Sneak peak at new 2014 Titleist VG3 Iron
Titleist had a press conference touting their new VG3 lineup for 2014. The woods look awesome. The best image I could find of the irons is this one. I am hesitant to pass judgement yet until I see them in person next month but it looks like they may have gotten more forgiving than before with a larger undercut and perhaps wider sole.

Epon SUS316 irons?
Yes times do change and can continue to change! We still love Epon!

Yamaha RMX Driver Scan Thread!
A lot of Japanese manufactuers are hesitant to sell sleeves seperately and this includes tourstage, and Yamaha for now for fear of people messing up and not having the club covered under warranty so for now, shafts must come sleeved from Yamaha.

Legacy black
I could be wrong but I actually I think the ONOFF is the longest of the 3 heel to toe. The vG3 is surprisingly short heel to toe and but thicker on top for confidence.
-
Some other brands: Emilid Bahama / GP-Platinum?!
I prefer the Emillid. We opened an account so it is officially available now through TSG.

2014 ONOFF Drivers
B is right though the ONOFF feels much more like Epon and Yamaha since it is also forged at Endo.

2014 ONOFF Drivers
Well the new ONOFF just came out so I doubt they were overshadowed, they just have not been out long enough. Year in and year out solid performers though. Quality designs, feel and workmanship.

My First Gold's Putter Review and some pics from Gold's Workshop
Shape is a personal thing but different shapes will balance differently and benefit different strokes. ie the Anser is better for an arching putter stroke while the center shaft you have is better for back and forth (plus its very easy to use which is probably why your putting is getting better).

Yamaha RMX Forged vs. ON-OFF Forged vs. Titliest VG3....
ONOFF Forged won't be till late fall as always, As I noted in another thread, VG3 should be at the fair - looking forward to it!

Some other brands: Emilid Bahama / GP-Platinum?!
Both brands are very much boutique brands. We have covered Grand Prix many times at the golf fair... and it is the most bling bling brand in golf. There are pics in our gallery of gold plated and diamond studded irons. Emillid Bahama on the other hand is a brand I have been checking out recently as it is popular with amateurs... we may be carrying it soon.

Mizuno Japan Only MP-R4 Forged Wedge - Retail and Yoro
Yoro Craft! They can add more bounce if you want and even stamp the heads with the right loft/bounce combo.
-
Wedge Recommendations
I already emailed you but I can repeat myself here as well, it would be between the MP-R4 or Vokey Cold Forged. Both have very good feel, spin and forgiveness, and set up nicely. The Mizuno's have the added bonus of being in the Yoro program.

Taylormade Japan 2014 Lineup - Gloire, SLDR 430 TP etc!
Hi Anton, Actually TM was kind enough to already measure it for me and let me know the specs when I asked. While the lie angle of the club head is 56*, this is with the center of the sole laid flat in a loft/lie gauge, the lie angle of the head is 56*, they already confirmed to me the score lines are not parallell to the ground but about 2* more upright. They also hinted at a slightly deeper CG which equals a slightly larger gravity angle thus the flatter lie to compensate. I no longer have the demo here, had to return it to TM Japan but I can see if I can get another one.

My First Gold's Putter Review and some pics from Gold's Workshop
The dots belong to Varit! It's the MAC Hades with Damascus insert! Thanks T for posting your pics and feedback!

PRGR Egg i+ Utility Iron Pictures
It feels hotter but the feel is still afterall maraging so its a mixed bag. Admittedly some dislike the feel others don't mind it but it does not feel like a driving iron or iron for sure, But one cannot deny its performance.

romaro 455 LX driver...real or fake?
Looks real to me. Older model but its still being sold by Romaro. We never really carried it because the 460 was a better head.

Taylormade Japan 2014 Lineup - Gloire, SLDR 430 TP etc!
The lie angle is NOT a typo. It is in fact 56* and this is confirmed by Taylormade Japan. They said if it was a typo they would have corrected it by now since the driver has been out over a month and the 56* is on all their literature as well.

PRGR Egg i+ Utility Iron Pictures
I posted some pics up back in August and yes the egg UT's never have much offset. driverhead already reviewed them back in October For an iron type UT, they are still one of the best, especially distance wise. I've had customers freak our that the 4ut was longer than their 5W!! Here were my original pics:

Callaway Legacy Black Forged - Henrik Stenson's JDM Irons
I actually reviewed these irons 19 months ago and I've posted on the forum a few times about them. http://www.golftoimpress.com/callaway-legacy-black-forged-iron-review/ They were amazing but only a few people jumped at getting them (I think nobody at all in the forum) over the course of the year most likely due to the high retail price. Since I put them on special back in November I think we've sold more than 40 sets but Callaway Japan is finally all out. We may be able to source more from friendly partners here in Japan but the cost will go up most likely.

Varit's Teflon Black Inner Sound Slot and 1st Edition Seven Putter - Tuned by Gold's Factory
The smooth surface or what Gold's calls fine milling is actually my favorite as well... still soft but good feedback.

Buchi Irons review- sort of
Awesome feedback C, looking forward to hearing more especially since they got good marks even in bad conditions. To confirm a few things. The stock shaft in the Shepherd Air is made by Basileus and is 50t. Yours is an R flex as it plays stiff. The S is the designation on all JDM shafts which is an industry certification. The irons and wedges are forged in Himeji. As I had mentioned to you and on this forum before, how an iron feels is attributed to several factors. Many players are super concerned with materials ie S20C is softer than S25C but beyond materials, the design of a club, the grind, even the finish will impact the feel as it dictates how you make impact with a ball. The grind play a factor in how you interact with the turf and how cleanly you strike the ball, the design will affect the CG and the meat of the club. All in all it sounds like a good start. Those driving irons are beauties!

Varit's Teflon Black Inner Sound Slot and 1st Edition Seven Putter - Tuned by Gold's Factory
I had covered the original prototype on the blog here http://www.golftoimpress.com/golds-factory-prototype-inner-sound-slot/ It does not have nearly as much of a tink sound as an exposed slot but more of a muted thud that changes pitch depending on where on the face you hit it. So an advantage of this as well as it does not alter feel as significantly as a traditional slot/slit.
