Fourteen TB 1000 Forged
I don't notice any difference in thickness. Yes I play x in all the irons, but I went s in the two wedges. They'll match any shot the X-100 can and then some. Much more playable. Feel is greatly enhanced and dispersion is tighter. Do a search on this site and you'll find quite a lot written about them. There are other shafts out there, but I believe these deserve a long look.

Fourteen TB 1000 Forged
I haven't hit the Fourteens, but in terms of suggesting a shaft, I would whole-heartedly recomend the Nippon Shaft 1150GH-Tours. I too use to play DG X-100's. Just got bored, was looking for something else and the 1150's were it. Much more enhanced feel. They'll give you mid ball flight and in my opinion, won't sacrifice any distance. In fact, much better dispersion. I better stop here before I go on and on. :tsg_smiley_laughatyou: :tsg_smilie_tired:

Choosing the right Axiv shaft
Mine is conforming. They do make a non-conforming one but if you get it from Chris he'll only order the conforming driver if you don't specify. Of course, if you want the non-conforming one, Chris can get that as well. I believe if I remember the non-conforming has blue markings on the bottom. I know its in one of the older threads.

Inpakuto: Live Pics of new X-Drive 2007
Thanks so much Gocchin!! :tsg_smilie_cool: You really have added wonderful insight to the boards!! I must say, the Miyazato brothers and Kondo-san won't be the only ones with those 13.5's!! Now all I have to do is decide between the Axiv-V 8080 or the Diamana White board. Decisons . . . decisions Of course, then there is the new Quattro shaft. :tsg_smilie_rolleyes:

Choosing the right Axiv shaft
I can swing aggressive and smooth and still hit very well. I will say aggressive, but in tempo swings are well rewarded, but I do on occasion lay off of it and hit like a stinger or knock down shot and its fine. Of course you lose distance but I use that for when distance isn't an issue. I also use that swing to work on timing and control when I go out and spend 1/2 or 3/4 of a day at an all grass range I like to go to. I posted this thought in the shaft review section but you just need to really think about your swing and ask yourself which days do you have more of, really good ball striking days when an X flex is most beneficial or do you have less than stellar days more when the SX would still get it done, but an X would actually be hurtful. Also when you play a round do you go all out (but still in control) on each driver swing (then X), or do you tend to hold back more for control (then SX). I will say I like the 8076 a lot. It gives me what I want. I would love to hit the 8080 just to see what would be like. Actually right now, I'm trying to decide between it (the 8080) and the Diamana White Board to put in the new TourStage 3 wood. Good luck with you decsion.

Choosing the right Axiv shaft
Having hit the Axiv-V's and reading your swing descriptin, 7080 sounds like a match for you. TourSpecGirl is right on!!

AXIV V series vs Diamana White board
Chris, Here's a question. I believe Tourspecgirl has mentioned in the Diamana fitting the White also has some anti-left to it as well. If one already draws an Axiv-V, would you believe the White would draw even more? Or maybe would it come down to the comparative stiffness of both shafts as to which one draws more.

Quatro TEC's flexibility
Zerohandy, I would say stick with the S shaft. Based on your swing speed and the way you described your swing, the S will reward you on days your swing is good and help you out on those less than stellar days. Don't be too concerned with the torque of the club. Just my two cents.

Inpakuto: Live Pics of new X-Drive 2007
Great work Gocchin. You wouldn't by chance have any pics of the new X-Drive 3 wood, 13.5 degree?

would you buy a 700$ driver without testing it?
As everyone else has said, it all comes down to knowing your swing. Knowing your swing, and I'm mean honestly knowing your swing goes a long way. Read as much as you can and as many opinions as you can and yes, then $700 or more is well worth it. If you don't do those two things, then you'll only wind up disappointed in my opinion.

MIZUNO MP-100
Very beautiful, but I believe clubs are made to be hit. Especially those made so well and so sweet!!

TourStage X-Blade 2007 Limited Edition irons
S200 as the only option is weak. They market it for the aggressive, strong player, but I don't know many of those who hit S200's. Come on TourStage!! You're freakin' killing me. Glad to hear you can do all sorts of customizing now, Chris. Who is Koyama-san? Is he like the "Hattori Hanzo" of the golf world?? :tsg_smiley_laughatyou: Seriously, though, would like to find out more about these when you know.

TourStage X-Blade 2007 Limited Edition irons
Hey Chris, Was just visiting the proshop. New X-blades for 2007 :tsg_smiley_yes: Please tell me they are or can be ordered with another option other than the S200's, ie, Nippon 1150's !! It would be a damn shame if thats all they offer.

Anyone here play an Axiv in a Fairway Wood?
If you can wait until the new TourStage 3woods come out, I'll write a reply :tsg_smiley_laughatyou: Thinking of putting the V 8080 in one. Having said that however, I've placed other top end shafts such as Diamanas and Speeders in both woods and utilities and they have always proven to be very useful.

As always Chris, you know just what to say and how to say it!! :tsg_smiley_yes:

PT7
I have the PT-8 in x-stiff in a 4 wood as well. I'll second Chris that it is a solid shaft. It "feels" to me however that its a little loose, a little too much play; but, I'm hitting great shots with it. Its a different type of feel than my Exotics 3-wood with a Diamana Blue Board s83 in x-stiff. I also happen to really like that club as well. Low piercing trajectory with it. In comparison to that set-up the PT-8's trajectory is slightly higher but it gets up well, then flattens out as it flies downrange. It seems to just stay in the air at a constant heigth. The kickpoint on the PT-8 is mid while the Diamana has a mid-high kickpoint. Even though; as its been stated on this site many times, that difference is only inches, I do believe it makes a difference to how a shaft "feels" to an in individual. I've actually been hitting both clubs daily into my net to compare the feel of both. Very different from each other but I have to say I like them both quite a lot. I've used the PT-8 the last few rounds and have been very impressed with the quality of the golf shots. Right now, I'm swinging better than I ever have. I'm really tuned into my swing and things are just clicking right now so I can attest with a fair amount of accuracy what these clubs are like. I'm definitely going to get the new Tourstage 3-wood when it comes out but I'm just not sure what shaft to go with. There's at least 3 or 4 that I'm thinking of and all are solid shafts.

TSG site slowed by new videos?

TSG site slowed by new videos?
Blader-X replied to danhaden's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI think it all depends upon the speed of your system. I have no problem at home and I have cable/DSL but at work I get the same problems you're mentioning above. I'm not sure what they run at my work but its not nearly as fast as the hookup here at the house.

New 2007 X-Drive in the bag!
I'm definitely in for the 13.5 degree 3+ wood. That's exactly what I'm looking for. Sign me up for one Chris when they become available!! Now I need to think about what shaft I want. I like the Diamana's having gotten great results with the Blue. Maybe go with a White board? The Graphite Design PT-8 in my 4 wood is a very solid shaft, but has a little too much play in it for my taste. An Axiv-V perhaps?? That shaft is the best I've ever hit in a driver, I wonder how it would do in 3-wood? Any TSG'ers with any thoughts, feel free to chime in!!

US Retail Drivers and Japanese Drivers Lofts
Its more of the tolerance of the individual companies' clubs. US clubs can be up to 2 degrees of loft off in some cases across the same line of clubs. Best way is to measure your current club to see what your true loft really is. A company such as Epon has much tighter tolerances but Chris could enlighten you more on what other companies specs/tolerances are. I wll say I don't think you would be dissappointed with some of these import clubs.

any word of g-field drivers yet???
Chris, Can you tell us any details on the above mentioned clubs? How do the G-Field FW's and UT's differ from what they offer already? Is Epon coming out with a blade iron model?

Tourstage 2007 X-FW SUS630 + 455 miraged face
The G-Field 4 wood is pretty sweet, but I'm looking for a mid to high face 3 wood which just bombs the ball. That's always fun.

Tourstage x-blade mb (vs) Bridgestone j33b
Yes, they overwater here at many courses. I hate it but it the softness doesn't affect my X-blades with my swing.

Tourstage 2007 X-FW SUS630 + 455 miraged face
Curious to know more about this club. If Chris or anyone else could enlighten me I would appreciate it. Face angle on these looks square. Can they be ordered open? Is the face height of the 3-wood mid to high? Looks like it to me from the pics, but I could be wrong. How does it compare to the face height of the Epon 3-wood? Will it be offered in a choice of different shafts? If not, Chris are you guys up and running for installing shafts? What is the loft of the the 3+ wood, 13 degrees, perhaps? I just got a G-Field 4 wood and am very impressed with that but as you all know, a ho is always on the look for the next thing. Now I'm looking at getting a monster 3-wood and this club and the Epon have caught me eye. Thinking of trying this with the new Diamana white board or the GD PT-8 which is in my new 4-wood and is really impressing me each and everytime out. This club looks awesome from the display, can't wait to see actual pics. Many thanks to any and all who can answer my queries!!

Tourstage x-blade mb (vs) Bridgestone j33b
You've got that right!! Even in SoCal, way, way, way too much water. I know we have desert like conditions here, but I've seen too many courses with way too much water. I've actually started to see some areas of some courses damaged from all the water. Its kind of ridiculous sometimes. I play the X-blades and I can say if your swing is steep, the sharper edge on soft conditions will not favor you. I love the X-blades but will admit a blunted leading edge would make these irons even better.
