  1. Jeff: Do you do this? If so what models of drivers do you recommend for this type of technique? Also, The original question was referring to a TM R7TP, Do you bend that one? What shop are you with? Thanks in advance
  2. I find that hard to beleiev seeing that my avg driving distance is only 250 -260 yards. Your LM printouts should include your Swing Speed. Also, that's about right if you aren't really optimized yet. That's carry so that would work with that estimated SS. If you want to change your launch angle 2* then you need to change your head loft.
  3. The main difference is the head of the TP sets up square. Besides the shaft and the weight kit. The Retail R7 sets up closed. As far as the shaft. That's up to you and your fitter. you mean the retail tp sets closed as opposed to the tour tp? just making sure cuz it sounds like you're comparing the tp r7 to the normal retail r7. Yes, I was talking about the Retail R7 and any R7TP. Sorry I misread the original post.
  4. Man, those irons are radical. It's very cool to see manufacturers stretching the limits a little
  5. Driver heads actually do not bend. Only if the hosel is made out of metal. The only way to do it is if the clubmaker has a mold to fit that head. They heat them and try to coax them open. Another way is to drill, but I'm not sure if you can achieve 2* that way. Actually both of these techniques are very risky to damage the head. The only place I know that has the molds is on the Tour Truck and they shatter them often. I bet Joe has some good comments for this.
  6. Tony: Here's a link to the Catalog section of this site to ZCOM's and whatever else you might think of in regards to shafts. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/catalog/index....8123795342f8ba6

I have to say. I hate that when prices are misquoted. Todd you should look at the catalog right here on this site. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/catalog/produc...products_id=428

I have to say those things look ridiculous. I'm all for the punk golf thing, but that X looks really tacky.

You are probably just able to control the 3 better because it's a smaller head. I'd suggest to call Joe Kwok and let him ask you a few things about your swing and ball flight. He's very good with fitting and he could provide you with some very good answers.. It's hard to recommend without knowing more about your swing. I'll stick with the NV's being unfriendly though. Here's Joe's number - (650) 757-8310 Best time is about 11A to 2P Pacific Time. He's a good guy.
  14. I wish Titleist would rethink their whole thing with bore through heads. It makes it too hard to figure out how a shaft will work in it. Big pain. I liked the 980F's but only with steel shafts.

Joe Kwok would be a good guy to speak to re: this. Here's his number. Call him between 11A and 2P Pacific Time... (650) 757-8310 He is one of the best there is and does incredible work. Very fair too. Cost you nothing to talk to him. He will be honest.

It depends on if you are looking for a square head or a closed head. If you are looking for something that sets up square and is very solid, I'd recommend the TourStage FUT's. I have 3 of them and with a good shaft they are great. The Hogan's set us pretty square too. Less expensive as well.

Hi Bobby: I personally don't think the NV's are "friendly" shafts at all. In fact I think they are very demanding especially in the stiffer versions. The 757 is a much friendlier shaft IMHO than the NV's. Also, it will give you a much lower trajectory than the 757.
  18. Thanks Chris, he's a great golfer and he really knows how to dress too!
  19. Dude: You seem to indicate that Phils has a gambling problem. You were right in saying it was financial reasons. Cally paid a lot more to Phil and Titleist really missed the boat. They wouldn't come up with the dough. That's it. :smile1:
  20. Tee - This is really a pretty tough order. Not too many guys have actually played all these irons. Maybe Chris here at TourSpec but especially the Hiro's is kind of rare. Just wanted to give you a heads up in case it takes a while to get a response.

Nice Chris! Thanks. Is there any word on the loft selections per USGA conforming? I'm wondering if these will follow the same idea as their previous releases.
  22. Can it be done? - yes How much? - I don't know Turn around - companies differ Here's someone who might be able to answer those questions. They only talk about chrome on the website but they do more than that... http://www.theironfactory.com/index.html
  23. My favorites right now are the MP Mizuno's (in the bag) and the Zodia's (my favorites for years). But, I am anxiously awaiting some of the new Japan finished Scratch. They look very nice.

Here's a few... the info is inches, weight, torque and kick. With that swingspeed and if you are aggressive I'd stick with the lower torque shafts. While I agree that the 660TR is a great shaft, the characteristics are nothing like the GD Purple Ice that he likes.
