. Are they .355? I have always contemplated high end graphite but haven't wanted to bore the hosel. The feel is Endo crisp. I think the setup will surprise you! (good) I may try and get to a cold range tomorrow. I have a few things to try out.
