Japan Shopping
If you have a friend there in the know, Yokohama has quite a few stores to shop. They're not exactly in the touristy parts but they're not too difficult to find.

interlock or overlap?
I have actually been using this grip the last few rounds and am really liking it. I had been feeling like the right hand was starting to take over a bit more than it should and on occasion was fatting the ball. For some reason I went double-overlap and bam! This has been my putting grip for some time and now I'm using it for all my shots. I just feel I'm able to hold my angle coming into the ball much better on the downswing and I still have control over the swing. I'm not one to change the mechanics of my grip but I feel this change was needed and am really very comfortable with it.

Best SPOON 3-wood - which one is your favorite ?
I'm a 2.8 capper - but still would like to get a set of blades. I may stick to a Mizuno custom grind combo set of Mp-60 and Mp-32 though - but I'm dreaming of buying either a Fourteen T-1000 set or a Tourstage X-blade 3 set - they look so darn purdy those blades and they tell you right away if your swing is OFF. Hey Claus, blades are the only way to go imo. I probably need a more forgiving club but why? Its not my swing that gets me in trouble, its my lack of time. I've three kids and one is trying to fulfill her dreams in ice skating so I'm quite busy. But I still get my golf in and I love my blades. I agree as well we need more input on this forum. I like to come on this site and read all the opinions, even if they differ from mine. I think it keeps things fresh and in perspective.

Best SPOON 3-wood - which one is your favorite ?
I have to back up Chris's sentiments about the G-Field GFT fairway wood. It is a great performing wood. I've hit many great shots with it and the PT-8 shaft by Graphite Design. I'm starting to understand that shaft and how it performs. Played today and didn't miss a shot with that 4-wood. I myself am thinking about the new 3-wood by TourStage but I've yet to hit it.

EPON 460 any reviews?
I agree about the length. I have the Epon/Axiv-V. I hitting huge tee shots 260-265 carry, easily. I actually hit one 360 total yards (wind aided) a couple rounds back. Had 9-iron into the par-5. I've never hit that far no matter the conditions. Next hole hit it 335. I can't say enough good things about this club and now that I've been playing it for some time it just keeps getting better. Chris, were are those Epon smiley flags?? :tsg_smiley_laughatyou:

The TSG Official X-Drive Thread!
Hey thanks for the quick review. Look foward to more info from you and others who will be hitting this beauty. QUOTE(corky3 @ Dec 13 2006, 09:19 AM) Currently playing a 435 and wondering if it's worth moving on/up to a 460.... anybody got any views + or - ?? Let me chime in and say that going up to 460 is only about 30cc so I wouldn't think one would notice much in terms of set up or look of the club. I think what you would gain however would be a tad more forgiveness on those days when the swing may not be to your liking. If you hit the sweetspot on a 430 you're going to hit the sweetspot on a 460 and may get better length. Some say you can't work the ball with a 460 driver but I tend to disagree with that statement from my own experience. I myself did use to play smaller heads, but I actually like the 460 now. I just feel I'm getting everything I can out of the club by using that size. Just my opinion.

EPON 460 any reviews?
I've hit two different drivers with the Axiv V-spec. One the Callaway ERC III and two, the Epon. The Epon blew away the Callaway on all accounts easily. I did a review of that comparison if interested on this site previously. The Axiv-V is indeed a great shaft and the Epon an even better head. Combined, its pretty damn sweet.

New X-Drive Characteristics at Inpakuto.com
The 460P seems to be the optimal for my swing characteristics. I like the very low spin. Problem is, I'm very happy with the Epon to even think about changing now. I will however, be giving those new X-blades along with the 13.5 3-wood a look. I must say, the more I look at the '07 lineup for TourStage the more I'm impressed. These clubs really fit my eye.

EPON 460 any reviews?
The Epon Technicity 460 continues to be the strongest driver I've used to date. I just love this club. I have the Axiv V8076 in mine. I feel for those of you living in places where the weather limits your golf. Golfnut100 you are going to love this club. :tsg_smiley_yes:

Inpakuto: Live Pics of new X-Drive 2007
Gocchin or anyone, if you have pics of the new X-blades for '07 would love to see them. Would also like any info about this new line. I assume they are forged by Endo? Very much interested in how they keep one from going left.

Who is playing the X-Drive 2007?
I love the look of clubs that sit open. Chris, any idea on the specs of just how open the P-series is? I'm still very commited to my Epon but I do love me the TourStage.

Import shafts --which one???
I have only played the Epon with an Axiv-V but I absolutely love it. However, if you looking to hit it high I don't think that's the shaft. I like low-medium boring shots. I think the Axiv-V is great for that. For a higher trajectory along with a draw, I think the original Axiv would definitely be something to look into. You've hit the 6568M which has a mid kickpoint. Another shaft worth considering is the Diamana Red. It is promoted as being a shaft which promotes a draw as well as hitting it high. I'm thinking that would be the one to try if I were you making the decision. You have had success with the blue but stated it felt a little boardy. The red is supposed to be without that boardy feeling. The red also might take some of the spin off to get you some of that roll you're looking for. I haven't hit any of the other ones so I can't tell you much about them. The Oziks cost a lot of money and from what most people have written don't seem to be worth the cost. Good luck.

Import shafts --which one???
Madball, let us all know what it is you're looking for in a shaft and any other descernable characteristics you want. There are many different shafts out there for different types of golfers.
