Tour vs. Retail NO BULL
For woods - No difference unless it's a head that isn't available in retail. It might not even have a square/open face. Taylor Made is the main company that has heads that were not released retail. It's changing though and they are releasing the newer heads to retail after a short testing period. However, the tour faces are not hotter and they are just set up for someone else's specs. I've had many tour clubs and I've had them tested by one of the best clubmakers around. The irons, wedges and putters - They are just set up for someone else. Tweaked to their spec w/ grooves, grind and whatever. Or could be prototypes.

What is GSS or DASS?
Chris: GSS always stood for German Stainless Steel. Specifically used on some of the very special Scotty's. I forget what DASS stands for  I have no idea on the exact mineral content of either of these.

Who has hit the R7?
Junk to you. By the way, did we really have to get political in this thread? To me, Cobras are Democrat drivers, loud and obnoxious. :D :D Yes, but, if these drivers are Republican and remind you of Todd when you see them, they would have bad haircuts and poor taste in clothes. Those are the kinds of things that I would have to deal with if I played them!

Here we go BOYS! Come and get it :) R7
We'll send Mike to knock on his door w/ an AK to make sure he is legit. OH BTW, Talk about ruining a market price. Hah - No kidding. This guy has no conscience. He doesn't care a damn about Tour Club sellers!

What do you think? the TS x-blade cb or MR-23 cb irons?
I've had the MR-23 CB's and really didn't care for them. I love Tourstage irons though. I've had quite a few different ones. I think the X-Blade CB's are really a next step for TourStage and they would stand head and shoulders above the MR's in forgiveness, accuracy and length. That being said, I just saw the new post from Chris about the 2004 MR CB's and Drivers. I'm willing to bet that the new MR-23 CB's are going to be a very hot set of irons. 8O

A little hard to believe though. The irons he's selling are the same kind of deal. 8O

Lookin 4 best Japanese Driver (non-conf. will do) and Irons
Welcome to the forum. I'm sure Chris (Tourstagegolfer) will chime in on this. Personally I would recommend to go and hit them all. Try them out. You have the great advantage of being able to play a non-conforming club. I would have kept both the TourStage X-Drive 390 and the TourStage MR-23 if I could have had them in a higher loft and been conforming. I'm very happy with my Gemini right now, but I'm always looking..

Who has hit the R7?
Personally, I get the heebie jeebies playing TM drivers because of Todd. I hope some day to get over it. It's like playing a Republican driver or something. Can't go there. There are lots of good drivers out there.

taper tip shafts to be installed in parallel head
Why not just get some parallel tipped shafts and sell the Tapers?

What is fair? Please LOOK!
I'm with you AKFLY just waitin' for competition to do its thing...I see nothing wrong with asking for 3K to see if someone will pay that. It becomes more interesting when you expect everyone else to ask the same outrageous price and nobody listens. A good rant always brings competitors around to your way of thinking  . at least it's good for a few laughs...thanks for bringing back the slam dunk FAQ...  I figured it was a special occasion!

What is fair? Please LOOK!
Unfortunately, it's not that simple and there is much more than meets the eye.
-
What is fair? Please LOOK!
Yeah, you guys, really. How about... Please do not feed the Repo Man. Place the Quad down and step away from the table.

What is fair? Please LOOK!
Time to resurrect the dunk! It's the playoffs!

Tourstage 390 X Drive Pro Spec 9*
That's a sweet driver! 8O

Gemini F.A.
From reading Joe's thread about open faces hitting the ball lower I believe this means closed. Joe was referring to loft in RELATION to the head being either open or closed.

do you like the x-drive 390 or the mr-23 us driver ?
>>>>>"TourSpecGolfer" Ive got an idea, I'm thinking about sending a couple non conforming TS drivers out to the U.S to be demoed by TSG'rs, Ive got a 9.5 MR23 and ViQ just sitting around. I will shaft them with Tour Release 27.3's in Stiff and send them out as long as the members don't beat them to badly and Insure/track them to each other so the next guy actually gets them. Of course this is for our most trusted members with good reputations. Good Idea :?: <<<<<< I think that's a great idea. Put me on that list. I bet people start using non-conforming clubs much more just to have some fun with.
