  1. No difference at all.

    3 Wood is 140cc 5 Wood is 130cc 7 Wood is 130cc
  3. The problem with Tour Clubs (and I've had many) is that they are tweaked for some pro and your swing and needs may or may not match the work they have done to the club. I prefer square heads too and most tour stuff is open. What's the advantage? My choice is import because after having many Drivers and Irons from TourStage I came to the conclusion that domestic gear usually doesn't compare. That's a personal choice, but it was made after trying just about every manufacturer that is domestic distribution.

Joe: Thanks for posting this information. BTW those 553's are working out great for me. Thank you for everything! Jim
  5. Regular Rifles are frequency sorted. Project X shafts are frequency sorted and a constant weight throughout the set. The PW is a shorter shaft but it weighs the same as the 3 iron shaft. Just for comparison, Dynamic Gold shafts are weight sorted only. Frequency's can be all over the place.
  6. That's my question too. I'm not crazy about the socks w/ pads. Clubglove are you listening? I want something fast and easy. Like your FW covers. Anything from Japan? 8O
  7. That's what my club guy says too. Avoid the Quick Set. Use the other epoxy that takes longer to cure. It's harder and stronger.
  8. Definitely agree with Big Driver on this. Especially with the HKpro-80's in FW's. My favorites.
  9. Correction, he would CHARGE a fortune for this.

That's a tough call because they are really collectors clubs. I'd say around $600. But it's really whatever people will pay.
  11. Depends on the condition but I'd probably go with the Miura's because that model isn't really around very much. It would be between the TourStage and the Miura's and because of the scarcity, The 1005's. I'd probably sell them in a while and go with the TourStage though.

Hip - I haven't tried the F/ST's. I'm not even looking at other Utility clubs right now. I'm happy with the F/UT too. Really the only woods in my bag I'm fooling around with right now are my drivers. Trying different shafts with different heads and lofts. My pet project right now is a KZG Gemini. 8O

Personally, I don't get it. They look tacky and cheap to me and have absolutely no class at all. :?

  16. You just have to buy the flex that suits you. I play stiff in regular rifles and stiff in DG's. I use a 5.5 in Project X.
  17. That's great. I spoke to Scott today and said "Hey, I heard you are a TV star now".. He says... Yep! I'm really happy for those guys and especially Mike. Scott busts his butt working there. I'm waiting on a KZG Gemini head from them and they are going to shaft it.
  18. Allright! What was Scott talking about? Details! :)
  19. On the tour van they have a mold for the head to make sure it doesn't get damaged. IMO you would be better off buying a driver to the spec that you want rather than trying to bend or drill this to close the head. Plus, you would get more for resale of a Tour driver that has an open face.
  20. FAQ replied to scratchman's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
No performance difference. Rare to find a 757 that has a .350 tip. Very rare.
  21. I've had a few different E's with many different shafts and they were always more of a "Smack" sound. Muted Titleist sound to me. Nothing ever loud or sharp sounding.
  22. I'm with you on the Rifles. They feel much snappier and better to me.
  23. FAQ replied to dodge's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Not disappointed in the irons, sometimes by my swing though. The MR-23's don't give up a lot in accuracy for mis**ts, but they give up some distance. They are blades and have a smaller sweet spot.
  24. This is reprinted from a Golf Club maker/Fitter. I copied it a long time ago and thought it was great information on the differences between the two. Differences Rifle and Dynamic Gold Rifles are frequency (flex) sorted and Dynamic Gold's are weight sorted (Project X shafts are frequency sorted and a constant weight throughout the set. The PW is a shorter shaft but it weighs the same as the 3 iron shaft). My personal experience with all 3 (and some disagree) is that Rifles hit the ball higher than DG's. The rifle is a better shock absorber (not always a good thing), the sensicore is a plastic straw with a thin strip of foam wrapped around it like a barber shop pole. The sensicore does affect the shafts consistency. When you buy a set of rifle shafts you get a much more consistent set in both flex and weight. When you buy 8-10 DG's, you'll get a range of flexes. I bought 14 DG-S300 shafts a couple of weeks back just to get 8 that were the exact same flex. If you've got a good clubbuilder in your area, you can get the desired results with either shaft. It just takes a little more work with True Temper
