  1. that just might be the winner of the club description for feel award of the yr..........., 'well i was hitting me wedges , the other day , VERY al- dente" Mjr d won last it yr with his "efforless soaring bombs" description of drivers . (god ive nicked that one a billion times!) keep em coming
  2. the yammy tours are just so lovely. i think ur right with the epon 302 being a bit more forgiving the yammys are much better for precision, im using my 2010a tom ait hte DG x 100 was hittig the back out of them aslt night at the range. "yesss i can seeeeeeeeeeeee the light...............!"
  3. these are great looking sticks. was so bummed we couldnt hit them at the show. chris i seem to remember the guy saying zodia chiba makes them and they are forged at kyoei. the MBs that i , that all iwas concerned about
  4. hi the sigma is heavy and powerful. i think anyone big and fast would love this shaft i mean really love it its pretty expensive but i would gladly swap out my shafts out and put these in all my fairways. i hit them in the range at the crazy factory before i even knew anything about them, and i prefred these to the 80 blacks FW bec they are heavier. the black is the best out and out FW ive ever hit. till now. and a cut FEX is the best fw. to play. the diff between the fw variety and a cut driver is marked. i prefer cut driver. but its SO SO hard to get yourself to cut a driver shaft at that price range bec. what if it dont work?? luckily i do mange to do thsi a lot and find out. that sigma tho , felt amazingly good in th nets the driver shaft i have is also fantabuous if u like heavy toinking shafts then the sigma is one ot seriuosly consider. so is the p9003x that thing doesnt get ANYWHERE near the reco it shud do. here a littel list of what I consider to be the best FWS shafts crazy black 80 FW light and just the gold standrard of actualy FW shafts for moi these gt sensationall in all flex. quadra fex FW-- right up the kyber of the crazy but a slightyl more soft elastic feel to it. prob longer. impossible to passup if on offer. sigma fw see above.., roddio s7 tour proto.. not really for general consumption. but i can assure u these are never going to egt swapped out, im selling my RC 304o with te crazy black 80 to keep these instead, absolute hens teeth and well, they were shingoes they go ok. HA! now cut driver shafts quadra FEX-- cant beat it. Graphite deign md- was the gold standard a cpl of yrs back, a lot of fwsfrom 3 yrs a go have these i nthem for a ver ygood reason, mid flight tight but definatly workable ,and beautiful feeling diamana blue--- for the price they are .iits impossoble not to like these. if budget is an issue these WIN. diama kaili-- in a 3 wood it plays a lot bette than in a driver. dont ask me why it just does, its low and piercing but just a tad o whip to it was incredible surprised by how good it was. graphite design PT--- had these in my RC 304p i swapped out to the crazyies to bring the flight down. if u like a mid flight with plenty of oomph, then this cant be ignored, im almost regrettign swapping them out. if it werent for the roddios id put them back in for sure. very very nice easy to hit fw AND FEEL TERRIFICO. ozik f6m2-- low realy thin, fells very responsive to mvment, def too light for me , but i thnk its a ripper , ive been considering cutting my f7m2 but i think i can put this in a driver. ozikx-con 6 ive got this in a 5 wood nd for moving the ball about this is utterly sensational. funnily tho i put it in a 3 wood and it was horrible. i think it need to be cut and tipped to make it sing ,and like dame joan sutherland sing it does. thats a few of my favs if ur in doubt then any of these will be really really good. one caveat...... i picked up an original diamana stinger form 2004 in x flex tipped and butted to play i n a 5 wood ,was a J pros a few yrs ago. THIS IS THE BEST SHAFT THERE IS. that belongs in my yamaha v14 form 2010, and no its NEVER for sale. hope that helps a cpl of people out sorry for not a lot of detai lbut im doing this on the go at work.
  5. hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahahahahahahahahahhaha oy yes indeed....... geee that sounds fmailiar hence my new foray into newport 2.7 double bend shaft just trying to get a tour one and pay a fotune for it and stil putt like a mong!
  6. u asked about yamahas there a post about 10 under this one about them the lofts are jacked but theres not a lt wrong with them what so ever. any model is fine
  7. i found it to be really steel like. i played it in the superfast and the eggs nad set of roma-ro irons and had to change it over. just felt like hitting a steel rod to me. distance was terrific and its dispersion was tight but the fubuki alpha 70s kept going left for me every shot i hit it was most inconvenient i love the look of it , all diamana shafts just look bloody sensational. it reminded me of that v2 orangey yellow thing hideous feel oh gawd..., , but whooly smokeshas there ever been a better shaft? judging by the way its still palyed by the big boys on tour prob not.
  8. the fubukis are a draw biased shaft the launch mid ish ive found they go ok, but feel ike.......... well , not good. they are the upgrade shaft in the egg spoons they play well but feel dreadfull. 63 is prob too light u want at leat a 70 weight in the 3 wood id think cut a quadra fex 75 s and put that in anything its winner winner chicken dinner. im beginning to think its better in the fairwasy than in a driver!
  9. yea ive done a heap of reviews on the 80 fw these, the quadra fex, the kaili, the GD md in my book uper echleon depening on price crazy 80 fw u can go a flex tighter no probs at all. waiit ill tom im seiing a cpl of royal collections 304p aith crazy 80 fw 8.2 u cna he a peek at thsoe, not much better ive ever made than these.
  10. Sat game was with a cpl of mates, nothing serious so the bag was FULL of gear. the drivers i limited to two . EPON 101 9.5* ---------- diamana stinger 70s 45 x 319 x d2.5 EPON 102 8.5* ------------ quadra prototype 75 xs 45 x 324 x d3 9 holes with each,no mixing . swapped at the 10th. wasnt driving the ball that well on sat was hitting a lot off the toe all day. which for this experiment isnt bad thing actually... great to see how they played when the A-games not in the bag. used the 101/stinger fornt 9. 6 drives on a tight and long driving track. hit 3 of 6 on the short stuff 2 were less that a foot in the rough one was a 2nd cut over all not a problem what so ever. every shot ended up perfectly playable. toed 1 heeled one middled 4 distance was fine, was windy and got the ball to pierce the wind very nicely lower shat than id expected actually. bit of roll lots of carry the stinger in this head is a billion times better suited than in the 102 dont ask me why but it is. got the ball to turn slightly in both directions when needed, just a smidge didnt realy want to swap this club over at lunch but that was the exercise. feeling was super. very electric tip heavy , canfeel the shaftsnap straight at impact. great feeling , performing club. id give this a 9.5/10 the epon 102 quadra proto 75 xs has been my stable club for a few months however not hitting the ball well auguered very poorly for me on sat with this club in hand. the epon poroto is the more solid of the two drivers , its heavier ,and more "weighty" at impact the ability to move the ball is severly diminished , its pretty much point shoot, very percing, driving shots the extra weight makes it essential to turn ur hands over otherwise ur going right all day. it didnt slice it was just a block everything went right into the rough . if u dont got yr big guns with ya with this driver ......ur gonna spend the day bounding down the right side of " the hurt locker." when u DO have the cannons on tho., oh boy, aint much better. the 101 is the easier and more consistant of the two. esp miss hits off the centre u can split it , i think the 102 head is better and longer. the 2 combos as are are just perfect as they are. the 102 is the longer and more solid the 101 is more workable andbetter feeling the 102 is more piercing the 101 def higher, but abslutely no ballooning what so ever. just more carry. if only one of these? id have to plumb for the 101 stinger bec its easier to hit consistantly and bad swing days arnt going to leave u chopsui. on big days tho id play the 102 any dayof the yr. both utterly sensational sticks. the 101 get it bec its easier..............,
  11. not changing this ever fex is sensational long raking , workable fairways shots . not as high as i forst thought, i hit 4 shots dead centre 250ish yesterday off the fairway its a bit harder to hit than the rc but when connected from the middle its superb love the shape at address, it suite my eye briliantly, really small head is it better than the RC or yamaha? wont say no,, wont say yes only say i wont be giving it up and its in the bag till further notice along side the kasco
  12. hahahaaaahaa of course they are fine! not the point post the coppers!!!! frank if those crazys dont obliterate the miuras ill be shocked dismayed and prob long a set of crazys . i dont htink thres any siliarities what so ever. the only possibility u might not like them is the shape at address pls lord.................................. (let him hate the shape)pls , pls,pls
  13. juts in case u dont like them......................................,
  14. well it might be a beaut looking club i think..........., if the photos get better , might have to get u a prope r camera old boy! ha my mate might want this taking to him now
  15. hahahhaahha yea well thast there as well......., i just ahd the thougth bec ive played both of them and both heads and they both work . at yr SS tho u will be better off with the gd p9003x for certian .... thats an 83 gram shaft and the crazy. well its crazy ita like 73 i think
  16. what a great bag. juts delightfull. the yonex driver is a wonder full fairway finder. may i suggest to you in that head the quadra fex. or the GD p9003x for unrivaled performance. yr getting the new 380. agn i just had a thought the GD p9003x is what u shud get. ill GUARANTEE you wont be dissapointed ,if u are ill buy it immediatly!
  17. bogeys the man for this question . hes had them all the o8s are more like a muscle cavity, they launch a littel higher than t the( 2010s )and i feel i dont have to swing quite as hard in the long irons. over all i think they are a little easier to hit. i cant get em out of my bag.
  18. ur a lucky fella. im bit surprised by that actually. i thought the ryoma would have been clearly superior for accuracy but then agn if ur misses are just on the fringe of the first cut. i thinkthast just as importnat as being fariways hit . if ur first cut then thats perfectly fine, if ur misses are in the trees then thats a huge thing. i find total dispersion with the ryoma is very hard to beat. my misess are pretty much alway good misses. th distance difference doenst really shock me, u can get the epon cranked up pretty nicely. and yes its the better feeling club IMO as well. u got 2 pretty good clubs at yr disposal there. in the wind i find the ryoma NOW withthe SW corrected is fabulous. very punchy and still super straight. oveall misses with both what do u think is the better club i clearly think th ryoma is my best overal drive bec of this fact the misses with it dont kill me
  19. oooooooooooh weeeeeeeeeeeeee.., niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! my buddy rear admiral lord smibbington uses these, cant get them out of his hands. brilliant photos .
  20. well......., ive been playing many and varied over the last 2 yrs i started with a 62 gram stiff and now im hitting 73-77 gram sx and even an 83 gram sx my own expeience is the lighter shafts are much harder to control and hit from centre with regularity my SS was much faster but i constanltly hit the bottom of the face of the club. i found i was swinging over the ball regularly, i only realsied how much when i went t the 75sx shaft and started middling the balll so much more consistantly. i had a fitting sesshy at the crazy factory 2 months ago and they put the 83 gram crazy 50 sigma in my driver. i though they were nuts, but after playing it 6 matches now i realise its not so crazy. def my SS is down , but i middle the ball much more often now and my smash factor is better than with the lighter clubs it seems a club at around 325g plus is much better for me than one at 310. i mean MUCH better. theres abviously an upper limit, and im still not 100% convinced the 83 is the right weight for me. but on saturday it was plenty good enough. id rather hit a slightlyy too heavy club now than a too light one. can always choke down on the heavy boy and let it rip. try a thicker grip like the winn ones it makes it feel llike th club is heavier when its actually not, i did that with some success a cpl of yrs back. but still when i miss it it goes massively high and right like fairways over, thats a good way to get head speed up without going heavier, also depneds on what u like in yr hands. like a light x flex to me feeels awfully tinny, a heavier regular or stiff feels a lot more comfortable. in my book its like kinda like riding a harley to a yamaha bosso sokko scooter
  21. no probs with the base plate at all. ive hit mine at range a few times and nothing wrong in the slightest.
  22. that 11* works really well. its very very 3 wood esque in looks. i like tht i like a big head on the tee. the 380 yonex and i are going to slpit up agn. its just not hapening i had to stop using it on sunday and take the 11* out instead. seriosuly thats not good when i gotta do that on a 420 yard open par 4 . juts not happeneing. the 13.5* i stil have without a shaft on it. dont know what ill do with it.
