  1. Great looking irons ! My question is... where do we go from here... I know the answer to that will be made clear.
  2. Not out in the US Chris.
  3. PM (Private Message) TourSpecGolfer ... That's Chris and he owns this site and Catalog.

Hah, I love it.... "The Longest Driver In Golf". Whew
  6. There has been a lot written on this issue. You should do a Search on some of those keywords and you will find a ton of info. I tried to search on this the other day, but I think the post was either deleted or lost when the new board went up. Couldn't find it (the one w/GaugeDesignGal, etc.) Hipcheck - Great Avatar as usual. Basically the post about Gauge America went something like this. Gauge America is a rip off of the originals started by a disgruntled former employee. The real deal is the Japan Gauge stuff, no comparison in quality, craftsmanship and design.

  8. Lighter shafts = less swingweight. PX shafts are lighter than DG's. But it also depends on the grip you put on it and the shaft length. they play about a 1/2 to 1 flex stiffer than the Standard Rifles. See http://www.swingweight.com for a ton of information on this.
  9. Just when we thought it was safe to go into the water....
  10. ---------That was a great post Chris. It takes awhile for many of us to understand that and as you get older you begin to understand it out of necessity. You just don't feel like beating your head against the wall anymore. There are a few clubs that I have that I won't get rid of because even if I don't have time to practice as much as I like, I know I'll be able to go out and hit them fairly well. But, that doesn't keep me from trying everything else out that I can. :o You have been honest to the point where it could talk someone out of buying something. Thanks for that integrity.
  11. Great photos! Those MB's look interesting with that milled look in the section on the back. Looks like they keep the Gauge offset with these as they had in the CB's. Do you know what their philosophy is on that? Great looking irons & putters.
  12. A fat hitter would be better with more bounce. Thin - less bounce Here's the Gauge specs. Bounce is the number on the bottom.... 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 PW Loft 20 23 26 29 33 37 41 46 ライ角 59 59.5 60 60.5 61 61.5 62 62.5 FP(mm) 3 3.2 3.3 3.4 3.6 4 4.2 4.4 重量(g) 243 250 257 264 271 278 285 293 Bounce 0 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 Here's the MP-27's.... 13. I had the G's and I just ordered the MP's. I wanted to make the change because of the bounce and the offset in the shorter irons on the Gauge. For my swing and the courses I usually play, I prefer a little more bounce and minimal offset. The strong lofts in the Gauge didn't bother me, in fact I liked it. They are both great irons and you won't go wrong with either. They are different though and I'd take a close look at the differences before you purchase.

When Joe Kwok or somebody else good Blueprints your irons, they take them apart, make sure they are correct in lofts, lie, weight and they might also put wooden dowels in the end of the shafts. They go over them and fine tune everything down to the last detail. From Swingweight.com - Here's the definition of FLO: Flat Line Oscillation. Process of making all of the shafts in a set of clubs the same frequency, either in raw or assembled form.

It's the Boron tip reinforcement. Fujikura had to change because of (what I heard) contract problems with the original company that had the tech for the older Triax which is supposed to be better.

The 652 is much more like the 661 which is not anything like the 660. The 652 was designed to replace the 661 in the U.S. and uses the updated Triax process, not the regular Triax. Just an FYI. Here's the 652 Specs and here is the 660TR Specs. The 660 is much more of a stouter shaft and plays much firmer than the 652 or the 661. Speeder - 652 TriaxEngine updated -46 in. 65 grams 3.8 torque mid kick Speeder - 660 Triax - 46 in. 72 grams 3.4 torque high kick The tip is much firmer in the 660 and results in a much lower ball flight combined with the kick point.

Why would Fujikura make two shafts alike? They go for different characteristics in each of their shafts. If you like the 660 get the same shaft and put it in another driver. IMHO
  18. Cash: Thanks for the report, knock 'em dead. All except for Paula of course!
  19. Shouldn't be too hard to get. I see those heads around. Either here or on eBay. Then just pick up a 661 to put in it. The shafts can be bought here through Tourspecgolfer. The 661 is held in higher regard than it's replacement in the U.S. (the 652). Just keep your eyes open for the head. Your Subject line kind of threw me though. The 540XD isn't a TP. But they are Deep Face. Tour is available.

Hey Mike! Happy Birthday and many more! Jim
  21. Just an FYI. Most internet accounts come with a home page. That will allow you to host the photos yourself. Directions should come with your provider.
  22. I think wedges are almost like putters in the personal preference type of category. But, while I really like my Zodia's that doesn't keep me from trying others. I think the Mizuno's look very good too. I look for certain relief and bounce/loft characteristics. I don't like my wedges real flat and I need the help off the turf or out of the sand. I also like the leading edge to be able to lay flat when I open it up a little.

My $.02 1. The NS 1050’s and the NS 950’s are lighter and will let you feel the head more. The 950’s are closer to the other shafts you mentioned by Royal Precision. These play a little softer than usual spec. 950's = In between weight of Traditional Steel and Graphite - 95 grams - For Swingers More Than Hitters - More Power than Traditional Steel, but Excellent Control - Less Stress on Body, Less Shock 1050's - Lightweight Steel Model - 105 grams - For Golfers Who Prefer Slightly Lighter Than Traditional Steels - For Hitters, Especially in 'S' and 'X' Flex - Already Have Distance, Crave Consistency The Project X play very, very stiff and I’d go down at least a ½ flex or more to achieve the same flex as your other selections. Lower ball flight and a stiff feel. Really for the hitter as opposed to the swinger. For stronger players. Project X shafts are frequency sorted and a constant weight throughout the set. The PW is a shorter shaft but it weighs the same as the 3 iron shaft. The Standard Rifles are a good alternative to Dynamic Gold with a little higher ball flight and very snappy. Classic shafts. Frequency Matched. 2. Wedges and wedge shafts are really personal. Some guys play heavy and stiff and others play light. I’d say the majority of people play heavier shafts in their wedges for control and stability.
  24. Take a look at Golf Mega Town at http://www.bs-golf.com/ Then just click on the Catalog link on the left hand side. Other than that here on Tourspecgolf, see the link to catalog. There is quite a bit of Tourstage in the shopping area and for questions or info, like Zojo said, PM TourSpecGolfer.
  25. I agree, Chris it looks great!
