Yamaha Inpress xv iron
Let's put it in another way B; I have yet to meet anyone that dislike the V Forged (if he is a half decent ball striker.)

Yamaha Inpress xv iron
I had a set of 701 and now a set of V Forged. I can only tell you that the V would not have more offset than the 701. How much less I cannot tell since I have sold my 701 last year to do a side by side comparison. If you a relative good ball striker with irons, you just cannot go wrong with the V Forged.

It looks exactly like my Geotech EK.

Kamui + Quadra Combo
I couldn't make the Yamaha Power Spoon work either but do not have the EGG spoon. Basically given up on all the spoons and stick with a 4 wood from now on.

Kamui + Quadra Combo
I had the Crazy on my EMS before but just couldn't make it work now like you, I am extremely happy with the Fire Express. The 55 R is just perfect for me (being a senior golfer.)

Romaro clubs??
Their new 455 driver is very attractive and great shape. I only had a chance to hit it once but it was the wrong shaft and could not see the performance. Nevertheless, driver head felt good and sounded good. I was told it is a low spin driver hence a long one.

shallow and forgiving 5 wood for senior player??
C, You should consider the Yamaha Impres X D 4 wood for your dad. I game the older model 4 wood and love the somewhat shallow head and great feel. I put in the GD SF shaft and lower the launch a bit from the soft stock R flex. I also game the EMS with FE 55 R but have no love for any Epon FW.

Question re Club origin Taylormade r7 XR
99% of all golf club headcovers, regardless of JDM or USDM, are made in China which is no indication that the actual club was made there.
-
Question re Club origin Taylormade r7 XR
It probably mean for the China market as my JDM version of V Steel that I bought in Hong Kong has the same reflective label on the shaft with 'HK' instead of 'CH.'

Shaft length for EMS, any suggestion?
8 g lead tape is close to 10 inches long. That's a lot of tape on the driver head.

Shaft length for EMS, any suggestion?
I really don't think there would be too much difference with 45 or 46" playing length. I have mine at 45.5" but my EMS head weight is 199.7 g together with my 53 g Machine Proto and a 50 g Nowon Expert grip, the SW came out to be D0.5. My target SW is D0 to D1. I was told that the weight of the EMS could be as light as 193 g which makes a big difference in SW at certain playing length. I am more concern with SW than that 1 inch difference.

The CB looks even more like Gauge.

Would it be the lighting but seem like there is a hint of gold tint to the finish?

My Bag
HI Nam, did you have the Power Spoon at the original length with the QT? I have the stock R flex but it is a very light shaft and a bit soft. Do you have to do some tricks to adjust to the desired swing weight due to heavier shaft?

Compact head pear shaped driver for the average player
You still have one, eh? I would never sell my last (3rd) 460.
-
Compact head pear shaped driver for the average player
The old Epon ZR460, if you can find one, would definitely fit the bill of a 460cc in a compact shape. For a readily available driver, probably the new JDM Titleist VG3 designed for the average players. As for Yamaha, wouldn't you be looking at the D201 for the average players rather than the V model?

tourstage v7000 irons??
The one thing you would notice is that the club head of the V7000 is much larger (clunkier?) than the current JDM player's CBs. The V7000 was TS attempt for game improvement irons back then and the offset is much greater than those offered nowadays and it has reversed offset for the short irons. Other than that, it is forgiving, soft and long. My old set has been passed around amongst my beginner friends for awhile but ended up with me again recently.

JDM Hybrids
Instead of the usual suspects, you should take a look at the new Mactec (Japanese MacGregor) NV-F hybrid. Mactec is popular in Asia and good value for money and now they are 100% made in Japan.

PRGR egg spoon
T, I do not know about EGGs but there are all sort of fake PRGR from China, both woods and irons. I have seen and played fake GN502 and 505 driver and FW. Most of the time, they would just sell heads only.

You know what they say about injured golfers. Rest well so you can play well in July.
