Today I hit my new Epon EMB 10.5 with square face, Graphite Design Tour Ad for EMB stiff shaft at 45.5", D2 SW. Look I am ok with the look. From the top looks like 460 with extra stuff around the back. Yes large, but not offensive. Beautiful finish, well made. As previously described it is more shallow than the 460. Shaft is nicely finished in a platinum color. Nice tough with little beatles flanking the label. Feel The club seems very well balanced. The waggle feels great and inspires confidence. Contact is very solid and loud. I like the loudness though...Perception of power. Feel isn't Epon 460 feel. Solid, but more tinny. Maybe the sound amplifies the tiny feel. Shaft is smooth and kicked fairly well. Not as much kick as my Roddio shaft experience, but more that my GD Quattro Tour MD 5 in stiff. Performance Ball flight was a slight draw with mid trajectory. Distance was maybe 10 yards better on the fly then my 460 with Roddio W6BA. Rollout was ok. Ok here is the kicker.......Swing as hard as you want with a pretty good swing and it only goes straight. Miss it a little, no problem. I can't see missing many fairways with this thing. Seriously I think I would need to try and aim it to the trees. Thoughts Saturday I will test again and get some launch numbers. I am curious to see spin numbers, etc. My feeling is that I may need slightly less torque in the shaft, but not much. Keep you posted.

Surprisingly Santa brought me a gift TODAY......My new Epon EMB with GD Tour for EMB, 10 degree, square face. stiff. That is right, it arrived this morning on XMAS day. Looks nice, can't wait to swing, hopefully tomorrow. This after DHL didn't deliver my kids large Xmas present yesterday. They said they tried to deliver at 9am, but no one was home. I was 10 feet from the door all day. DHL customer service admitted that this was a for hire driver and he probably didn't want to drive the distance to our house and therefore just said we were not home. They have filled a corporate complaint on my behalf. Thanks goodness Santa doesn't use DHL.

I am waiting for mine which has the GD Tour Ad for EMB. I also have the new GD Quattro Tech MD 5 here already. I installed it in another driver and will have reviews soon. Depending on the EMB, maybe I will try in it!

I see the new Epon EMB has MOI stats at 5500. The new USDM Cobra L4V has up to 5900. Question #1 - Is there a reason that higher isn't better? Question #2 - Is the Cobra really that high? Question #3 - The Cobra is 10% higher. Is that better?

I think these look very nice but a little clunky. I like to minimal offset yet the CG looks very low and forgiving.

Chris, Any idea how these shafts play in regards to stiffness?

How about add the new OnOff Black driver into the mix?

Yeah I am thinking hard about the Fourteens with the I10s or TC. I am just torn in that I know I am one of a few that have played the I10s, but am looking for more swing and bend profile info so I can decide. What are you thoughts? How about the KB Tour?

Chris, What is the Roddio shaft missing? Seems odd that the GD stock shaft has such high torque numbers. That is why I am curious about other shafts. Is the higher torque number better for the slower swinger and less aggressive swing? I am also interested in what fex info you are getting tipping the Roddio so much. Why the idea to try a 12 degree?
