I'll add Graphite Design to that mix too.

Great FW Woods. Kicked out my TM 200 Steels. Long! And I agree. Get the right shaft in them.
  3. The Mizuno's are taper tip not parallel. :-D And I am guessing but I think the Mr-23's would also be taper tip . Mike that's right. Thanks for adding that.
  4. The Mizuno's are taper tip not parallel. :-D
  5. I haven't tried the 904, but I'm very happy with the NV Hybrid 85. Many of the characteristics of steel but with the trajectory and distance of graphite. Plays stiff and stable. 84 grams and 2.5 Torque
  6. FAQ replied to Godfather1's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Those differences in Torque aren't that much. If you tend to slice, you can help yourself out with a higher Torque. Like 3.6 or above. The lower Torque shafts will not help you in closing the face of the club. Higher torque will help the clubface close and help you take out the right side. So... Higher Torque - good for faders Lower Torque - good for pullers

Jeff: Most of the guys here are getting imported shafts and clubs. Check out the catalog section. Here's the link to the GD Japan site. http://www.gd-inc.co.jp/
  8. IMHO when everything else is the same including shafts, tipping and the lofts are truly accurate, I think the R7TP plays higher.
  9. FAQ replied to luthcol's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I get a higher trajectory and a different distance (because of the loft) with the Mizuno. The F/UT's are more boring trajectory and stronger. The NV hybrid shaft in the UT's probably have a lot to do with it too.
  10. FAQ replied to luthcol's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I agree. I still have the F/UT's but when I just want to substitute one club between my 5 wood and my 4 iron, this is a perfect fit. Great clubs.

 Coming from a guy that plays the Cobra 440SZ. Long and Loud! Kiddin!

Huh? Sorry, this is a little tough to understand what you mean. I think it needs to be very, very clear and specific... like which hand, which fingers of which hand.... Are you talking about the grip or the grip of the club... Like that.
  13. Sounds good. I don't really care about the rating system. When you buy something it's usually up to you to qualify the person anyway. Even on eBay and there are ways around those systems. I think what you are doing right now is actually better. I'm not into the music videos. BUT, anything that is Japanese is very cool for us US guys that don't get to see that stuff. I don't really care about the chat, but I know many guys here do. The site is great and with some minor tweaking it will just get better and better. Thanks for the opportunity to give some input!
  14. Joe, who did that work? CCC?
  15. Nice looking irons. Is that true when you say they made Gauge Irons for them? I'd like to know more about that statement. One thing I will say though is that they really need to tighten up their website.

Tough to see yourself and try to unlearn bad habits. Why not see a teacher and get some drills and advise from him?
  17. I really didn't need to read that last bit. Not really, though. I've done a lot of customization to my Z's that it would be almost impossible for me to switch to another iron. I put the PX shafts in with the dowels, searched and finally found some grips that I really like (Lamkin Crossline) and now have started on counterbalancing them. This past weekend I made a great comeback with them after a three week layoff due to an injury. The big kicker was holing a shot from 165 yards out on Sunday for an eagle. The Z's are just going to have to stay for awhile. Damn Chris! That's great! Notice I didn't say I've gotten rid of the Z's. I don't think I'll ever lose the 101's. I like them that much. Congrats on healing up so quick. I always seem to get those injuries that take 3 freaking months to heal. That's great. No kidding though, if you like the Z's you will like the 27's too. They are similar in many ways although the MP's have a thicker topline at setup, and the heads are larger.
  18. poppa - Just look in the B/S/T section here at TourSpec. You can find almost any Tour item available there. It's better than eBay because you can communicate much better here with the seller and also get some feedback.
  19. So what would you compare then to of the irons you have played? and how do you like them? there are a lot of choices out there for $1000+, still content? thanks Josh The MP27's are my favorites. The Z's are second. The others I didn't like. Closest ones are the Z's.
  20. That's tough to answer mainly because I had Project X shafts in the 202's. I'm playing standard Rifles in the 27's. The 202's felt much heavier and shorter. I get more length and better feel out of the 27's than I did with the 202's. 202's are downright clunky compared to the Mizuno's. They are like TourStage's answer to the X series Callaway. Both are very easy to hit straight though.
  21. LAX - It was a few weeks ago. I've gotten too spoiled by using a Gemini so I tried out a few others and I'm using the Cleveland right now. I still keep the Gem but I am experimenting with softer shafts and trying to get a little more length. I've heard good things about the G2 but I haven't tried it yet.
  22. Besides making these molds for easy to find drivers, I would make them for imported drivers where they offer conforming heads only in low lofts. That would be a good market that really needs to be addressed. Of course, I'm looking out for myself too. I'd like to see higher lofts with the Japanese conforming heads. Like the TourStage MR.
  23. I've had mine about a month now. Here are some of the other irons I've had in play over the past couple of years to give you an idea. TS Z101 (still have them), MR23 Blade, MR23 CB, TS202, X16 Pros, Cobra.. IMHO for my game, which is about a 10 handi, the 27's are the best irons that I have found. I still like the Z101's, but I'm keeping those as my back up. A great combination of Playability, Forgiveness, Length and Style. The honeymoon is still on for me!
  24. Even if i have the machine, I will never guaranty that i will not damage the head 100%. I've seen to many of them end up w/ oval hosel , chipped paint, collapse crown, etc. I've seen to many snapped hosel in the trash can of the tour van. In the old days, I've bend PT head, TM burner, etc...but those are steel and long neck. Risk is definitely a lot smaller. It's definitely possible if you have a very experience bender, even that still to risky IMO. I would rather send it back to TM tour department or tour van and beg them to bend it. Reduce the risk but still quite visible IMO. I wouldn't even send my driver to a tour van for bending. The risk is to high IMHO. For god sake, It's $700 club. :surprize: Ask for a written guaranty if any one of them say they can do it without any risk involve. ps: XF, We should hook up and get Oscar to play Sonoma. I'm sure it's still pure after last week Tour Champions. Cheers! Joe Thanks Joe!
  25. Chris, you are in Australia? Are you guys bending the R7TP's there? Can you bend them for loft too?
