Royal collection D/S 11.5* + 13* arrived...........,
gocchin replied to supo's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The stock length on the 11.5 and 13 are 43.75" so the heads are weighted for a longer length than a typical 3 wood at 43" or shorter. Glad you got them, I loved the way the feel and play! -
Hi Dale, The specs are in Japanese but its easy to figure out the weights, torque and flexes: http://onoff.globeride.co.jp/club/labo-spec/shaft.html Iron shafts are down at the bottom ST95 R and S flex ST105 R and S flex ST120 S and X flex

Profile Differences between Crazy Iron shafts
gocchin replied to RIduffer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The closest thing would be the LY Iron Neo, but its not low launch. If anything its mid for the heaviest weights which are around 78g for the stiff. -
Still playing the VG3 yes. I have been toying with the idea of trying another iron but nothing has motivated me to switch.
-
Onoff is also available custom from their Labospec tour division with their own tour quality steel shafts. 90 105 and 120g models are available in all flexes.

Hi Shambles, sorry I should have said mainstream brands, not major brands though I guess they could be considered the same ie Tourstage, Srixon, Taylormade, Titleist, Callaway, Nike, Mizuno, Yamaha and to a lesser note, Royal collection, ONOFF, Fourteen and others. Where what is made and who makes what is a confusing matter even for us as brands regularly switch production based on economic reasons.

Profile Differences between Crazy Iron shafts
gocchin replied to RIduffer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
01 and 02 are lower launching, CPM similar to DG S300 other wise have difference in weight but are Crazy's heaviest shaft. 100g'ish+ the LY Neo, is mid launching and range from lightweight to very lightweight. The LY Neo standard model which is in the 70g range has dispersion like 100g+ steel but kick and feel more like lighter graphite. Very good distance on the LY and very good control on the CB01 02. -
Yes of course conforming. All JDM models released since late 2009 from major brands are conforming.

The heavy head really allows you to feel the head and where it is at all times in the swing. The heavy head also creates very solid impact. I love the pop of the TRC UT. I actually hook short FW's and UT's if they are too light but not the TRC clubs as their weight really keeps the swing in check.

New 2011 TRC twin rail 3W, any info on these?
gocchin replied to Spoon's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Pretty good, you have the stock UT shaft and its not bad right? The FW's are the same, you can choose from 55 65 and 75g weights. Pretty solid for stock shafts as RC's are made to be heavier, as you probably noticed from the UT as well. -
Should have info soon. Its too be released this month along with some new Crazy Forged irons. T

New 2011 TRC twin rail 3W, any info on these?
gocchin replied to Spoon's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Not hard to hit and very versatile. As I noted in my review a different kind of trajectory, stronger and more penetrating as it is focused on control. http://www.golftoimpress.com/royal-collection-trc-driving-spoon-fairway-and-utility-clubs/ -
Marc, you should be a 6.7 in the CB46. I think the 6.2 is best for 90mph. Though it may come down to the final length you play.

I actually have the pictures of the head still as I had the demo heads here. Quality was very poor finish wise though they may have improved this. They do sell everything from drivers to FW's to utilities and irons and wedges. As Chris said we do have an account with them but since they sent me the demos we have not done anything with it. The company is very small, I mean a year ago it was one guy having all the clubs made in China (which is not necessarily a bad thing but as we saw lots of finish issues). Perhaps we will revisit.

They definitely launch a tad lower than the previous model thanks to slightly less weighting in the sole and the ONOFF symbol in he back which actually raises CG a bit.

Gold's Factory cavity backs- how many sets?
gocchin replied to oldfogey's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
My guess is less than 100. Not sure exactly how many though. -
Both are good but if you want max forgiveness then the Ryoma is the way to go, it also spins lower. Reason why is its a bit more high tech than the Crazy with much thinner walls and that huge booster weight in the back. Both are very nice though... yes get both. (^_^)

Don't forget how many times I told you go to the RC too man. Even though you kept wanting the Yamaha! (^_^)

Epon technity 380cc experiment. Reviving old classic
gocchin replied to Spoon's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Actually C there was a 360 model and even a 340 and 320 in earlier years. The 380 did say 380 Technity or Technica while the older models 360 and lower said Technica I think. T -
Hmmm the head must launch higher then as your heavier Sigma is a lower launching shaft and is made to produce a strong trajectory. I wonder how that Sigma would do in the ryoma!

gocchin replied to Spoon's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The 380 Technity! That has to be one of the best small heads of all time. A heavier shaft definitely works well with the smaller head as it creates stability and almost 3 wood like control. -
All sold thanks!
