  1. Non conforming drivers are not legal for professional or club comps or handicap purposes worldwide now.
  2. I don't want to be the spoiler here but if you feel the stock R on the MX700 is a bit stiff, you would find the Red R or ilima R to be just as stiff if not stiffer due to lower torque of 3.6* vs. 5.0* on the stock Exsar R at 45g (JDM spec MX700).
  3. T, I like Black and White but costs an arm and a leg.
  4. It is a French brand but under license by Japan to produce a Japanese line for the local market.
  5. Hi T, I dug up my PRGR Driving Spoon from the basement and it is also 43.5" and 15* same as the Yamaha. I bought it years ago and perhaps you can tell me the actual model year of this particular spoon from PRGR.
  6. Why all the concern if you are not going on tour (are you)?
  7. I personally think this new policy is to protect dealer/reseller outside Japan so they can keep the price high as in Japan. Take UK as an example now that they can charge their Epon products 30% higher than the rest of the world and local consumers would not have a choice anymore. ps: Sorry T, did not see your post before I wrote this one.
  8. I don't understand this fitting rationale. If you don't know your spec by now, you have no business being a club 'ho. I am fortunate enough to have access to a few Epon resellers/dealers but how do they intent to cover the whole of US and Europe in the short to medium term?
  9. What would the bounce of a normal set of irons be, 4 to 6 degrees? I don't know the answer but I would assume it would just be as much or as little as other sets of irons.
  10. You are correct as TS used the waffle (covered the whole cavity) at least 10 years ago before the X series (?) in one of their irons. I am surprised that they are bring back the design.

I have the AF701 with graphite and the AF901 25* with graphite and I do find that the 901 would hit longer (by 8 to 10 yards) than the 5 iron in 701 both with Graphite Design Tour AD. I would use the 901 25* in place of my 4 iron which I do not have (although almost the same loft as the 701 5 iron.)
  12. I've seen pic on the link above but want to give T the honour together with his usual great write up.
  13. Ha, there is an EMS after all. Since the cat is out of the bag now so might as well post the AF151 pic now, T.
  14. C, it is on the proshop already. It does remind me of another set of irons but not sure which. Did not know GS had a CB.
  15. T, Now you have to find some nice matte black satin finish shafts to match these beauties.
  16. Get Gocchin's Epon 380 on the board now, if the shaft fits. It is cheaper than a used Vett and like nothing you had ever hit. Also look out for a Epon ZR460 if you can find one.
  17. If you can get the latest JDM drivers, why would you want to get the US version of Japanese brand drivers instead? For Mactec, I believe the North America model is at least a year behind and have different shafts.
  18. I do not have the 3 wood but do have the driver and 5 wood. While I think the driver is exceptional, the 5 wood is nothing special IMO (could be just my bad swing or the shaft). Also tried a friend's UT but was not particularly impressed with it either.
  19. My EK has "Made in Japan' on the hosel.

MD, didn't you ask the same or similar question awhile back. Any conclusion at that time?

Were you fitted at Epon or some other fitter?
  22. This Fi-1 looks so much like my Matsumoto and I wonder whether it was designed/forged by Kyoei as well but finished elsewhere.
  23. Is the JPGA model the same as the $500 prototype on the proshop? What is the major difference between this tour model and regular Griffin? I have been considering installing the Griffin on one of my Legacys but not sure whether it should be a R or SR. I am looking for an installed CPM of 235 to 240 at 45". The stock Legacy S flex is measured at 234 cpm at 45".
  24. So by the same logic, the 2009 Legacy Aero is basically a rebadged FT-9?
  25. That's still a good price.
