  1. Thats what I read from Sean Foley on GD recently about hitting down with the driver. Unfortunately this is a new trick that this old dog cannot learn. It might work if one has the swing speed as Tiger but for us mere mortals, it might not work effectively (hitting down with a driver). Since the Premia has a deep face, I would need to tee the ball a bit higher and more towards my left side than I would do so with my EMS which is mid height.
  2. I bought a Royal Decoration in R2 flex for a senior doctor friend to see whether he can regain some lost distance. Mind you that he is 76 years old and has a bit of a hip problem. Put it in a PRGR something head at 46" and SW of D0 and with his low to mid 70 mph swing speed, he was able now to drive about 180 yards which is at least 10 yards more roll than his SL4 GD shaft. He was a good player at low teens when he was younger and the RD is able to give him some renewal energy/interest in his golfing life. He is so happy with the RD shaft that he ordered another one with the Crazy head this time. Perhaps the RD is not for everyone but certain works for my friend. The CPM for the R2 is 205 at 46" and SW of D0. I do not know the head weight of the PRGR.
  3. I think TSG needs more testers for the 'R' flex stuff. :-)
  4. I think it has something to do with computer or the speed of the processors. Seems to recall T talked about his overclocking days.
  5. The old NSX is definitely better looking. I think it has a more classy front end. Just don't like the usual Acura 'teeth.'
  6. Although I visit Japan on average about once or twice a year, I have never made it to the golf show until this year (next weekend.) Besides those members residing in Japan or Tokyo, just wondering who else would be attending.
  7. I have been going down to Florida for a week around end of Feb or beginning of March for the past 10 years at various locations. Depending on your own need but for us four guys (would not bring families) on a guys' trip with wall to wall golf, we find that Orlando offers the best compromise of good golf, accommodation and good food at a reasonable price. In the beginning we would stay at Disney and play all the usual suspects but in recent years, we have been staying at Reunion Resort which offers 2 to 4 bedrooms condo and 3 18 holes of championship courses. Besides the 3 courses on site, the other courses we always return would be The Orange County National, the home of the PGA Q school. You can imagine the two courses there are not exactly your retirement community courses. Besides golf, there is the Annika Sorenstam Golf Academy on site at Reunion and while you might not get Annika to teach you personally, you could certainly get her sister Charlotta. If you are going to the Tampa area, be sure to play Saddlebrook, perhaps Innisbrook but World Wood is definitely a must.
  8. Its JPGA and not JLPGA : )
  9. The loft is 10.5 but don't know the actual cor. Only know this particular model is non conforming.
  10. Since there are some interest in Hi-Cor (non conforming) drivers in recent days, I am selling this Romaro Hi-Cor driver (head only) for a friend. The head is pear shape and deep face. The head has no chip or sky mark and face is in great shape. Sole has some discoloration of the Gold tint due to some use but otherwise in excellent condition. The head weight is exactly 200g. Asking $450 $350 shipped anywhere via EMS. http://www.romaro-sp....com/index.html
  11. The lowest bounce on wedges I can find and do use is the new(er) Geotech GT forged bite V2. Most loft would have a 5* bounce version including the 60*. While it is not big name, the GT wedges are, nevertheless, forged in Japan.
  12. Hi Cor=nonconforming
  13. Oh really? That must have been months ago?
  14. I thought they did make a number of them and basically all pre-sold even before being put on market.

The problem with the stock Ryoma Premia is the light head. It is most likely in the range of 188 to 190g. One must balance the club (with lead tape or other method) carefully if you were to change to a heavier or shorter shaft.
  16. This set starts at 6 iron and I measure it at 38".
  17. I am selling a set of very lightly used Epon 701 6 to AW shafted with Graphite Design Tour AD 50. Grip is Golf Pride Mult-compound in Black/Blue to match shaft color. Tour AD is single flex in L but does not play that soft. This set is perfect for a senior player or a strong lady player. Swing weight is D1. I am selling this set for a senior friend but did have the chance to play with it and L flex does not play like wet noodles. The price is $780 shipped anywhere via EMS and PayPal gift. Thanks for looking. (6, 7 and 8 iron) (9, PW and AW)
  18. I believe this is the first time that Romaro Ray ever offered here. Selling this lightly used set of irons (heads only) for a friend. The cost of Romaro is just slightly below of Epons. This model is supposed to be the its forged players cavity (S20C) model with a undercut and some sort of polymers insert in the cavity to dampen vibration. The price is $90 per head or $800 for all 9 pieces shipped via EMS. Since it is not my set, I have not try them out but the heads look great. http://www.romaro-sp....com/index.html 6 and 7 iron Top line of Romaro, Epon 701 and 2010 Legacy forged

You want a bag to carry balls to the range like a shag bag? I do not think Epon even makes a 'gun' bag for the range so its unlikely that they would have a bag for balls.
  20. Phil, Instead of the QT, you might consider the GD SL4 or 5 R2 instead. Its a great shaft for senior and ladies. I was told that it is still available in Japan thru this proshop.

Philip, PM sent. The head is off the market.
